On Tuesday, voters across the nation made their voices heard in several key off-year elections. And by the time the sun rose on Wednesday, the results were in: Democrats and radical progressives won where it counted.
Let the IFA community know how to pray for you.
Last Saturday, we compiled a list of the most important elections that needed your prayers. Here are the results of those elections.
New York City
Radical Islamist and Socialist candidate Zohran Mamdani was elected mayor of New York City, defeating both former Governor Andrew Cuomo and Republican candidate Curtis Sliwa.
AP notes that Mamdani will become the city’s first Muslim mayor, as well as its first mayor born in Africa.
IFA has previously warned about Mamdani’s radical ideals. New York City has long been a progressive bastion in the nation, but it is likely about to reach a new depth of radical leftism.
Virginia
Though Republican Lieutenant Governor Winsome Earle-Sears ran an inspiring race, she was not able to keep her state from flipping. Democratic Representative Abigail Spanberger won Virginia’s gubernatorial election, setting her up to become the state’s first female governor.
In a more shocking turn of events, former state Delegate Jay Jones defeated incumbent candidate Jason Miyares and was elected attorney general of Virginia.
Jones faced rampant criticism throughout his campaign over violent text messages sent in 2022. In these texts, the soon-to-be Attorney General expressed a desire to see a Republican colleague’s children die, accusing that colleague and his wife of “breeding little fascists.”
At a time when political violence is surging, Jones’ victory is a sobering sign for our nation.
New Jersey
Democratic Representative Mikie Sherrill won the New Jersey governor race, defeating Republican candidate Jack Ciattarelli. Though the race may have seemed close over the weekend, NBC News on Wednesday showed a 13-point difference between the Governor-elect and her opponent.
Pennsylvania
In Pennsylvania, Supreme Court Justices Kevin Dougherty, Christine Donohue, and David Wecht all saw their terms on the high court extended. The three justices will now serve for an additional ten years.
On Saturday, we reported that this election could have drastic implications on future races, as Pennsylvania is one of the nation’s key swing states. As the midterms draw closer, let’s pray for Pennsylvania and its Supreme Court justices.
California
Of all the ballot measures being voted on, California’s Proposition 50 was perhaps the most important. The proposition passed, meaning California will use a new congressional map from 2026 to 2030.
Proposition 50 was a redistricting scheme designed to net Democrats extra House seats in next year’s midterms. Now that the proposition has passed, Democrats are poised to gain an extra 5 seats in the lower chamber. Governor Newsom celebrated the victory, calling on other blue states to take similar actions.
Conclusion
Though the election results are not what many Christians prayed for, they are what the Lord gave us. These results may be discouraging, but we have to remain steadfast in prayer!
Let’s pray for our new leaders in Virginia, New Jersey, and New York City. Let’s pray for Pennsylvania and it’s Supreme Court. Let’s pray for California and other blue states eyeing redistricting strategies. Above all else, let’s pray that God’s plans for our nation would not be stopped, and let’s pray for him to turn these results around in the midterms!

