The U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that schools can refuse to allow parents to opt students out of LGBT-themed lessons. The court’s ruling demonstrates how far America is from our founding principles and understanding of truth. The court created a new standard with its ruling, which we must pray will be overruled.
From The Epoch Times. A federal appeals court in Richmond on Wednesday rejected efforts by a group of Maryland parents to allow their elementary school children to opt out of lessons involving LGBT-themed books.
Who is praying on the wall?
In its ruling, the 2-1 panel of the Virginia-based 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals found that the parents had failed to demonstrate how the Montgomery County Board of Education’s book policy would infringe anyone’s rights to freely exercise religion.
“There’s no evidence at present that the board’s decision not to permit opt-outs compels the parents or their children to change their religious beliefs or conduct, either at school or elsewhere,” U.S. Circuit Judge Steven Agee, who was appointed under President George W. Bush, wrote in the majority opinion. …
Wednesday’s ruling affirmed a lower court decision issued by U.S. District Judge Deborah Boardman denying a preliminary injunction on the matter in August last year.
Both rulings came after parents of multiple faiths—including Muslim, Jewish, and Christian—filed a lawsuit against the Montgomery County Board of Education in May 2023 arguing that its refusal to provide notice and an opportunity to opt-out from their children’s exposure to certain books and related discussions violates federal and state law. …
Books ‘Contradict Sincerely Held Religious Beliefs’
Books in the series included “Pride Puppy!” by Robin Stevenson about a dog who gets lost during a pride parade, and “Born Ready: The True Story of a Boy Named Penelope,” by Jodie Patterson about her transgender son’s experience.
While the school board initially gave parents the chance to opt their children out of being exposed to the books, beginning with the current school year, it scrapped the opt-out option.
The parents, along with parents’ rights organization Kids First, subsequently argued in court that they should be able to opt their children out of the discussion of books with “lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer characters” because the books’ messages “contradict their sincerely held religious beliefs about marriage, human sexuality, and gender.”
The families of diverse faiths further claimed that the no-opt-out policy violates their and their children’s free exercise and free speech rights under the First Amendment, the parents’ substantive due process rights under the Fourteenth Amendment, and Maryland law. …

Since the courts refuse to recognize God’s laws then parents need to vote out those school board members who are promoting satan’s evil ways. That takes time so withdraw your children from those ungodly schools and get them enrolled in a Godly school. If that isn’t feasible then put in overtime with your children teaching them about God’s ways. Most importantly pray pray and pray that God help you to perservere and that He take care of the problem. Amen. 🙏😇🙏
Heavenly Father, may the folly and stupidity of sin and wickedness with its certain wages and consequences begin to dawn upon all Americans – conservative, liberal, leftists, etc. Open the eyes of those whose minds are blind to its reality! And may the awful judgement you pronounced upon sin from the Cross be recognized and bring repentance to those you are saving. In Jesus’ holy and mighty name. Amen
God loves all nations, tribes, tongues; all people. As Christians, we too are called to love. This does not mean we approve of what the Bible teaches as sin, or allow others to influence our children or grandchildren in lifestyles or systems that appose our biblical values.
People have their individual rights to live and die as they individually choose. However not the right to attempt or indoctrinate others.
Father, raise up school board members who will stand for parents’ rights, constitutionally given, to be able to protect their children from these awful books. May we as a culture support parents’ rights and stand with them!
The teachers’ unions have to “shape up or be shipped out”. Keep that lgbtq garbage out of the schools. Ronald Reagan demonstrated how do deal with renegade unions in his first administration. Mr. Trump needs to do likewise next year.
Simple: Take you children out of these corrupt public schools! Home School and join a local group of Home Schoolers who have the same values of God, Family, Country and Morals! The trend is to take tax money to support other education opportunities. The tax law should be that if you Home School your children you pay zero local and state taxes that go to public education.
Lord let your word be true. Do so unto those who dare put a stumbling block before your little ones as your word declares. Save your little ones from the devourer. Be glorified in the little ones, be glorified in the victory. We put the schools and children into your hands and ask that you defend and protect them from evil. Replace the evil doers with those who will uphold your statutes. Take away their prosperity, prestige, influence and power, then give it to those worthy to watch over your children. I ask you to watch over your word to perform it, all in the precious name of Jesus AMEN
It is to our dismay that our judicial system has crossed the line about our religious freedom and our rights as parents. As we are battling this spiritual dilemma, let us all stand in prayer asking Yeshua and the Ruach HaKodesh to fight this battle – Greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world.
I pray that our elected officials remember our Constitution and NOT allow their thoughts to distort what our Constitution stands for and represents – Freedom!

