Update, Monday, April 17, 2023: Today is the Boston Marathon, and the 10th anniversary of the tragic bombing there. This article tells the story of how longtime IFA intercessor Judy Ball received a vision from the Lord on the site of the bombing then shared that vision at The Return 3 years ago. IFA intercessor and Massachusetts state leader Suzie MacAskill heard Judy speak and pray that day and was profoundly impacted. Over the last few months, Suzie has sought the Lord intently about how to pray about the upcoming SatanCon in Boston (located near the finish line of the Boston Marathon). Suzie attended IFA’s recent Policy & Prayer in Washington, D.C. There she met Judy Ball! What Suzie didn’t know is that the Lord strongly impressed on Judy that she MUST attend this conference. Judy didn’t even know what the conference was about and her health makes travel and conference attendance difficult. The Lord wanted these two faithful prayer warriors to meet. Read on to find out why.
In just a few weeks, SatanCon, the largest satanic gathering in history, will take place in Boston, Massachusetts. The event brings with it a celebration of the 10th anniversary of the so-called Church of Satan’s Witches’ Night. We, as the people of God, need not fear any of this. Instead, we can find encouragement in a divine encounter that occurred some two and a half years ago, and which helped prepare one intercessor “for such a time as this.”

Suzie MacAskill is a state leader of IFA’s prayer team for Massachusetts, which she leads alongside her sister Lynne. In December, Suzie was asked to intercede and to seek a strategy for what the Lord would have her do concerning SatanCon. Suzie says she had expected to merely “pray away” the gathering. The Lord had other plans — and led her in a different direction.
Normally, when intercessors hear of satanic temples, witches, the occult, and things of that nature, we reflexively shift into warfare mode. But here, the Lord instead had Suzie doing prayer walks and small acts of obedience to share His love with people. This was a far cry from what she had anticipated.
Recently, IFA held its Prayer & Policy event hosting state prayer leaders, intercessors, and guest speakers. Suzie and her sister attended.
As people were introducing themselves, Suzie saw a woman she thought she recognized. Though she couldn’t remember where she might have seen the woman, she couldn’t shake a feeling of familiarity. Finally, she did remember having heard this woman pray a powerful prayer that had moved her deeply, nearly three years ago. Suzie searched her phone and found a screenshot she had taken in September 2020: It was indeed the same woman.
Blast From the Past
On Sept. 26, 2020, Messianic Christian leader Jonathan Cahn hosted The Return, a national and global day of prayer and repentance in Washington, D.C. Suzie contacted her outreach pastors, who agreed to permit a livestream. It was a twelve-hour event, for which Suzie was present most of the time. There were several speakers and worship leaders gathered that day. But it was this one woman, a seasoned intercessor leading a three-minute prayer, who made the biggest impression on Suzie. She took a screenshot of the woman praying, with her name, Judy Ball, included beneath.
Judy began her time of prayer by recalling the time she and a group of Ivy League students stood in the streets where the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing had taken place. “There’s blood in these streets,” she had said. “We are in a city of the living dead.” Judy then proceeded to pray from Isaiah 61, noting that Jesus has anointed us to set the captives free by the power of the Spirit and to bind up the brokenhearted.
“Those people in the streets aren’t just flesh and blood that can be trashed,” she said. “We heard Nicky Cruz say that someone found him with love.”
Judy concluded her prayer by reciting three of the simplest, yet most powerful words in our language: “Jesus loves you.” She exhorted the entire gathering to go and declare that single message to people.
Fast-forward nearly three years to this IFA Prayer & Policy event, when Suzie introduced herself to the intercessor whose brief prayer had touched her so deeply. This was an encounter that only God could orchestrate.
They shared lunch, and when Suzie brought up The Return, Judy confessed that she could not recall what she had prayed. Suzie sought the Lord, wondering why He had enabled her to meet Judy. What was He doing? Later that evening, Suzie rewatched The Return — and reviewed Judy’s prayer. She immediately connected what had transpired back then with the SatanCon event soon to take place now.
Bombings and Devil Meetings: No Match for Christ
Judy had prayed about standing in the streets where the Boston Marathon bombing occurred, in the exact location where SatanCon is being held. And Judy’s concluding exhortation at that time to go forth and tell people that Jesus loves them is the exact same strategy the Lord is showing the MacAskill sisters today: When that satanic gathering takes place, meet the people with love.
The Lord revealed to Suzie during her journaling time that Judy’s prayer had been a powerful marker in her life. That prayer had begun preparing her to realize her calling without her even being aware of it.
Then the Lord said: “The Satanic Temple believes this is all their planning, but they don’t realize what is about to unfold in Boston. When my Holy Spirit and glory fall upon the earth, as My light descends, that darkness will be blown away and explode out, and I will personally go around to open every prison cell and release the chains, and the captives will truly be free.”
Isn’t that beautiful? SatanCon is actually the culmination of the prayers of intercessors who have been praying for years! It isn’t the Satanic Temple that is drawing anyone anywhere: It is Almighty God, who has had it planned. His plan is to bring people here to be met with love — for the purpose of their becoming His harvest.
This is a divinely appointed time to reap the harvest. Thank You, Jesus!
If we are to be completely honest, we must confess that Christians have been less than loving to those with whom we disagree. This is where we as the Church have missed the mark. Too often, we call down the hot fires of judgment — as once did the zealous Sons of Thunder, James and John, who received a stern rebuke from the Lord Jesus for doing that:
But He turned and rebuked them, and said, “You do not know what manner of spirit you are of. For the Son of Man did not come to destroy men’s lives but to save them.” And they went to another village (Luke 9:55–56 NKJV).
I imagine the Church of Satan is fully expecting a fight and to get kicked out by the Christians. Imagine the impact it will have when they encounter the love of God from us instead.
Judy mentioned that it was the love of God that had once touched a young gang member in New York City named Nicky Cruz. And Nicky had once threatened to kill a preacher named David Wilkerson. After threatening to stab Wilkerson, Nicky heard him respond: “Yeah, you could do that. You could cut me up into a thousand pieces and lay them in the street, and every piece will still love you.”
In the end, Nicky broke down, wept, and surrendered his life to Jesus. He later became an evangelist and the director of Teen Challenge under Wilkerson’s ministry. Such is the power of the love of God!

