Democrats are racing to broaden their path to the Senate majority in November, while Republicans are spending heavily in an effort to hold their control over the chamber.
With 200 days to go until Election Day, the Democrats’ path to a Senate majority currently hinges on four states: Arizona, Colorado, Maine and North Carolina, where Republican incumbents are fighting off challenges from well-funded Democratic opponents.

Democrats need to flip three or four seats, depending on which party wins the White House in November, to take control of the Senate. But one of their incumbents up for reelection this year, Sen. Doug Jones (D-Ala.), is in serious political jeopardy, meaning that Democrats will likely have to take at least four Republican-held seats — and hold back GOP challenges in nearly a dozen other states — to win a majority.
Also weighing over the battle for control of the Senate are the presidential race and the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, which has upended the election cycle and now looms as perhaps the biggest variable in 2020.
“A presidential campaign always has the longest and most powerful coattails,” former Rep. Steve Israel (D-N.Y.) said. “If President Trump is perceived to be doing well, it will retain the Senate Republican majority. If in October he’s underwater, then the Democrats could take the Senate.”
Democrats’ softest target may be in Colorado, where Sen. Cory Gardner (R) is facing changing political headwinds and a challenge from John Hickenlooper, the state’s popular former Democratic governor and the prohibitive front-runner in a crowded primary field.
The party is also confident of defeating Sen. Martha McSally (R) in Arizona. McSally already lost a bid against Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D-Ariz.) in 2018 and took office only after Republican Gov. Doug Ducey appointed her to fill the seat vacated by the late Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.).
And in Maine, Democrats have it out for Sen. Susan Collins (R), a four-term senator whose vote to confirm Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh in 2017 amid sexual misconduct allegations touched off a flurry of anger from the left. She’s widely expected to face Maine House Speaker Sara Gideon, the Democratic front-runner, in November.
Democrats are also looking to oust Sen. Thom Tillis (R) in North Carolina. He’s set to face off against national Democrats’ candidate of choice, Cal Cunningham, in November, and recent polls suggest a tight race.
A survey from the Democrat-leaning firm Public Policy Polling released this week showed Cunningham leading Tillis by a 7-point margin, while a poll from the conservative Civitas Institute out last week put Tillis ahead by 4 points.
Outside groups on both sides of the aisle have poured money into all four states in recent months.
The Senate Leadership Fund, the super PAC aligned with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), booked a combined $43.7 million in fall ad reservations across the four battleground states late last month, along with another $32.6 million in Iowa and Kentucky.
And just this week, the National Republican Senatorial Committee, invested some $33 million in advertising across seven states: Arizona, Colorado, Iowa, Maine, Michigan, Montana and North Carolina.
Meanwhile, Senate Majority PAC, the super PAC aligned with Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.), booked more than $56 million in fall ad reservations across the four key states, plus an additional $13.1 million in fall ad reservations in Iowa.
For now, Democrats appear to have the edge in fundraising. Federal Election Commission filings covering the first three months of 2020 showed Democrats in the four most contested states — Arizona, Colorado, Maine and North Carolina — outraising their Republican opponents by wide margins.
In Arizona, McSally’s likely opponent, retired astronaut Mark Kelly, raked in more than $11 million in the first quarter — roughly $4.6 million more than McSally.
In Colorado and North Carolina, Hickenlooper and Cunningham outraised their Republican rivals by about $1.6 million each. And in Maine, Gideon raised nearly three times more than Collins, bringing in about $7.1 million to Collins’s $2.4 million, federal filings show.
But with Jones looking particularly vulnerable in deep-red Alabama and the fate of the White House appearing uncertain, Democrats have little room for error if they hope to net the three or four seats they need to recapture a majority in the Senate.
A failure to flip even one of the four core seats — in Arizona, Colorado, Maine or North Carolina — and a potential loss by Jones could effectively kill the party’s chances of regaining control of the chamber in 2021.
Consequently, Democrats are hoping to bring a handful of other states into play, including Iowa, where Democrats say Sen. Joni Ernst (R) is increasingly vulnerable. . .