Renegade judges at any level need to face judicial ethics committees, looking for removal from the bench and/or being disbarred. Affected citizens need to learn how to file effective ethics complaints since the judicial system refuses to discipline their own.
Father, thank you for your power and might being displayed in mothers and fathers all over the world; their eyes being opened to the evils of transgender madness, the corruption of innocent children within the school systems, the lawlessness associated with woke systems and hidden agendas within our government. May the strong arm of our God move those deceivers within school districts and government agencies out of their places of influence and power, all over the country, and replace each position with elected school board members who know truth from your Bible, and are unafraid to uphold Your ways and stand against evil at every level of education. Bless each family who chooses to home school children and teach their children the “fear of the Lord, the Love of Jesus, and the values set forth in the Bible. Pull your kids out of public school and homeschool them.., also vote in school board elections… sadly., most registered voters don’t take the time to vote

This school board is disgraceful and the people should vote them OUT! They are not helping the children, to a better way, they are destroying and confusing their young minds. May God deal with them. Shame on this school district!!!

Oh Lord God, these education systems are so busted up and broken with the education boards forcing indoctrination of evil to the minds of young Americans! It’s been going on for years and unfortunately we know it’s getting worse. Stand for biblical truth and fight against the demonic forces 💪!
I sat on a curriculum committee years ago, worked so hard to stop ‘opt out’ to make it ‘opt in’, so that parents would have to give permission for the child to attend such classes. We failed.
Lord I pray that the Democrat Party and its constituents repent from their evil platform, evil policies, and their Anti-God agenda. In Jesus’ name I ask this and with a penitent heart, Amen.
Father God help parents protect their children against the evil of this world. Show them what they can do to make a difference.
Heavenly Father, empower Christian parents with boldness and perseverance to continue to be voices for their children when our school systems challenge them and push back on them with things contrary to Your Word. Unite them together to speak truth and take action to protect their children from the arrows of the enemy. Father, You see the evil that is intended through these decisions. Use this for Your glory. Put a hedge of protection around the students. Give them discernment and wisdom to know when to walk away from such evil. Thank you for watching over our children. Encourage their hearts, renew their minds, and help them to build a strong Christian support group around them. In the name of Jesus Christ our Savior I pray. Amen
Time to start homeschooling our kids. It’s possible, people. Good curricula are out there. Parents have formed pods of about 5 parents each, and each set of parents takes turns staying home (at least one parent) for one day at week to be the host. There are other options, too, that parents can cooperatively use if your state demands one parent at home every day for one group of siblings. So far, the pods work and provide socialization as well at efficiency for parents.
As long as homeschooling is available, and the state does not try to seize our children to indoctrinate them, the option of homeschooling is the best protest against the system and the best way of raising our kids.
Also, mini retired teachers are happy to work with homeschoolers to do parts of curriculum that parents don’t feel comfortable doing (science experiments or just regular subjects in which the parent doesn’t feel proficient.

So,the courtsl can ban prayer in schools and at the same time force students to be taught that their religious beliefs are wrong. That’s not separation of church and state. That’s a blatant attack on one’s faith and must be stopped!
Father help parents who are trying to raise their children up in the way they should go and help us stop this insanity being pushed upon us by the devil and his adversaries. You are a God of order and judgment. Judge those who are enacting these satanic laws and return order and sense to America. Heavenly Father, please inspire men and women of faith to run for their local school boards. We need them to stop what the schools are trying to do to our children that goes counter to what you tell us in your Word.