Pray for protection over Suzie, Lynne, their families, and every intercessor who will have boots on the ground that day (Psalm 91; Psalm 34:7; Psalm 121:7–8).
Pray for the love of God to prevail at SatanCon (Luke 6:27–28; John 13:34–35; 1 John 4:7–8; 2 Peter 3:9).
Pray for lives to be transformed from darkness to light (Matthew 4:16; John 8:12; Acts 26:18).
Pray for eyes to be opened (2 Corinthians 4:4; Acts 9:1–5; 2 Corinthians 3:14–16).
Pray that every curse, hex, and incantation against Christians will be turned into a blessing (Numbers 23:8; Genesis 50:20; Isaiah 54:17).
Judy spoke prophetically when she saw “a city of the living dead,” but the Lord is giving us a prayer strategy to pray exactly the opposite. Let’s prophesy life and spiritual awakening over SatanCon and the state of Massachusetts, beginning in Boston.
“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly” (John 10:10).
Let’s pray into this harvest together:
Father, we exalt You. We glorify You. We bless Your holy name. We thank You that You are not willing that any should perish. You desire for all to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.
We lift up Suzie, Lynne, their families, and all intercessors. We ask for covering that the Enemy cannot withstand. We thank You for their obedience in showing love to those whom many deem unlovable.
We stand in the gap for SatanCon. We pray that every satanist, witch, or warlock, or any other person who shows up, would not leave in the same spiritual condition as when they arrived. You said that when we bless and do not curse our enemies, it is like heaping coals of fire on their heads. These people are not our enemies, Lord, because we do not wrestle against flesh and blood. We recognize who is really at work behind SatanCon. We pray that as Your love is being poured out on every soul, You would overwhelm them with that love.
We agree with every prayer that has been lifted up, not only over these past months, but even over the past several years. We desire that our intercession would be as incense before You. Let those whose minds have been blinded by Satan see the glorious light of Jesus Christ.
We declare this is an appointed time to see a great harvest. We pray Isaiah 60:1–2, which declares: “Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the Lord rises upon you and his glory appears over you.
Display Your glory Lord! In Jesus’ name. Amen.

