THIS ELECTION DOES NOT JUST IMPACT THE NEXT FOUR YEARS, BUT THE NEXT 20 + YEARS. . . .
On September 18, 2020 Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg passed away, opening a vacancy on the Supreme Court.
Aside from filling Justice Ginsburg place on the Supreme Court it is probable that in the next four years there will be another vacancy for Justice Stephen Breyer (age 81).
Supreme Court Justices are appointed for life and these new justices may serve for the next 20 or more years.
Statement of Chief Justice John G. Roberts, Jr. on September 19, 2020 about Justice Ginsburg:
“Our Nation has lost a jurist of historic stature. We at the Supreme Court have lost a cherished colleague. Today we mourn, but with confidence that future generations will remember Ruth Bader Ginsburg as we knew her — a tireless and resolute champion of justice.”

President Trump on replacing the vacancy for a Supreme Court Justice later this week:
“I’m just doing my constitutional obligation,” he told reporters as he left for a rally in Ohio. “I have an obligation to do this, so I would rather see it before the election.”
Candidate Biden on withdrawing Trump’s nominee for the Supreme Court vacancy:
“If I win this election, President Trump’s nominee should be withdrawn and, as the new president, I should be the one to nominate Justice Ginsburg’s successor,”

Precious Lord and Father of us all. I lift Pres. Trump to you today to receive your wisdom and guidance. Father I pray that he will not be deceived by anything but will see the truth about each candidate that he is reviewing. Lord, have your way concerning the next supreme court justice. Father you know what each of these candidates are made of and stand for. Lord Jesus may your perfect will be done concerning this next justice and may the court once again stand for the truth of God and the truth that our nations founders intended when they penned our constitution. Lord America hangs in the balance; will She follow your ways or the way of our culture which has fallen so short of your will for this people. Please restore righteousness and holiness to this nation. I pray once again that God will be lifted up above all the land. Amen.
Father, sift the hearts of each justice being considered for the Supreme Court position. Sift also the heart of our President, Donald Trump, so he will clearly see Your choice for this position. Lord, as You made it clear from the beginning who each person was to be in what position as You built Your Temple on earth — their calling — the gifts You created them with for each job — may Your Light shine on that justice designed by You for such a time as this. May it be Your choice for Your purposes, and may President Trump see Your light on that individual as he makes this important decision to honor You. Through the blood of Jesus and in His powerful Name, Amen.
Father God, In Jesus name we pray for Your choice of Justice to be chosen and sit to replace RBG. Even the timing of RBG is Your timing and it’s perfect. We thank You. Whoever that You’ll place will put YOU first before even the Constitution. Protect her/him and allow a smooth appointment. Thank You Father. Amen.
Father, in Jesus name I pray for our nation . Forgive us as individuals and as a nation for turning from You. We need You! I pray for president Trump’s judgement in choosing the next Supreme Court Justice let his choice line up with Your heart and Your word . I pray Your heavenly protection over the candidate. Hide them under the shadow of Your wings and be glorified in the process . You alone are worthy of all praise and honor and glory . Amen
