As Brazil reels from violent attacks on its government institutions, we should pray for peace and unity.
From Fox News. Former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro offered subdued criticism of his supporters who ransacked the Brazilian Capitol, Presidential Palace and Supreme Court on Sunday.

Bolsonaro compared the attack to left-wing riots that occurred across Brazil in 2013 and 2017, saying any such protests were outside the law. Sunday’s attack saw thousands of pro-Bolsonaro rioters wearing Brazil’s green and yellow colors smash windows and loot the seat of their nation’s government.
“Peaceful demonstrations, within the law, are part of democracy. However, vandalism and the invasion of public buildings like today’s acts, and like those practiced by the left in 2013 and 2017, are an exception,” Bolsonaro wrote in a statement, according to The Wall Street Journal.
Bolsonaro … denied any role in inciting the violence. …
Meanwhile, President Lula has vowed consequences for the rioters. He stated that there was “no precedent in the history of our country” for the attack on the capital, deriding the riots as “acts of vandals and fascists.” …

Father God the people of Brazil are under oppression because of the corruption of their leadership and Father may you extend your mercy and grace to the Brazilian people and restore their government leadership with people who will serve you and the people and bring back peace and unity in the name of Jesus… Amen
I can understand these people’s frustration but their methods play into the hands of their opponents and make it more difficult to get their objectives! Peaceful protests are much more effective!
Praying for God’s peace over these people and for them to let God restore what needed for them!!

I believe that this is more complicated than the article implies. What are these 1000’s of rioters rioting for?
I heard that Lula stole the election from Bolsonaro. If that is true, they may feel desperate to get a more just government back. In any case, I will pray for justice and God’s will to be done.