PRAYING AGAINST THE EVIL AGENDA OF SATAN AND HIS AGENTS
Psalm 33:10-12 KJV, 10 The LORD brings the counsel of the heathen to naught: He makes the devices of the people of none effect.
11 The counsel of the LORD stands forever, the thoughts of His heart to all generations.
12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom He has chosen for His own inheritance.
We pray Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, we approach Your throne of grace with boldness and in the unity of faith, as You instructed us in Your Word. We come to obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need (Hebrews 4:16) for our nation and the nations of the world and the peoples of the world. We thank You for all the prayers, which you have already answered and the blessings of mercy and grace that you have already given unto us. We praise Your Holy name and pray, “Heavenly Father, Your kingdom come and Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven (Matthew 6:10). Your kingdom is established on justice and righteousness (Psalm 89:14).
We pray Heavenly Father; in the name of Jesus, we execute authority against all miscarriages of justice on the earth. We decree that all the Judges at all levels, whether appointed or elected, who have allowed the Devil to exalt himself above them to be removed from office and silenced and their wicked and unjust judgments overturned, repealed and taken off the books of law.
Isaiah 14:12-22 KJV, 12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:

In Isaiah 14, Your Word explains to us clearly what the Devil said in his heart as to his plan to exalt himself above You and Your throne and rule the earth. However, You looked into his heart and told us his intentions and how he plans to exalt himself to be like the Most High. Number one, by exalting his sons of disobedience into governmental positions i.e. the stars of God. Number two, by exalting his sons of disobedience into controlling religions and religious gatherings i.e. the congregations in the sides of the North. Number three, by exalting his wicked spirits into the first and second heaven to generate destruction through wicked and violent weather i.e. above the clouds.
We pray and command that every government official at all levels of governments, whether elected or appointed, who have allowed to Devil to exalt himself above them, to be removed form office and silenced forever and their voice to have no more authority or influence in our government.
We pray and command that every religious leader, who has partnered with the Devil to operate against the unity of the body of Christ, which is the church as did Sapphira and Ananias, to be removed and silenced and the true shepherds to arise with Truth and with instructions in righteousness from the Word of Truth, because Jesus said, “The Word is Truth and cannot be broken.” (John 10:35)
We pray against every wicked spirit in the heavens, i.e. first and second heaven, which are controlling the jet streams, the low-pressure systems and the high-pressure systems and all that is connected to weather patterns for the intent of bringing forth violent and wicked weather onto the earth for destruction be cancelled in the name of Jesus. We war against those demonic efforts and cancel those formations. In the name of Jesus we command the low and high-pressure systems and the jet streams to move into their proper positions and we call forth the promised gentle winds and the gentle rains and a balancing of the weather patterns around the globe for the maximum food production for mankind and all living creatures.
Regardless of what we have been taught, Your Word states:
Psalm 149:4-9 KJV, 4 For the LORD takes pleasure in His people: He will beautify the meek with salvation.
5 Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds.
6 Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand;
7 To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people;
8 To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron;
9 To execute upon them the judgment written: this honor has all His saints. Praise ye the LORD.
2 Corinthians 10:4-6 KJV, 4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
6 And having in a readiness to revenge (to vindicate, retaliate, to punish) all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.
Heavenly Father, we pray against all those politicians who took the Oath of Office to faithfully execute and defend the Constitution of the United States of America and to defend this country and its citizens against all enemies foreign and domestic, who have violated their Oath of Office are found out to be liars. Your Word states that the liars will be stopped (Psalm 31:18, 63:11, Revelation 21:8)! Therefore we command and order that the mouth of all liars to be stopped and those liars be removed from their office in our government, which is “Of the people, By the people, and For the people” as set up by the Founding Fathers and recorded in the founding documents in writing in the name of Jesus.
Psalm 63:11 KJV, 11 But the king shall rejoice in God; everyone that swears by him shall glory: but the mouth of them that speak lies shall be stopped.
12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom He hath chosen for His own inheritance.
Psalm 7:9-17 KJV, 9 Oh let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end; but establish the just: for the righteous God tries the hearts and reins.
10 My defense is of God, which saves the upright in heart.
11 God judges the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day.
12 If he turns not, He will whet His sword; He hath bent His bow, and made it ready.
13 He hath also prepared for him the instruments of death; He ordains His arrows against the persecutors.
14 Behold, he travails with iniquity, and hath conceived mischief, and brought forth falsehood.
15 He made a pit, and dug it, and is fallen into the ditch, which he made.