The Bible is the word of God, God does not change. But Jesus loves His children, and always gives them future insight, to give them wisdom. So CHRISTIANS NEED TO BE PRAYING DAY AND NIGHT, NIGHT AND DAY, BECAUSE THE BIBLE IS WARNING US of the Future. May our leaders read the whole book of Revelation, to get wisdom from Jesus and REPENT. Amen
Our Heavenly Father. These election results are NOT what I expected.
This is an example of what happens when Christians do not vote and do
not pray. Lets be more diligent about the midterm elections in 2026.
We need to have Rallies and Charlie Kirk type prayer vigils and TPUSA
Revivals. This can’t happen again or we are going to loose Our Country
to Communism, Socialism and Marxism. Also people who are Muslims will
try and promote Islam in all of our Schools, Churches and School Boards.
Lord please protect our Judeo-Christian beliefs and way of life and let us
have Law an Order and a Biblically based Society. In Jesus Name. Amen….
I didn’t see a lot of prayer going into this latest elections? We must continue to pray for NY and the gubernatorial race in 26. If we don’t intercede the socialist and Muslim agenda will prevail!
No one in Congress should be paid during the shutdown. Even then, they have FAT bank accounts to feed off of while we suffer.
Heavenly Father, I confess that these outcomes appear to present a turning away from You. You however, have reminded me that light overcomes darkness. In Your word are the following scriptures to back this up: Gen 1:2-3, Psalm 27-1, Isaiah 9:2, John 8:12, Matthew 5:14, Eph 5:8-9, Rev 22:5 and John 1:4-5 “In Him was life, and that life was the light of men. The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it”. Thank You LORD for Your words of assurance that do not and cannot fail. Protect us from the evil one and lead us in the paths of righteousness for Your name sake. In Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.

Lord God, We pray for the cities and states that held elections this week. We pray that the new leaders will hear from You, and guide them with wisdom, discernment, and integrity. The recent election results showed that Democrats and radical progressives won big in Virginia, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and California. Take an example of New York City, the radical Communists like Zohran Mamdani who just won Mayor election. He will definitely push his Radical Commie Agenda harder to make the “Big Apple ROT”! Just like President Trump said that “We cannot let a poisonous communism spread across our country. We cannot let any more evil people like Zohran Mamdani rise to power in our country”. America is protected by freedom, democracy, and justice. Radical socialism or communism cannot take root here, for our laws, values, and economy, honor liberty and private ownership. Again! This might be an opportunity for President Trump to continue draining the swamp, eliminating the Deep State and globalists. God, Shield the cities from chaos, division, or policies that contradict Your divine plan. Protect the cities from extremes that could harm its citizens, its economy, and its spiritual health. May every decision and policy align with Your truth, justice, and righteousness. We pray this in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen
You seem to be a lovely person and it makes me sad to tell you that while Donald Trump has done some good things like securing our borders and getting Europe to increase military spending, he is certainly not draining the swamp. You must know about the $400 million Qatar jet that he accepted? I am going to guess that you have probably not heard of the golf coarse that the Trump family is building in partnership with the Qatar government in Qatar ? You probably have also not heard that on September 29 Trump issued an executive order to our military to defend Qatar? Since the Trump family is making financial deals with Qatar and Trump has accepted gifts from them, there is no way that anyone can be certain that his decision to have our military defend Qatar is not compromised.
Why is it wrong for Hunter Biden to be in business with China while his father is vice president but it is not questionable for the Trump family to be making financial deals with other countries while Trump is president?
You must know that as president he is in charge of regulations but it has probably not occurred to you that his responsibilities include cryptocurrency which means that it is unethical for the Trump family to be involved in cryptocurrency while he is president?
I just mention a few of Trump’s questionable deals.
Donald Trump is a mixed bag. You need to be praying for him. We are not to be ostriches with our heads in the sand thinking that if we don’t see something, it doesn’t exist and no one else sees it.

