On Wednesday, the FBI searched the Fulton County Election Hub and Operation Center. This comes over five years after the probe into Georgia’s highly controversial and polarizing 2020 election began.

“The FBI is conducting court-authorized law enforcement activity. No other information is available at this time,” the FBI told Just the News. A separate, high-level official confirmed to Just the News that the FBI search was in connection to a criminal probe linked to the 2020 election.

The FBI told Fox News that FBI Atlanta was executing a “court-authorized law enforcement action at 5600 [Campbellton] Fairburn Rd.”

“Our investigation into this matter is ongoing, so there are no details that we can provide at the moment,” the FBI added.

Fulton County reportedly filed a motion to dismiss earlier this month. The DOJ responded, however, on January 20, eventually gaining the ability to search for “a number of records related to 2020 elections.”

As Just the News notes, this search follows Fulton County’s admission last month that tabulator tapes were not signed properly after the 2020 election. These tabulator tapes are essentially receipts printed from voting machines designed to verify that the number of voters matches the number of voters. According to Just the News, about “130 of the unsigned tapes from voting machines accounted for 315,000 early voters in 2020, which is almost every ballot cast before Election Day.”

President Trump has claimed since 2020 that the presidential election was stolen, vowing recently that “people will soon be prosecuted” over it. It is worth noting that Biden won Georgia in 2020 by 11,779 votes, far less than the 315,000 called into question by the aforementioned unsigned tapes.
