Under Taliban rule, Afghanistan has become one of very few nations where more women than men commit suicide.

From American Wire. Suicides by women in Afghanistan are skyrocketing according to a new report that has come out a year after President Biden catastrophically pulled US forces from the country handing it over to the Taliban.

The despair of Afghanistan women suffering under the deadly oppression of the Taliban is palpable to all women. …

One young woman was kept from becoming a doctor and then was forced into a marriage with her cousin who was a heroin addict. She felt she had nothing left to live for and proceeded to take her own life in a country where more women than men commit suicide. …

She is far from alone as the Taliban cracks down harder and harder on women by the day. Since they came to power in 2021, data from public hospitals and mental health clinics across a third of Afghanistan’s provinces shows a massive surge in female suicides.

The Guardian reported, “Taliban authorities have not published data on suicides and have barred health workers from sharing up-to-date statistics in multiple provinces, medics say. Health workers agreed to privately share figures for the year from August 2021 to August 2022 to highlight an urgent public health crisis. The data suggests Afghanistan has become one of the very few countries worldwide where more women than men die by suicide.” …

Women are barred from getting an education above the elementary level, from most work, and from entering bars, parks, bathhouses, or other public spaces, including restaurants.

“Afghanistan is in the midst of a mental health crisis precipitated by a women’s rights crisis,” Alison Davidian, the country representative for UN Women, commented. …

Women are thought to make up more than three-quarters of recorded suicide deaths and treated survivors in Afghanistan. It’s hard to tell exactly how many die from suicide because it is considered shameful in the country and is covered up by families and by the Taliban. Those who kill themselves many times are buried in unmarked graves. Those who survive an attempt typically are not allowed treatment according to the Guardian. …

Father, in their distress cause these women to cry out to You;
yes, may they pray to You, God, for help.
Hear them from Your sanctuary;
may their cry reach Your ears.
Lord, open the heavens and come down;
thunder from heaven;
may the Most High’s voice resound.
Reach down from heaven and rescue these women;
draw them out of deep waters.
Rescue them from their powerful enemies,
from those who hate them and are too strong for them.
Lord, support these women;
lead them to a place of safety.
God of salvation, may You be exalted!

1. Only Jesus, the light of the world, can break through the darkness in that land.
2. There but for the grace of God, I was born in a land where women are treated as human.
3. The males there do not seem to realize that they did nothing good to deserve to be treated better just because they were born male and the women did nothing evil to deserve to be treated badly just because they were born female.
4. We need to watchful so we do not bring males into this country with these misogynistic ideas.

Genesis 16, Hagar and Ismael (God Hears) https://biblehub.com/genesis/16.htm
V13…“You are the God who sees me,” for she said, “Here I have seen the One who sees me!”

Dear Abba Father, You are God of Issac and Ishmael. Your Word says Hagar suffered harsh treatment from Sarai and when she ran away, You sent an angel to confront her. She was told to return in submission, to her authority and that You had heard her cry of misery. After You told her many things, she called You the ONE WHO SEES, El Roi. ALL that You told Hagar came to be. I am praying a personal encounter for all the women who are suffering from persecution and abuse. Not only Afghanistan but in all countries Father. Give them dreams, instructions, encouragement…anything they need to know You are their God Who Sees them. I ask this and so much more, in the Name of Yasū‘u l-Masīḥ, Yeshua HaMashiach, Jesus Christ, The Messiah.

Father Go, in Jesus’ Name, I beseech You to help Afghan women and all Muslim women who suffer this kind of abuse. I agree with R in her prayer for them. Father, You are in control of all things across this planet, please have mercy on these women, again, in Jesus’ precious Name.

Afghanistan women are also routinely raped, beaten, and treated as slaves, along with many muslim women all over the world! This is a human rights crisis that has always gone on, only today it is more known because of communication! FATHER GOD I bind satan and demons away from these women and girls in Afghanistan and all muslim countries. FATHER GOD, Please send YOUR angels to surround and protect all of the women and girls across the world from persecution and abuse and murder. Protect them from suicide. Please send laborers to them and I claim them all for salvation in JESUS NAME! Amen!