I met Judy Ball several years ago in a private prayer meeting. The Holy Spirit gave me a word for her. The word was that he had taken her to the depths of hell to release the captives and he was not done with her yet. I truly believe she was indeed steeped into intercession for the captives. I talked to her briefly at the return and she was on another assignment. God bless her heart and health. May God continue to use us all according to the scripture above. These are souks being held captive. But let Yeshua captivate their hearts with his magnificent love 💕. He is able!

Dear Lord I pray for my native state, Massachusetts where I was born and raised. I choose life not death(Deut 30:19-20) for Boston and spreading from there throughout the state of Massachusetts and the USA.
In the Mighty Name of Jesus I decree and declare that all curses already spoken and spoken in the future in league with the satancon are null and void. Just like the curses Balak tried to get Balaam to speak over Israel.

Feel like I know Judy Ball, what prayer group or state might she be in? Could go rerun The Return (which day and hour!?). Regardless, am certainly also joining in prayer for love to abound in our hearts as we pray, so that a massive overflow pours over the conference planners and attendees. Wash away their brokenness, go to the core of their pain and wash it all away, Jesus Messiah. We love You and Your creation. Set free and save souls in Your name. Amen.

My beautiful daughter, Joy, informed me she is a member of the Satanic Temple. I have been interceding on her behalf ever since and will use these resources to pray over SatanCon as well. A few months ago, I was in prayer and I saw in the spirit a scroll unrolling. It had writing on it I couldn’t make out, and a signature appeared at the bottom. I asked the Lord what it was, and He said it was a decree commanding the enemy to release the captives. Yesterday as I was headed home from church, I ended up exiting the interstate behind a car that had a pentagram with a heart intertwined. I prayed they’d have a divine encounter with the love of God who is true love in action. Now, I see why God showed me the decree and that symbol. I thank you God Most High for allowing me to see these signs and the vision. I come into agreement and intercede for those who are willing but unknowingly trapped in satanic worship. May You disorient the enemy and create divine, undeniable encounters that will forever change the trajectory of theirs lives for Your glory and honor! I pray that no weapon formed against your people will prosper, I pray that You will be a shield and a wall about all Your people. I pray blessings and honor be conferred on Your obedient ones. I pray that Your love will emanate from all they do, and that even their breath will carry a heavenly aroma that entices people out of darkness. I pray an evangelical anointing over Your people, that You will freely grant them words of knowledge divinely crafted to draw souls out of darkness to them as they encounter these souls. But most of all, I pray Your glory and Your renown fills the earth like Your train fills the temple.

In prayer I saw a long reception/red carpet entrance to the convention. Those most heinously dressed were the most vulnerable and in need of being convinced that this was their way to freedom. As they walked in, the carpet disappeared and there was a great cliff not seen from the street. Two angels resembling those who remain at the entrance of Eden with flaming swords stood ready and encountered each who was about to drop off. In that moment many realized they had been led astray and tried to turn back. It was not clear to me how the rescuing would take place but God’s magnificent power and glory would be displayed in the midst of the confusion. The power of Elohim will be displayed!
How awesome to be able to see things through a different window!!! I can now see this satanic gathering as an awesome opportunity to share the love of Christ to a lost multitude! Thank you Jesus!!!

Love Warfare is how Jesus lived. Afterall, God is love. Love conquers all and His light will pierce through the darkness at SatanCon. Like the old song says: “What the world needs now is love, sweet love. No not just for some but for everyone.” Think about how amazing the world would be, if we all truly loved God, others, and self.
Lord, I thank you for your perfect love that casts out fear. You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of love, power, and a sound mind. I ask you to activate your perfect love that conquers all, in us, and every person, that has been deceived at SatanCon. Give each one the deliverance and healing they need to be able to accept your love. He, that the Son sets free, is free indeed, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. I bind the deception and lies of the enemy, and I loose the truth that will set captives free. Help them to believe and receive, that you love them, in Jesus’ name. Salvation, Deliverance, Healing, and Transformation come in the Mighty Name of Jesus. Let not one perish. I declare they will live and not die, to declare the works of God.
Lord, thank you for Suzie, Lynne, their families, and intercessors for their faithfulness to love others as you have loved them. Cover them with your blood and give your angels charge over them in Jesus’ name, Amen.

