House Republicans have followed through, voting to hold Merrick Garland in contempt of Congress.
From Fox News. The House voted to hold Attorney General Merrick Garland in contempt of Congress on Wednesday, referring the top Department of Justice (DOJ) official for criminal charges.

The measure passed nearly along party lines in a 216 to 207 vote, with just one Republican, Rep. David Joyce, R-Ohio, voting against it. …
GOP lawmakers aimed to hold Garland in contempt over his refusal to turn over audio recordings of Special Counsel Robert Hur’s interview with President Biden.
Hur concluded that no criminal charges were warranted in Biden’s handling of classified documents, but also said the 81-year-old president presented himself “as a sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory,” and that “it would be difficult to convince a jury that they should convict him — by then a former president well into his eighties — of a serious felony that requires a mental state of willfulness.”
Biden and his allies aggressively pushed back on concerns about his mental fitness in the report’s wake.
The Justice Department released a statement from Attorney General Garland after the vote.
“It is deeply disappointing that this House of Representatives has turned a serious congressional authority into a partisan weapon. Today’s vote disregards the constitutional separation of powers, the Justice Department’s need to protect its investigations, and the substantial amount of information we have provided to the Committees,” he said. …
Republicans seeking the audio recording argued it would provide critical context about Biden’s state of mind. Democrats, meanwhile, have dismissed the request as a partisan attempt to politicize the Department of Justice. …
It’s highly unlikely the DOJ will act on House Republicans’ Garland referral, something that frustrated House Republicans who spoke with Fox News Digital on Wednesday. …

There is a reason the Pharaoh of Egypt kept hardening his heart. He was in his eyes a god. Dishonest officials in this land must think they do not have to honor or fear Our God. They must think they are untouchable when it comes to being honest, they apparently have adapted a seared conscience. Power and love of money can cloud up one’s mind as to what is good and what is evil. Instead what is in their best, selfish interest, is good.
We know from past history God drowned out the enemy through His chosen deliverers, His people. He will do it again!
My prayers is Lord God strengthen your chosen vessels of integrity to be in line with Your will-in all places of leadership in this nation. Give them Your wisdom to carry out what You have planned for each and everyone of them. Lord God birth honesty, truth, honor for what is in the best interest of the citizens of America, the land of the free, the home of the brave and fear, honor and worship of THEE, “In God we trust”!
Lord God Forgive us for falling short in all of the these things, and more!
If President Biden is so mentally impaired that he cannot turn over these recordings. Then why is he still President! He’s the one leaking national securities and forgetting what he said to whom. Then who is actually putting the thoughts and ideas into his old senile head (that is the person who is actually running the country). That is the real reason they don’t want to turn over the tapes. It will show the world who is actually telling the President what to do. By this our President is not fit to hold office. We the people have a right to know what &/who is actually running our country! Why the elected officials are allowing this to continue!!!
I pray for true repentance of Mr. Garland and that he comes to salvation and the knowledge of Jesus Christ as savior. May you use this opportunity to expose the lies of the enemy. God I pray for a revival among the D.C, bureaucrats which includes all government officials that have been comprised. In Jesus’ name.

I pray he realizes today, he will not escape Your ETERNAL contempt if he continues to refuse to honor the words he swore. Lord, Jesus Christ Son of God, have mercy on me a sinner. Lord, Jesus Christ Son of God, have mercy on Merrick a sinner. I believe every one of Your words, from “in the beginning” to “the grace of the Lord Jesus be with God’s people.” I believe (in a word) You can make him and all the contemptible in our government, Your people. I believe. Amen
