Economic experts say we could be on the verge of a recession…now is the time to pray.
From CNBC. Members of the Federal Reserve are debating how quickly to reduce the central bank’s portfolio of bonds, without starting a recession.
Heading into the second quarter of 2022, the balance of Federal Reserve’s assets is almost $9 trillion. The majority of these assets are securitized holdings of government debt and mortgages. Most were purchased to calm investors during the subprime mortgage crisis in 2008 and 2020′s pandemic.
“What’s happened is the balance sheet has become more of a tool of policy.” Roger Ferguson, former vice chairman of the Federal Reserve Board of Governors, told CNBC. “The Federal Reserve is using its balance sheet to drive better outcomes in history….”
Analysts believe that the Fed’s choice to raise interest rates in 2022 then quickly reduce the balance sheet could set off a recession as riskier assets are repriced.

I pray that the Lord would use this as an opportunity for us to learn. We remember that the Sun shines on both the Good and evil. Therefore, we know that the decisions of those who deny God do affect the rest of us. I pray that should God decide to use this to teach us a lesson, then let it be so. If he decides that we should prosper financially we will. If he decides that we should go into a recession, let it be so. His will his way always. May his name be praised.

Lord, I pray that You would sweep this country with Your Holy Spirit. The Christian work ethic is missing. Many businesses are crying out for laborers. Jesus, people are happier when they work. And it is better not to allow hands to be idle. Lord Jesus, put us back to work. Use the higher prices to drive us to work for our living. Forgive us our sins. Have mercy on the poor and needy. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
When dealing with money problems that no one (hardly understands), the first part would be to pray that fully HONEST Christian people would have the positions for these tasks.
I was an accountant before I was called to the ministry, and
believe me, books can easily be cheated. And these large and
complicated tasks need qualified and very honest people.