We are to fear not, for greater is He who is in us than he that is in the world! Satan is a defeated foe, he is under the feet of all born-again believers. Love and light overcome the darkness. The reference to the Boston Marathon bombing linked to SatanCon reminds me of the witchcraft trials centuries ago. Today we only hear of the injustices, but it is my understanding that there was horrific Satanic evil that prompted the trials. Has anyone investigated what may have happened on this site centuries or maybe even millennia ago? Dear Lord, give wisdom and revelation as needed to prevail against these gates of hell and release the captives. Amen

Last year in our town of Belen, (Bethlehem). 3 of us Intercessors got together and prayed diligently up and down the street where the gay parade was to take place. We wrote on the sidewalks scripture, words of encouragement. The parade never took place. A few gathered but not enough for a parade. Prayer walks are very important. We have been praying about Satancon for several months, 3 times a week when we meet for Intercessory prayer. After reading this article, we will continue to pray that many will join our sisters and pray for the salvation of those lost souls. Nothing is impossible for God!

This way to think, pray and act resonates with my spirit as so much better than simply praying them out. Let the enemy, every demon spirit which will attempt to be present, be held back by the warring Holy Angels, in the Heavenlies, and let the Holy Spirit pour forth upon these people. May they come to know the love of Jesus, who shed His blood for them and learn the true love of their Heavenly Father, Who sent Jesus, allowing them to be gathered into His eternal family. In Plattsburgh, NY just before Halloween 2022 their was the first ever event called – The Dark Waters Paranormal Convention debuted over the weekend, celebrating the North Country’s haunted history and the mysteries of Lake Champlain. The three-day, multi-venue Paranormal Convention – or ParaCon – was filled with haunted stops, witch craft experts, and vendors, just in time for Halloween, palm readings, mystical paraphernalia, tattoo experts, books on how to do curses, etc. The co-founders of ParaCon, Frankie Fronk and Shelby Klemann, say the name has significant meaning. (Neither are locals)
Our churches in this area are shrinking but those believers who are here began praying about this invasion
of our community. While praying and seeking God for his plan I heard “Jericho”.
Immediately I told a friend and asked her what she thought. To me it meant we walk around all three locations of this event for 7 days and on the 7th days we walk 7 times around each. We did this a week before the event. We anointed the doorways of the buildings and sang Praise songs. I asked her to seek God for themes for each day while I would seek verses for each day. We would read the verses, pray first on the theme and proclaim this territory for Jesus Christ.
God showed his pleasure with this plan immediately every single theme she selected match perfectly with the scripture I was given on that given day.
Final report is The Dark Waters Paranormal event was a flop. Vendors packed up and left on the second day.
It seems God had other plans to call people his people to take the authority he has given them and claim Plattsburgh for His Glory. This is a dark area for sure but some of us are not giving up that easy. Many are bringing the Light of Jesus to the North Country. Love covers a multitude of sin.
The developers of the event plan on a return this fall. Well Holy Spirit never left so come on down we will bless your socks off with the Love of Jesus.

I love this! It reminds me of when I lived in a small town up north in June of 2012. I would walk around the town every afternoon, declaring peace and love, healing, joy and whatever else came to mind. One of these day, I was passing by the Masonic Lodge and I thought, wow, years ago I would be in “warfare mode” and want to pray against this in some way. I laughed and asked the Lord to Bless them, Bless them, and Bless them, and when he was all done blessing them, to bless them some more! Well, I returned home and about an hour or two later, heard fire engines. We went out to see what was going on, and lo and behold the Masonic Lodge was burning to the ground! Then that night, I had a dream. I was with the leaders of a church in Fortuna, CA. We were on some kind of boat or ship or something and there was this incredibly evil, demonic, looking, eyes bulging in his head, filled with rage, hate, and anger. I knew I had to go to him. I was “drunk” (think Acts) with the Holy Spirit laughing and fearless. I went towards the man with a big smile and my arms outstretched saying The Lord loves you sooooo much, He just wants to wrap his arms of love around you! I guess I was talking in my sleep a bit and woke up. Oh, and the guy was holding Masonic implements in his hands. So yes! The Lord’s love is so powerful and wonderful!

