Only a move of the Holy Spirit can change hearts. It is troubling that so many put faith in a man as though he is a messiah and that he encourages this.
That in itself is unholy, but it is especially troubling when that person has turned on his Christian brother because they disagreed over what the Constitution allowed and got into twitter battles with celebrities while president and has plans to take revenge against his enemies once he becomes president and has lied in front of a camera.
Lord, have mercy on this country! Turn the intercessors around!
At this time of the birth of our holy king, Jesus, let there be a new awakening in America in our justice system in our government as a whole. I would like to know if you offered this opportunity to other candidates. I think Trump has been treated very badly, but I do NOT want to see him to be our president again. He has shown he doesn’t care about my vote. He has also shown that he can not admit he is wrong. He can’t even admit he ever sinned & needs forgiveness. President Trump was a great president. I believe that the election was fraudulent. I think he is being persecuted. As a believer, I do not understand the messianic aura that so many place on him–that he is “the one” and no one else can be.
I do not think he is the best man for the job now. Most of DJT’s actions were through executive orders. Actions need to be legislative to be sustained past a term of that president. DJT said we would never be a socialist nation and then undermined that by the outrageous Covid response. I was working and my husband was working, yet we were sent thousands of dollars by the federal government. Meanwhile, small business owners couldn’t survive the ridiculous responses led by Fauci, the CDC, and other gov’t agencies. (Trump could have fired Fauci but listened to his son-in-law instead–Who is going to be advising Trump the next time?) DJT had no response to the crackdown in Hong Kong, he did not respond to the fraudulent elections in Venezuela, he did not get Keystone Pipeline done, he did not stop government funding of sex change operations for minors or use of hormones for “gender dysphoria”. (A lot, if not most health insurance companies pay for these due to federal pressure and Planned Parenthood gets money for hormone treatments.) DJT had a hard time figuring out friend or foe. How has he demonstrated that he can put together a cabinet any better than the last time? He does fight, but he’s not the only one who can fight.
Ron DeSantis has stood up for protecting life. He has fought the LGBT promoters in his state–He stood up to Disney and even turned the tables on them. He opened up Florida to tourism, he opened up the schools in the summer of 2020! He has military experience, he has legal experience, he has legislative experience, he has executive experience. He doesn’t have to resort to name-calling or belittle other people to get the job done. As a believer who worked hard to get DJT elected in 2016 and in 2020, I pray that people will see that DJT was good and that we can do even better with RDS in 2024.

I usually agree with your prayer requests. I do pray for our government leaders, and that God’s will be done. However, I find it hard to pray that Donald Trump would be our next president. He doesn’t act like a Christian, and everyday he is calling someone disgusting names. Mike Pence and Tim Scott profess their faith daily, and act like Christians in their daily life. Where were the Christians when they were candidates. Some of Trump’s trials might be bogus, but he enjoyed the Jan. 6 insurrection. I will pray for him, to find a true relationship with Jesus, to take his faith seriously, for his protection, but not to become our next president.
I believe you may be confused about Trump’s position as President,
or potential President. Donald Trump is not our Savior, Jesus Christ has been, is now, and will always be our Savior. I don’t vote for a candidate based on his personality
or perceived public social status; I vote according to the person’s stand on policies that are important to me as a Christian. He stands against wholesale abortion (up to the moment of birth, (for any reason or no reason). He is against the LBGT etc., etc. agenda and the transgender and sexual mental illness madness being forced on vulnerable, naive young children who have no idea what it really is about, teenagers who are confused and are being indoctrinated, and on the public in general. He is against open borders that allow drugs, sex traffickers, violent criminals, and others into our communities without any vetting or accountability of where they are once here. He is against ILLEGAL immigrants taking first place for public assistance from helpless children, the elderly, the mentally and physically challenged, our veterans and American citizens who are ill and now have nowhere to go for help because all public systems are overwhelmed. He is for freedom of religion for people to choose the one, true, living God, or not. God doesn’t force us to accept Jesus as the way, the truth, and the life and we don’t make Jesus our Savior; he is our Savior by God’s perfect plan whether or not we decide to submit our lives to him. And my Mother always told me that if there comes a time when God wants me to help Him judge others whom I don’t know the true condition of their hearts, minds or lives personally, he’ll let me know. I pray for all of us to focus on God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit and our mission to spread the good news of Jesus so that none would be lost! Peace and grace to you always.

I also agree with you Nancy. God raises up people for such times as these. These people are just that. We all have flaws and Mr Trump has that but he has shown to be the businessman that is successful. His determination in the last years against amazing odds has kept many hopeful that this country shall be saved. I don’t think there are many people who would still be fighting for this country after all the things that continue to be thrown at him. I believe that yes we should all focus in prayer on spiritual protection for this country and the people who want to save it. Prayer warriors unite!! In Jesus name.
