The Bible is clear. A war rages in the heavenlies against mankind and spiritual wickedness exists in high places on the earth. The schemes of the devil concern all believers. His ultimate goal is to get Christians to turn away from God. But there’s even more to it than that.
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. (Eph. 6:10-13 NKJV)
This passage describes a personal spiritual battle and mentions principalities, powers, and rulers of darkness. These are not just ground level demons; these are fallen angelic beings. Princes and rulers, they have a higher level of authority. They rule over cities and regions because they have been given authority to rule by Satan.
The Unholy Demonic Alliance at Work
On IFA’s First Friday prayer time, Dave Kubal asked Pastor Maxim give an update on what is going on in Ukraine and how to pray. He shared that in prayer God had revealed an unholy alliance behind Putin and two other generals. The names behind them were Leviathan, Python, and Jezebel. These are demonic spirits engaged in the spiritual battle over the nation.
Leviathan– In Job 41:34, this spirit is called the king of pride. In Isaiah 27:1, he is called the crooked serpent. Leviathan twists and perverts the truth. Can you see pride and perversion behind what is happening between Ukraine and Russia?
Python– This spirit is listed in Acts 16:16. A young girl with a spirit of python was using her gift for fortune telling before Paul cast the demon out of her. A python suffocates life through its stranglehold. Python is also a spirit of divination, which is a counterfeit of the gift of prophecy. Divination is merely information through demons, whereas prophecy is revelation from Holy Spirit. Where there is divination, counsel comes from demonic spirits.
Jezebel– This pagan queen, married to Ahab, worshiped Baal and killed God’s prophets (1 Kgs 16). Jezebel hates prophets, teaches evil, and seduces people to commit idolatry (Rev 2:20). She is a usurper of godly authority, and cannot rule without an Ahab.
Intercessor Vikki Vaught shared a story of an encounter her husband R. Randolph Vaught had with a principality in 1987 connected to his intercession for Ukraine and Russia. He prayed for well over a decade and finally in 2006 the Lord revealed the name of the principality to Randolph. The name revealed was “Stalin” and seated under this principality was a throne called “the throne of matriarchy.” This gave Randolph the strategic insight into how to better pray for the nations at that time and now.
What is happening now with Russia and Ukraine is very similar to what happened under Stalin’s rule. Fathers are being displaced from homes. Ukrainian women are being separated from their husbands and children are being separated from their fathers. Vicki explained, “Satan hates patriarchy. He hates authority because it is God-given. He is working through leaders to destroy Ukraine and Russia through war.”
Pride, twisting of truth, Divination, and usurping… this is what the Lord revealed to Maxim and to Vicki and Randolph Vaught. This unholy demonic alliance works behind the scenes of this war.
Using the Spiritual Weapons God Has Given Us
To deal with warfare, let us turn our faces to the Lord and make use of the spiritual weapons He has given us.
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. (2 Cor. 10:3-5)
Fasting
If you feel led by the Lord, please do so. Let this be a solemn time of repentance both personally, for our nation and our nation’s leaders. This is a total dependence on God.
Is this not the fast that I have chosen: to loose the bonds of wickedness, to undo heavy burdens, to let the oppressed go free, and that you break every yoke? (Is 58:6)
So the people of Nineveh believed God, proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest to the least of them.”
The king of Nineveh decreed: “Let neither man nor beast, herd nor flock, taste anything; do not let them eat, or drink water…Who can tell if God will turn and relent, and turn away from His fierce anger, so that we may not perish?”
“Then God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God relented from the disaster that He had said he would bring upon them, and He did not do it.” (Jonah 3:4-10)Worship & Praise
Shift your focus onto the Lord. When you praise despite the circumstances, you are inviting the presence of the Lord in and this confuses the enemies of God.
Sing to the Lord, sing in the spirit, sing the word of God, however you are being led, exalt the Lord declare the glory of God over the nations. (Ps. 96:1-4)
At the very moment they began to sing and give praise, the Lord caused the armies of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir to start fighting among themselves. The armies of Moab and Ammon turned against their allies from Mount Seir and killed every one of them. After they had destroyed the army of Seir, they began attacking each other. (2 Chr 20:22-23 NLT)
Prayer
Pray in the Spirit, pray the scriptures, remind God of his promises, however you’re led…pray.
The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working]. (Jas 5:16b Ampc)
In the same way the Spirit [comes to us and] helps us in our weakness. We do not know what prayer to offer or how to offer it as we should, but the Spirit Himself [knows our need and at the right time] intercedes on our behalf with sighs and groanings too deep for words. (Rom 8:26)
Jesus is already victorious, let’s pray from the place of victory.
I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God’s right hand in the heavenly realms. Now he is far above any ruler or authority or power or leader or anything else—not only in this world but also in the world to come. (Eph 1:19-21)
And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross (Col. 2:15)