This is amazing. My sermon Scripture text for this Sunday is Isaiah 60:1-2. I read this story early in the morning and realized God is leading me to emphasize his love for the lost world through us. I love the reminder to bring the love of God over any hate those walking in darkness expect. The truth is, we do tend to stay away from these events. We will pray from a distance. But, what if Jesus is really calling the church to become visible to actually show His love, and speak a simple statement “Jesus Loves You?” May He be glorified in all we do under His Holy name.

I was puzzled by Suzie ‘s story as I live in Nashville, Tn. where we have just experienced a horrific school shooting.If our police dept had not been trained and had not rushed in to get the shooter we feel many other children would have been murdered. How do Suzie and Judy know that the Satan worshippers will be civil? Susan, we, as Intercessors, have a specific assignment regarding this upcoming event. The Police Dept. has a different assignment, which is to see that the laws are upheld, to guard the safety of the people, and assist those who need help, among many other things. We do what we are called to do and they take care of those who may want to break the law. Don’t be troubled. Our weapons are spiritual. Our God is mighty to save. The weapons of our warfare are not carnal but are mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds!!! 2 Corinthians 10:2-5
Jesus did say, “Don’t fear those who can kill the body, but those who can destroy the Spirit.”
Seems the Apostles preached at the threat of death on every side. Paul was always in danger of arrest, death, prison. Have to conclude risks involved when doing the work of God’s Kingdom.

I heard someone say, at some point David had to act to pick up a rock and slay Goliath. My question is about self defense. Are we as Christians supposed to be submissive to evil? Letting whatever evil person do whatever to whoever with zero reaction from us or do we protect our families by using, let’s say due to our new less free speech in a less free country of less free citizens, spicy means of self defense? Sounds suicidal and I thought that wasn’t an acceptable outcome? Fight evil or just watch it morph into what we’re seeing at this very moment? Can you explain all the conflicts our Christians have historically been involved in? Would their acts be acceptable or did it damn them to protect themselves? Serious question about a serious situation. I’m not asking to promote anything but I would like to know what is acceptable for Christians and self defense. These evil promoters are either making biblical signs happen or they’re happening on their own with barely any resistance even when our children are attacked. So just watch it all or do we pick up the rock and sling it? I need to know because I’m a willing Christian ready to defend ours but if God doesn’t want that then I need to know if I should get rid of my defenses and commit suicide by letting them do whatever to me and mine. 👍🏽You are so right. However, Missionaries going into enemy territory are different than defending our homes. Missionaries are prepared to face dire circumstances to spread the Gospel. When(if) evil comes into your territory, I pray you live in a state that protects the rights of people to defend themselves! God definitely expects us to protect ourselves and our families! What we can do for the missionaries is pray!🙏🏼
I feel very much down spiraling of America on so many fronts, and get what you are saying. Very valid questions. I am a simple person, so I go back to what Jesus said, “Love one another”, “Love your enemy”. “Pray for your enemy.” Jesus went back into the Temple and to Jerusalem time and time again to preach the Gospel despite how much His life was endangered. I don’t consider myself a particularly brave person, but I try to use Jesus’ words and his actions as my guide. Triune God wants all saved is something I try to keep at forefront of my comings and goings. Peace of the Lord.

Father God I come once again father asking for many requests concerning the Satanic gathering that is to take place in Boston Massachusetts between the 28 – 30 of this month! Lord we are asking for a victory in you over this madness that is sweeping our nation in ways that is scary and evil at the same time! I pray over those that you have called to make a stand on those assigned days to bravely and boldly speak out on that organization in hopes of helping those that are blinded to the reality of who truly is the True God of this world before it’s everlasting to late for their souls! Telling people Jesus loves them is such a powerful statement and something the Lord has been teaching me , along with praying more and praying His word. Praying for that soul harvest in Boston .
