I just read this and agree with it and all the 4 comments. I pray for our nations leaders every day that they will have an encounter with the LORD and they will be changed. I think it is a great idea to ask our churches to have a “concert of prayer” for our nations and our government leaders. I read something in Daily with the King, a devotional book by W. Glyn Evans Copywrite 1979, that I am sharing with you here:

The devotion is entitled: The Masters God Puts over Us.
It is quite possible that God will farm me out to other masters for my own spiritual education. The Jews of Jeremiah’s day were told, “Serve the king of Babylon, and live” (Jeremiah 27:17). God decided to farm out the Jews to Nebuchadnezzar for seventy years until their idolatry was purged. So the king of Babylon was their new “temporary master,” and they were to cooperate with him and “live.”

It surprises me that good King Hezekiah, godly as he was, did not cure the Jews of idolatry, but bad King Nebuchadnezzar, pagan as he was, did! The lesson for me is, my touchy neighbor may do me more good than my godly pastor. My atheistic foreman at the factory may purge me from my impatience faster and better than my Bible class teacher. This I know–God will not quibble over instruments. If He could use Babylon to purge the Jews, He can certainly use an unlikely agent to purge me.

This explains why my circumstances are filled with specially chosen people. Regardless of their relationship to God, God has a special relationship to them. They are His tools for the fine work of chiseling character in His disciples. That means that I must change my attitude toward the “unspiritual” and “worldly minded” people who make up my environment. Without them I can never become what God intends for me to be. So I am going to start praising God for them. I will no longer tell God what instruments He is going to use to shape me. And I will thank Him for the instruments He has already chosen, I can rejoice that God’s agencies are for my sake, “so that the grace that is reaching more and more people may cause thanksgiving to overflow to the glory of God” (2 Corinthians 4:15, NIV).

“And I will give you the treasure of darkness, and hidden wealth of secret places, in order that you may know that it is I, the LORD, the God of Israel, who call you by your name” (Isaiah 45:3).

When I read this, I thought that perhaps God will use our current government leaders to wake up the churches of America and cause them to start repenting of their sin and pray and turn from their wicked ways (2 Chron. 7:14).

I struggle with fear about what the future holds for our country and for us personally, but I remind myself that God has promised never to forsake us, and I choose to believe Him.

Dear LORD, please hear our prayers today and give us the wisdom and the courage to do whatever we can to serve You faithfully as long as You give us life. Thank You for Your love and for Jesus, our LORD and Saviour. Amen.

I firmly believe that this is a planned destruction of this country. The actions of this administration prove that they have sold us out to the communists. If the American public could see the behind the scenes activities that are going on, we would be appalled. We have pushed God out of this country, so unless we all get together and pray, why would He help us. I see no actions on the part of churches to have weekly or monthly prayer gatherings to pray for this country, at least, not in my church, and I don’t hear of other churches that are doing this. We are a nation scared to breath because we are told by the mmsm (ALL OF WHICH HAS BEEN PLANNED), that we need to mask, close down businesses, prevent our children from going to school, because a virus, which kills less than 1/2 of a percent of the people is governing our lives. THE LORD IS IN CHARGE, NOT THE VIRUS. Pharmaceutical companies have been given permission to poison the people in the hopes that they will not get the virus. Well, look at all the people who have been vaccinated, who are still getting the virus, which, by the way, the real scientists, have predicted, and wearing masks has been proved not to prevent anyone from getting it. People would have said the government was insane, when I was a kid, if all the businesses and schools had been shut down because we got the mumps, or chicken pox. We didn’t have the government dictating what the MSM could talk about, and in those days, the pharmaceutical companies hadn’t gained the control they have now, and Bill Gates didn’t have the most money in the world. YOU MAY THINK ALL OF THIS IS CRAZY AND RAMBLING, BUT DON’T TAKE MY WORD FOR IT. PRAY AND ASK THE LORD FOR WISDOM AND GUIDANCE TO BE DISCERNING ABOUT WHAT IS HAPPENING, AND ASK THE HOLY SPIRIT FOR HELP IN HOW TO CHANGE THE DIRECTION WHERE THIS COUNTRY IS HEADED. REMEMBER, THE LORD IS IN CHARGE, AND ONLY HE CAN CHANGE ANYTHING. WE ARE CHILDREN OF GOD, HEIRS TO HEAVEN, AND HE HAS PROMISED TO PROTECT US.
