Family Research Council has come up with a great guide for churches as states begin to re-open, based on the White House guidelines: https://downloads.frc.org/EF/EF20D29.pdf.

What is your hope for your church as the states begin to re-open? Leave a comment.

I was raised in a Christian home and in my 70 yrs. have watched the pulpit of many churches change drastically. Since 2000 it appears that pastors no longer preach what the Bible says about any cultural issues. We can see that large churches now blanket our nation and many of those attending them have no Christian/Bible background and are woefully amoral. The church should be teaching a Biblical Worldview on subjects that the world claims are off limits. Our kids are taught a confusing worldview in school, television and movies teach a selfish worldview and all of it is in opposition to what the Bible teaches. When the church is equipped knowing God’s plan for individual lives and for governments it can then influence who our leaders are and the laws that are passed. It is time for the pastors to get over fear of losing tithers and the fear of government. In this shut-down, the church has been forced to use technology to get the message out. We are not guaranteed this option for ever. Censorship has reared its ugly head in our nation. Please preachers teach us God’s Word, instill in us a love for God’s Word and a love for the freedoms we have in our country.

I would like to see the church get back to sermons from pastors who are not afraid of stepping on toes. The church has become seeker friendly, we need fire and brimstone, to reach those who need a Savior.

Would like to see the church allow Holy Spirit to have control and that the word would be preached and no more feel good gospel. That preachers would stop fearing the loss of people and revenue and that they would embrace the full gospel.

We need the level of faith that Jesus is looking for in us. Many times He said to the disciples “where is your faith?”

We need the courage the Lord told Joshua to have.
