From CBS News. Hunter Biden pleaded not guilty to nine federal tax charges in the Central District of California on Thursday before District Judge Mark Scarsi.

Federal prosecutors allege President Biden’s son engaged in a “four-year scheme” to avoid paying at least $1.4 million in federal taxes. In December, they charged Hunter Biden with nine counts of tax crimes, including three felony and six misdemeanor charges related to his alleged failure to file and pay taxes, evasion of assessment and filing a false or fraudulent tax return. If convicted, he faces up to 17 years in prison.
In the hearing … Scarsi asked if Biden understood the charges.
“I do, your honor,” he replied. Shortly afterward, the president’s son rose from his seat and entered his plea, stating “not guilty” in response to each of the nine counts.
His trial will begin June 20, with pre-trial motions on March 27 and a pre-trial hearing on June 3. Hunter Biden has been released on his own recognizance on conditions, which include no possession of firearms, no alcohol, no illegal drugs or marijuana, as well as supervision by pre-trial services.
In the 56-page indictment, prosecutors alleged Hunter Biden earned more than $7 million in gross income when he failed to pay taxes. They said he funded an “extravagant lifestyle” and evaded taxes by classifying some personal expenditures — such as luxury hotel stays, luxury vehicle rentals and escort services — as business deductions. …

May your Spirit work in mighty ways to expose, prosecute and bring equal justice in all cases against him. Show him he is heading down the path of destruction, convict him that he would see his need to repent and cry out to you for mercy. May justice and righteousness be the standard for our country, and turn the lies of the enemy on the heads of those who use them. Thank You for being our Mighty God, merciful, faithful, just and true. Unite Your people to walk in integrity and engage the lost, sharing the Good News. May the craziness and corruption of our day be used to turn many to You. Thank You, Lord!
Lord. You are a righteous judge who hates wickedness and evil. Lord, You see the deeds carried out and You know the motives and intentions of the heart. Lord, render your righteous judgment and consequences. Lord, I trust and rely on You. Vengeance is Yours, Lord, You will repay.
