Tech entrepreneur Elon Musk is not a religiously inclined person. But in a recent interview with the popular Christian satire site The Babylon Bee, the Tesla CEO shared his thoughts about Jesus.
The famous billionaire who founded SpaceX in 2002 made an appearance on The Babylon Bee’s podcast last month…
For the final question of the podcast, [Ethan] Nicolle (Creative Director) asked Musk if he would accept Jesus Christ as his “personal Lord and Savior.”
“Final question to pull some time out here, Babylon Bee is a Christian organization and we’re a ministry,” said the host.
Musk then interjected: “How come we’re doing the show on a Sunday? Why aren’t you heathens in church? God said don’t work on Sundays, OK. You guys are going straight to Hell for this one.”
Nicolle continued: “To make this Church, we’re wondering if you could do us a quick solid and accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior?”
Musk said that he respects and agrees with “the principles that Jesus advocated,” such as forgiveness and “treating people as you wish to be treated.”
“Things like turn the other cheek are very important, as opposed to an eye for an eye. An eye for an eye leaves everyone blind,” Musk maintained…
“But hey, if Jesus is saving people, I mean, I won’t stand in His way. Sure, I’ll be saved. Why not?” Musk stated.
“I think he just said yes,” Nicolle declared. “We got him.”
Musk, who was born in South Africa, also said he was baptized as a child and partook in communion.
In past remarks about his Space X project after the Dragon Capsule completed a splash landing in the Gulf of Mexico in 2020, the chief engineer and CEO of SpaceX revealed that he prayed.
“I’m not very religious, but I prayed for this one,” Musk said at one point during his speech.

Abba Father, the heavens declare Your Glory. Day after day and night after night they reveal Your knowledge. Elon Musk knows this in his mind but I ask that You transfuse this to his inner man. I pray Your trustworthy testimony would make this learned man simple. He jokingly said if Jesus is saving people…I’ll be saved, why not? You are a consuming fire and I humbly appeal for Your fire to devour all of his unbelief Heavenly Father! I pray He will confess Jesus is Lord and believe You raised Him from the dead. I pray in the Name of Jesus Christ, Elon Musk will be saved. I included this nation and all the nations of the world in this prayer, Your mercy is limitless. Amen