First of all, President Trump is not our Savior, and can hardly be held to the standard of “perfect” especially when that definition for an elected official varies from person to person.
Quatar gave a gift to the United States, not a personal gift to Donald J. Trump. Gifts are exchanged at that level pretty often, I think.
Hunter Biden rode free on Air Force One, No doubt you have heard Michelle Obama complain on her podcast that she had to pay for her children to fly. Joe Biden was part of and separate at all from Hunter’s business affairs. How could he be, since Hunters business was selling access to his father. Pres Trump is no longer head of the Trump Organization, and is probably the only person in DC who loses money by serving in public office. The Trump family has been doing business internationally for many years. For actual business projects in real estate and land development. Hunter had a million-dollar-a-year seat on an energy company board for which he did zero work and had zero experience…in Ukraine and got very expensive personal gifts from China. But Pelosi and other top Democratic politicians set their children up in similar positions, and even now, its not illegal for Congress members (or staff, I presume) to trade stocks using insider information. You and I may not like that, but those are the rules.
We shouldn’t be surprised at blue states voting in blue candidates. For the most part these are blue states. The election is not a precursor to the 2026 or 2028 national elections. Conservatives, Republicans and Independents must continue to be united and be positive not fearful.
Father your word says If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves, and pray seek my face and turn from there wicked ways then you will hear from heaven forgive our sins and heal our land. We are also to be praying your Kingdom come your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. We are praying according to your word and looking to your promises. For the life of me I can’t understand, as a CHRISTIAN, why it is just a given that Democrats winning is bad. Oh all Democrats are evil, right? Why? Because you disagree on one issue, abortion? And, how can Christians not even conceive of the fact that other Christians might disagree. Some believe that the best way to reduce abortions is not by stricter laws but by incentives to keep people from getting abortions. You may not agree but you can’t even conceive of the fact that Christians might hold a different view. Jesus didn’t seem to believe that the best way to change behavior is through laws. Have you read the sermon on the mount? Only Democrats are evil? How many Republican politicians are arrested for having sex with minors vs Democrats? Hint, its not close and not the party you think is evil. You may not think Trump is corrupt, but it sure seems to some that he is taking bribes out in the open, and Christians can’t conceive of the fact that people are concerned. Young Republicans have a group chat glorifying Hitler, rape, killing Democrats and you can’t consider that other Christians are concerned? And this site won’t even report about that chat, is that fair to both parties. Here is a controversial statement, our commitment to Christ should be the foremost commitment in our life and what unites us, not our allegiance to a political party. If you disagree with that, stop telling others to repent, you need to repent.

On August 9, 2016, Donald Trump said that the 2nd amendment people ‘could take care of Hillary Clinton.’ It was clearly an inappropriate suggestion of violence, not the least bit appropriate. America is under no threat of being taken over by communists, this is a silly suggestion. Again, what SHOULD unite Christians is our allegiance to Jesus Christ, not our allegiance to a political party.

Actually, the Bible say almost nothing about abortion and very little about homosexuality. Still, I think that Christians should pretty much agree that abortion is wrong and that is what I wrote. I asked, because abortion is wrong, what is the best way to reduce the number of abortions in this country, and I, along with others, question whether stricter laws is the most effective way of doing that. It doesn’t seem that Jesus would believe that stricter laws are what really changes people, in general, or society. There are countries that have reduced the number of abortions in their country significantly and the ones that have been successful have not used stricter laws. It just feels like people want to have an emotional response ‘you gotta be kidding me!!!!’ responding to something I didn’t even write rather than trying to be informed. Media, both left and right can play on this and try to get us to make emotional responses from us rather than helping us to be informed.
The Bible is very clear about homosexuality being a sin.

So your claim, as a Christian, is that the basis of salvation is not faith in Christ but not being a Democrat, and people like your comment. Amazing. Meanwhile, to be a Republican at this point, is to support a president who has cheated on all 3 of his different wives, been found guilty of fraud, liable for sexual assault, and people on this site compare him to King David though he has shown no signs of repentance. He also accepts bribes in broad daylight. Mike Lindell has warned us repeatedly. The GOP puts a lot of effort & money into pre-election, candidates, etc. But they seem generally unconcerned with election fraud, tampering, vote buying, hacking, etc…which, unfortunately has become a Democratic “norm”. The democratic party has spent millions to cheat at elections. The accepted godlessness in the party’s platform has spilled over into ignoring that fraud is their new normal & its now become “do whatever we must do to win”.
Some races they probably did win but some they did not. A sad indicator that speaks volumes of the lost moral compass of their leadership & voters who prefer elected officials to be in power anyway they deem possible.
NYC will get what they asked for. The Dems want to say “it was a mandate” by the people. Yes…but NO. An estimated 10-12%of registered NYC voters cast a vote. That’s not a mandate – that’s called apathy & not caring enough to be involved. Its not hard to put someone in office if you focus door knocking on people’s homes who will vote for socialism/communism. Not sure what the other 88% were “too busy” doing to care.