5 The LORD tries the righteous: but the wicked and him that loves violence His soul hates.
6 Upon the wicked He shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and a horrible tempest: this shall be the portion of their cup.
7 For the righteous LORD loves righteousness; His countenance doth behold the upright.
Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, we choose to agree with Your Word in prayer and we pray and command that the mouth of the liars shall be stopped. The wickedness of the wicked will come down upon their own heads and come to an end. They will fall into the pits, which they have dug for the righteous. From above they shall receive their portion of snares, fire and brimstone and a horrible tempest. Their efforts to exalt and herald Satan as god of this world and bring his agenda onto the earth during this dispensation of grace shall be utterly destroyed.
As Your Word says, “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord!” (Psalm 33:12) We take authority and command all attempts to exploit and use a crisis to try to legislate and pass illegal laws and legislate demands on the citizens of the USA including “Gun control, control over religion and assemblies, violations of personal rights granted by our Creator, illegal control of interstate movement, illegal search and seizer, social behavior, forced vaccinations, granting any power and control of USA citizens into the control of the United Nations and all like overreaches of political powers.” We call those individuals stopped along with the plans of the Devil conceived in their heart and those plans null and void and destroyed in the name of Jesus.
Isaiah 54:9-17 KJV, 9 For this is as the waters of Noah unto Me: for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth; so have I sworn that I would not be wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee.
10 For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but My kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of My peace be removed, saith the LORD that hath mercy on thee.
11 O thou afflicted, tossed with tempest, and not comforted, behold, I will lay thy stones with fair colours, and lay thy foundations with sapphires.
12 And I will make thy windows of agates, and thy gates of carbuncles, and all thy borders of pleasant stones.

Finally, Heavenly Father, we pray binding up all wicked attempts to create illegal and false voting ballets in our nation’s elections, canceling all attempts to interfere with the voting process and counting of votes. And we pray loosening, fair, accurate and swift voting all in the powerful name of Jesus. We also pray that scales fall from the eyes of American voters; that mind blinding spirits be canceled. We pray canceling the spirits of confusion and deception. We pray loosening truth—God’s truth.
Heavenly Father, we thank You for answered prayer for a Godly leader to be our President and a Spirit of Holiness again to be in the office and in the White House. We thank You for Your kindness and Your covenant of peace. We thank You for the coming Great Awakening and decree that we and all of our children are being taught of You. We see the wicked gathering together against us, and Your Word says that they will fall! Thank You Jesus! We thank You Lord that one of Your names is “Waster Destroyer” and You said that no weapon formed against us shall prosper and we condemn every tongue that rises against our President Donald J. Trump and all the Godly leaders and the body of Christ and decree those tongues condemned and silenced in the name of Jesus. Thank You Lord for that heritage and that our righteousness is through You and by You Lord Jesus.

Father, I pray for pro-life people and those who love you to be elected. May the Senate and House not be given over to those that thinks it is ok to murder unborn children. I pray for more than squeaky victories, but for landslides that our nation would make righteous decisions. I pray for the governors’ races that your true church would arise from lethargy to vote their values. Wake us up before it is too late.
Father, I pray over these races. Your people Lord want your agenda. We long for the great awakening that has been prophesied. Our country that has sent missionaries and bibles throughout the world has become, as a whole, worldly, asleep, atheistic, and hostile to you and has embraced all manner of sin. We ask for your mercy, we ask for your forgiveness for any part our silence, prayerlessness, unbelief, lack of faith, or worldliness has played into the current mess. Father restore our Land, bring us back to you, convict us of sin, expose evil disguising as good, open the eyes of the spiritually blind, create a new zeal in those called by your name. And we ask that you will appoint those to office who are just, discerning, love the Lord and are not corrupt in their ways and who can legislate honestly, who are not spiritually weak when attacked by the enemy, will not resort to lying and deception, and who will receive your wisdom and leading for this land. We entrust these races listed above to your hand and ask that you expose what needs to be exposed and that your Holy Spirit will move in these districts and states so that your plan for the United States can be best realized and accomplished. In Jesus Name, Amen
Jesus, help us! I pray that the vast amounts of money spent by the democrats be poured out like water on a sandy desert, disappearing quickly and leaving no trace. Make us to roll up our sleeves (and get on our knees) to help.
