From The Wall Street Journal. Hunter Biden was indicted on nine tax charges Thursday, in a case that adds a new layer of legal peril for President Biden’s son as he faces continued congressional scrutiny and a separate prosecution on felony gun charges.

The indictment from a grand jury seated in Los Angeles sets up another case with the potential for a trial coinciding with the president’s re-election campaign.

The indictment includes three felony charges and six misdemeanor tax offenses, adding new allegations to those included in a plea deal Hunter Biden reached with federal prosecutors earlier this year that later fell apart.
In the 56-page indictment, prosecutors from special counsel David Weiss’s office said the younger Biden chose over a four-year period not to pay at least $1.4 million in federal taxes he owed for the years 2016—the final full year of Joe Biden’s vice presidency—through 2019. …
The indictment refers to earnings from connections Hunter Biden made in Ukraine, Romania and China. He was paid into U.S. bank accounts through entities in those countries and elsewhere, the indictment says. …

Republicans have long tried to use Hunter Biden’s woes to paint Joe Biden in a negative light and deflect from Trump’s many legal issues. …
The charges could lead to a politically embarrassing trial for the younger Biden amid next year’s campaign. A tax trial would likely include details about Hunter Biden’s lavish and sordid spending habits, which contrast with President Biden’s working-class political brand.
The indictment offered a flavor of the salacious and possibly damaging tidbits. “Between 2016 and October 15, 2020, the Defendant spent this money on drugs, escorts and girlfriends, luxury hotels and rental properties, exotic cars, clothing, and other items of a personal nature, in short, everything but his taxes.”
The indictment also itemizes how Hunter Biden allegedly spent money, including about $680,000 on “various women” over the course of the four years and nearly $190,000 on “adult entertainment.”
Prosecutors listed a number of personal items they say Hunter Biden inappropriately claimed as business expenses on his taxes, including rent payments for a daughter’s New York apartment and $30,000 for a daughter’s law school tuition.
He also claimed as business expenses payments for exotic dancers, strip clubs, pornography and $10,000 for a sex-club membership, the indictment says. …
On Capitol Hill, House Republicans have ramped up their investigation into the Biden family’s financial dealings. In response to a subpoena demanding his closed-door testimony on Dec. 13, the younger Biden said he was willing to testify publicly but not privately out of concern that lawmakers would selectively leak and twist portions of his testimony.
On Wednesday, the two top Republicans leading an impeachment inquiry into President Biden warned his son that they would hold him in contempt if he fails to appear next week. Reps. James Comer (R., Ky.) and Jim Jordan (R., Ohio) the respective chairmen of the House Oversight and Accountability and Judiciary Committees, said in a joint letter that the younger Biden couldn’t dictate the terms of his testimony. …
Throughout their inquiry, House Republicans have sought to tie the president to his family’s business dealings and examine whether he benefited or was compromised by those activities. While lawmakers have obtained testimony that President Biden occasionally met his son’s business associates, they have not found proof that the president profited from the arrangements. …

Hunter is in big trouble & he knows it. The still lost, prodigal son of our
present corrupt & illegitimate president is determined to use every legal means at his disposal (and use it both legally & illegally) to avoid accountability & prosecution. So far, he’s had moderate success because all the pawns that have been put in place are still cooperating through silence, cover-up, coercion & steady payoffs. You & I continue to witness what can be uncovered through the constant pursuit of truth. It’s why so many people worked so hard to bury the laptop, Epstein Island, etc. The truth revealed destroys their perceived power. They haven’t even talked about Hunter’s hush payments to “underage” girls (that
qualifies as a pedofile) for his sexual trysts & those girls are presently afraid to come forward because they fear what will happen to them. But as long as you & I continue to ask God to reveal all truth involving these criminal activities…it WILL come forth. But we have to be faithful in asking God for that & for the right reasons (not vengeance). God desires everyone, including Hunter, to be saved. God will use anything to break down those walls in order to save the lost.
I also believe that there are many who willingly are offering up Hunter as “disposable” to protect their hold on power. Those that pretend to be the Biden loyalists are more than willing to let the son crash & burn “if it allows them to remain in power”. Let’s pray that God will reveal those people & that they will make mistake after mistake, exposing their true intentions. The people behind this are so deeply corrupt that they see no way other than their own. They have sold themselves to hell & I think, for the most part, don’t realize it. (a few do know but don’t care) All this gov’t., family & exterior/outside involvement (criminal activity) coming forth is painful for our nation but it’s absolutely necessary if our nation to correct our course. The process of cleansing is often painful. Please also pray for increased strength & courage for those doing the work. They are under great pressure & desperately need our prayers & God’s protection.

My thoughts are that Hunter will wiggle his way out using legal means yet again, sadly.
What I find so interesting about the Hunter Biden story is the fact that his Dad’s party is trying to get tougher gun laws and there is Hunter; violating the gun laws. They are saying the rich should have to pay more taxes and there is Hunter. It is exactly like the Communist countries: do as I say and not as I do. A system of government that we have had for some time. The Political elites ; of both parties; get by with murder. They serve themselves and not the people of the United States.
It’s not true that they haven’t found evidence of bribery on J Biden. It’s also inaccurate that Republicans have tried to ‘paint’ a negative view on JB using his son. The laptop evidence is real. JB is compromised by the testimony of the business partner in Ukraine deal with energy executives. There’s even a video where JB threats are exposed. This is why JB is being impeached. It’s so serious what is going on in this country that when I read the definition of genocide that is what has happened to me . And multiple women are dead nothing was done. I have no reason to care anymore it’s that dire. The media is not reporting the truth they are promoting communism, genocide against Americans and calling it racism so no one listens. This country is in dire problems , we are near a base and I was told via others that they were being washed of American values it’s very serious. If you don’t believe it you soon will. I do believe that our country is under attack and it’s possible everyone in government is under threat and attack and the military is not protecting our country as it’s a little weird to make excuses to stop military appointments things don’t add up I’m very worried not to mention my own personal battle. I feel we do not have a country , our nuclear sirens went off with no explanations, our community didn’t celebrate 4 th of July, and it’s about to be a very serious battle in our country. People better wake up or you soon will be woken up to someone taking your property your life just like what’s happening their except here people are so dumb they don’t even protect us. No one needs Hunter Biden’s woes to paint President Biden in a negative light. This President is shameful enough on his own. Good grief. Was this a reading test? I’m still checking myself.