We live in a fallen world and the “cultural Christian” is dying and it’s time to “man up” in terms of our walks in Christ – enough to make a difference. When I was an elder in our congregation in Brooklyn, NY, the head elder was wont to say, “If ever there is a problem in our society, then the Lord’s church is the answer.” OF COURSE, there will be push back, but we need to stand firm in our commitments to Christ.
Father, we will not be shaken! You said You shake all things that can be shaken, but we are those of Your kingdom that stand firm in faith armored for this battle for the soul of our nation, and we shall not be shaken. We have regained much ground, but much remains to be conquered for our King and His Kingdom. I agree with Dutch Sheets’ prayer on GiveHim15 today: “Encourage Your people, Father, after Tuesday’s election results. Allow no “hope deferred” to overtake them, especially the intercessors (Proverbs 13:12). Help them to remain anchored in their faith and to focus on Christ as the Author and Finisher of this faith (Hebrews 12:2). We will not grow weary or lose heart – we will persevere (Galatians 6:9).

Dear Heavenly Father, Your Word says in Daniel 2:20-22 that You install and dispose kings. The “kings” that are being put in place is causing a revelation of truth in the hearts of people in the USA and is causing a testing for all who claim to believe in You, Your ways, Your will and Your plans. It is apparent that You are “dividing, electing and separating” people. I see that the ethical divisions are great and the divide is increasing. I see that the election of people turning to You is equally increasing as others shake their fists at You. I see that You are in the business of identifying the sheep and the goats. I see that You are separating the sheep from the goats. It is equally apparent that, as with Pharaoh in the ancient days, You are hardening hearts so Your outcome will prevail. I know You are the Good Shepherd and You will not let Your true flock be abandoned; You will run after the flock that has gone astray and will return them to Your true flock. As for the goats…You know them as well and will certainly use them for Your good and perfect purposes (that we may never understand this side of heaven) to advance Your Kingdom here on earth as it is in heaven. Help Your sheep to remain in the posture of 2 Chronicles 6 thru 7. Most especially to stay humble, stay in prayer, stay seeking Your face, stay away from our evil ways (vs 12). You are watching us, Your sheep. Watching for our actions to trust You even more for ourselves, for our families, for our nation. May You and You alone be glorified in this day and the days to come. I pray for Your shalom (John 14:27 “Shalom I leave with you. MY shalom I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled; neither let it be afraid”…Yeshua). In Hebrew Shalom means two things: 1) wholeness, nothing lacking AND 2) to destroy the authority attached to chaos. I just went through Romans 13. About Government and authorities, sometimes God allows certain people to be in authority, we may not be able to understand why, but it shows us where the mind of people are at this time, I am in California and Prop. 50 passed, Newsom strategy call was “stick it to Trump” I guess there are too many Trump haters in this state and they say it openly, without even considering how ruined this state has become and will get worse, may God have mercy. Again in Romans 13 we are called to wake up from sleep for it is “High time” it is not the time to slumber. Let us pray for God’s mercy, it seems that our nation is becoming ready for God’s wrath, and she doesn’t even know, considering that even logic has no prevalence in the mind of people while they demand the absurd and immoral As someone here wrote already, good has become evil and evil good, Truly the sway of the enemy is evident , he is not even hiding anymore, to deceive people but we pray and pray some more while we do what we can , as Our God gives us opportunities .
I am repenting for not praying for my government leaders as Paul instructed. Today I confess and repent and pray for radical salvation for all who have been voted into office. Holy Spirit do heart and mind surgery on each one. may these next few years be defined by repentance, confession and seeking Your will and the welfare of our nation.
Judgement on a nation comes in many ways. As the people of Israel demanded a king like other nations, God let them have their way. The people have voted and voted foolishly and our nation will reap what it has sown. But, but, but God! We keep on interceding and asking for revival and reformation and a nation with a changed heart, one seeking the face of the True, Holy God and the only Savior Jesus!
God DID NOT give us these election results. We earned these election results ourselves. Let’s place the responsibility for what happened where it belongs, on us the people. It is up to us to go back to the drawing board with our God to see how remedies can be applied. To say that HE gave us the election results is wrong. Kind of like when Adam said to God, “that woman YOU GAVE ME.” He ZERO responsibility at all. He blamed God. So easy to say God gave us this result. Absolves us from all responsibility going forward.
God‘s will was not done in this election cycle. Back to Father’s drawing board intercessors.

