President Biden announced creation of a new federal board to combat disinformation and the response seems very negative. Late this week state Attorneys General promised firm action if this plan moves forward.
From The Daily Wire. Virginia Republican Attorney General Jason Miyares sent a letter signed by 20 GOP attorneys general on Thursday to Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas threatening legal action against its ‘un-American’ Disinformation Governance Board.
The letter claims that the new board violates the constitutional freedoms that attorneys general are called to defend.
“As the chief legal officers of our respective States, we the undersigned Attorneys General are tasked not just with enforcing the laws, but with protecting the constitutional rights of all our citizens,” the GOP leaders wrote.
“Today we write you to insist that you immediately cease taking action that appears designed exclusively for the purpose of suppressing the exercise of constitutional rights,” they added.
The letter also condemned the chilling impact the board would have on the free speech rights of Americans. . . .
The Republican attorneys general concluded with a warning of legal action if the Disinformation Governance Board moves forward. . . .
In addition to Virginia, the other states represented in the letter include Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, and West Virginia. . . .
On Monday, the DHS announced in a press release that there has already been confusion about the new board that is leading to a new assessment of its work.
“There has been confusion about the working group, its role, and its activities. The reaction to this working group has prompted DHS to assess what steps we should take to build the trust needed for the Department to be effective in this space,” the DHS noted.

We need to really pray for these efforts to stop this. We were surprised by this clip where Biden’s proposed “minister of truth” talks about “Republicans and other disinformers.”

When you brand those who see things differently from you as liars, you leave no room for dialogue or debate. This is not information or disinformation management, it is the beginnings of an authoritarian state. From her comments, it is a short distance to discuss Christians and other misinformed as she proseletizes to those who worship at altar of groupthink to the god of wokeism. They may not recognize the fact they are worshipping Satan, but they absolutely are. He has seduced them with lies. I will pray for them and not fear them for my God, is a victorious God, the God of creation and the God of love. This board has absolutely nothing to do with mis or disinformation. It’s a reshape of what Hitler did with Joseph Goebbels – nothing different except the decade and the speed in which they can effectively control people or any form of communication. Another “lie” using taxpayers money to further more lies…. from the administration which stole an election through disinformation, fraud and multiple other forms of lies.

I would have never believed America would turn into a dictatorship the likes of which Biden (his keepers) are pushing forth…I pray people wake up to the tyranny and stop voting for Anti American politicians…If people understood how this could end they would re consider their decisions to follow blindly into destruction.

All these lawsuits! And the White House uses taxpayer money to fight them. We pay twice! But we THANK GOD for attorney generals standing against evil! We must fast and pray, but also to rise up in our authority as sons of the kingdom of light and declare to the forces of darkness trying to control our nation that we say, “NOT ON MY WATCH! I CUT AT THE ROOT THE EVIL IN MY COUNTRY IN THE NAME ABOVE ALL NAMES, THE MIGHTY NAME OF JESUS!” And keep saying that until all of Jesus’ enemies are footstools under His feet!

Thank You, Father God, our only help in time of need. Yet again we appeal to heaven for an unrighteous “slavery style” injustice. This goes against Your character and Your people are attempting to response righteously in a failing system we were taught to honor but can no longer. Teach us how to have proper authority to push back against tyranny just as our forefathers did. If possible Father God without bloodshed which we know now only fuels the enemy’s side of issues of all kinds to reduce us to robots. We appreciate You more for the complete freedom You entrust to us. Now we can see how You work to teach us to follow Your ways and we see the enemy hating You, Your ways and us, Your people. Grant favor to these attorney generals as they fight the good fight on our behalf. Bless them, their staff and families that they may be safe from physical, psychological and any other harm. I’m sick & tired of all these misleading terms…”misinformation”, “disinformation”, etc. All information should be categorized honestly as “TRUTH” or “LIES”. Let’s stop allowing the Lying Left from teaching demented, destructive lies to our children. Let’s stop the universities from greedily taking in government money (our tax dollars) and further indoctrinating our college kids with lies that will destroy their lives…they have already been taught not to question the lies, but to swallow whatever garbage their professors spoon feed them. yes, I agree – just call it what it is. In this “post-truth” era, who gets to decide truth? Fortunately, we have God’s living Word, eternal truth that does not change with the seasons or eras of man’s history, but remains constant and is the standard by which we are to measure everything. Currently “misinformation” is anything those in power don’t like or disagree with. Very concerning that a “board” would have the authority/power to decide what is truth and what isn’t. Seems like China to me (and other totalitarian regimes) where no diversity of thought is tolerated. Ironic those in power say they are all about diversity. What does reality say? We all need to look around us and know what we are experiencing is real, not what our TV news tells us is fact. They want to divide us, divide and conquer. Time for us to unite, repent, turn to God and love each other. Love overcomes the hatred they are sowing with CRT etc.. We are being deceived and controlled by a very small minority who control the media and the narrative. Our narrative is God’s narrative in each and every life He redeems, He is the answer to it all.