As those who love the Lord, His Word and live the way He wants us too. We must remember that everything belongs to God. He increases. We decrease! Christians must continue to fall in line with God’s plan. We fall short. Through lies, jealousy., misunderstanding and hate. We must continue to clean our own heart. Pray for our leaders. As Prayer Warriors we know that God wins always. He has long let people who hate Him, lead. The road ahead will be very rough. I know that most people did not even vote. Prayed yes, but did not vote. Mostly we can blame ourselves. But God wins and His children will win with Him. As we move forward. I thank God for cleansing this land! Keeping leaders in prayer. Guarding my heart, always keeping love in the forefront. No matter what God is in control! Let’s repent. Lose the pride. Stop thinking that things belong to us. Glorify God. Use faith in the way it was meant to be used. Act in faith. We are His servants, He is the Owner and Maker!
Wanakee, your words are mine and I believe many of us feel the same. Despite outcomes not being as we prayed, He is in control and we must check ourselves. As you stated, many didn’t vote yet complain. God is on His Throne with Christ who lives to intercede and our Holy Spirit authority remains true if, as you said, we keep our hearts guarded. Though the enemy might try to discourage the people of God, we will not tolerate it, will not come into agreement with it and will continue interceding, decreeing and declaring the will of God for our nation. We will not be stopped and we will not be silenced in Jesus name.
These election results are signs of we are getting closer to the end times. Evil is good and good is evil. The people made their choices. In 1 Samuel 10:17-27 reads the people rejected God as their king and gave them Saul who they wanted to be their King. So what do we do? We as believers must pray like never before and share the Gospel like never before. This young generation needs to know Jesus is the way the truth and the life. John 14:6
Lord Heavenly Father these results are concerning for sure. I am frustrated because this election year has not been great. I do not understand why voters do not vote or stay engaged with this stuff. I know I’m guilty this election season because I did not vote this season because I had a lot going on maybe that’s the case for a lot of other voters but it’s not an excuse. The elections are important because they decide our future and the direction of our country from the local elections all the way to the national. Lord I’m frustrated with how the election process has been geared so heavily around campaign donations and I honestly believe it’s a voter turn off and likely why voters disengage. My opinion is voters supporters should only have to help support candidates in their own state and presidential races. I have supported Kari Lake for Arizona in the past and I live in Texas and yet still either Arizonians did not show up or there was election shenanigans going on but that’s when I decided that the campaigns and FEC need to be DOGED and fixed because that’s been issues voters face as well. I’ve contacted congress a couple times about it in some of the surveys. I even emailed my representative and his team about it and I never got a response back but Lord I don’t know I just think the playing field needs to be examined and leveled to where voters shouldn’t have to worry about “Mega Donors” buying allegedly buying elections or “rigging them”. Father I pray for fair elections across the board that God you’d bless and lead the leaders of our country to work to lgether to fix the problems we have, that they would be constitutionally minded that God that they would pursue what is right. This is a war not on earthly levels but spirit like God didn’t know of these elections, he is not sitting in heaven wringing his fingers, wonder what is going on, but we the remnant need to pray, like our depended on it, for our children and grandchildren. Yes., they won in liberal blue states… in my area voter turnout was extremely low… in an off year election., sadly people don’t vote… it’s not a referendum on President Trump… it’s apathy on our part
I once heard a politician say that “democrats are merely immature republicans”.
I can see some truth in that statement because all politicians love the money that they reap through insider trading and the controls they push for to funnel huge money into their pockets, however, it is true that when you look deeper, do honest research, you will discover that it’s the republican party that is actually “for the people” while the democrats are for for “keeping the people in bondage”. Remember that God raises up kings and removes them. God has wisdom beyond our narrow vision and His purposes are much higher, but not always aligned with ours. We prefer comfort, safety, laws in line with God’s word and like it or not we are also affected by our culture and peers. The bottom line is that we must trust God foremost, but not fear that “the sky is falling” when the party that apposes God wins some elections.

In my view, Tuesday’s election results are a grim indication of satan’s deception of the American people, particularly in New York City. It’s unthinkable that after radical muslims destroyed the World Trade Center towers and took many American lives, that New York City would blindly elect a radical muslim and communist as mayor.
It. is clear evidence also that our educational system is and has been an abject failure by their failure to teach civics and American history and the value of Capitalism over Socialism (Communism).
The Democratic Party only cares about acquiring and keeping power over the people, regardless of the consequences. This will lead to the downfall of America if we as praying Christians don’t get serious about our commitment to pray day, with fervor, for our country and those who lead it.

I’m taking a deeper dive into Jesus. I have given too much time to County political activities with a zero return on the investment and, although the people are wonderful, the Lord is my best friend along with my wife.
I see it as a sign that the end of time is near. Those who worship satan and all his evils have won this round. Yesterday, a little girl in our Pathrunners after school Bible memory club saw a picture of Jesus painted on the basement wall ascending to heaven.
“Why did He leave us?”
“Oh, Jesus didn’t leave us, He went to heaven so He could send His Spirit to live in each of us. Now Jesus is with all who believe in Him forever.” She was greatly comforted by this and asked if she could draw it on the front of her Bible. 🙂

I have not been following Trump’s words regarding Israel, but I do agree with Mr. Cohen that God takes seriously how nations, or people, deal with Israel. The scripture is pretty plain when it says, about Israel, he who blesses Israel I will bless and he who curses Israel I will curse. that is pretty plain. Trump is getting advice from folks who have no heart for Israel.
Jesus, Trump needs your input into his heart. Bless him with the insights and wisdom that he can make choices that are good for Israel and America, as well as the other nations of the world.

Since the UN General Assembly in September, we at Intercessors for Israel have noticed a change in President Trump’s attitude in dealing with God’s nation and with PM Bibi Netanyahu.
He has openly boasted of pressuring Bibi to agree to his Gaza ceasefire deal – which is very dangerous and totally unrealistic.
He has even threatened to remove all American support from Israel if Israel dared to annex – which is the wrong word as no one annexes that which is already theirs – Judea and Samaria.
Thus this American President is resisting that which God is doing with all of His heart and soul (Jer. 32:41)!
And now he wants two sworn enemies of Israel – Turkey and Qatar – to oversee the disarming of Hamas – whom they have been supporting even before the October 7th massacre!
I submit to you that this is the biblical reason why Trump’s party did so badly and that if he does not turn from his anti-Israel policies, then worse is in store.
The reality is that God judges nations based on their dealings with His nation.
And He tends to be furious with unreliable “allies” of Israel.

Please keep him humble and cause someone of greater influence to give him the clear Gospel of Yeshua Messiah. He admitted he does not have the assurance of salvation in Christ. It is all around him, yet he cannot see, hear, touch or smell the Good News just waiting for him. Lord, I pray in Yeshua’s Name that whatever is blocking his spiritual understanding, You would break it down and break through to his mind and spirit.