Father God, in Jesus’ name I pray for ALL of Russia and Ukraine, and for their peoples. Father God, we know we fight against so much evil, but we also know that you can turn the evil hearts of men, such as was Saul.
We also know that things are not always what they appear to be. We do know that Putin has had many evil actions in his past. We know, too, that God can transform men’s hearts, using various means. We also know that Zelensky is not necessarily a ‘good’ guy in all of this. He has sworn his allegiance to the NWO, and Klaus Schwab’s WEF. Zelensky was put into power, with help from Soros. Before that, he was an actor, playing the part of a president. His wife is his writer/producer. Putin is not beholden to any ‘handlers’ in all of this.
Father God, we implore you to grant us wisdom and discernment, so we can clearly see what is evil, and what is good, when the lines are so blurred. We see that, suddenly, the virus, masking, lockdowns, Biden’s failures, Fauci, EVERYthing has disappeared, and total focus, and resources are now on Ukraine. WHY is this, Father? We know that much corruption has been ongoing in Ukraine, and that many of our politicians have been a part of it, and are making many millions off of the Ukrainian and American people. Please help us to see clearly, and to understand what ‘they’ are trying to distract us from.
Father God, we humbly ask you to transform the hearts of Putin AND Zelensky. If there be ANY evil motives in their hearts, Father, we ask that you expose it, and cut it out. Lay their hearts bare, before you. They may both feel that they are doing the right and noble thing. They are both using propaganda, doctored photos, etc. to further their cause, and get people to be swayed to their side. We know that Bible stories have told us of entire people being told, by God, to destroy entire peoples, to purge the land of evil. We cannot claim to understand all the motives of Putin, Zelensky, nor Biden and his administration, that are behind their actions. We simply ask you, Father, to help us recognize lies, and actions based on emotion, rather than on You, and truth.
Father, please protect the innocents who are caught up in the actions of the egos of mere men. Lead them to safety, and cover them with your wing. Especially be with the innocent children, who can never understand the horrors of war, nor should they. Cover their ears and eyes from those horrors, and give them comfort with your MIGHTY ANGELS, standing watch over them.
We ask these things humbly, and in Jesus’ most holy and sacred name, and by His blood. Amen.
Father in the name that is above every name, Yeshua the Christ, I ask for peace over Ukraine and all of its citizens! I lift up your name above the war there and I say peace be still, salvation, grace, provision, help, love and mercy! In the mighty name of Yeshua! Bless all those who are fighting for their land and those who help with life and peace! May their efforts be rewarded in Jesus Name and may the enemy be defeated and prosecuted! The blood of Yeshua speaks louder that Satan! Amen!

Lord, I pray earnestly for these poor people in Ukraine. Families are being separated, innocent civilians are being killed, homes are being destroyed. Please God, intervene on behalf of these people. Build a hedge of protection around them as they try to flee to safety. Also, God I pray that You will touch the heart of Putin. Open his eyes to the horror that these people are going through. May he have a change of heart.

Lord, thank you, “what the enemy meant for evil, God meant it for our own good.” Tq, Lord, You alone are awesome and trustworthy. There is none like our God, who does wondrous things in our days.
Christians are praying all over the world asking God to stop a man who has the power, and using it, to inflict brutality, fear, and death. I am reminded of Pharoah and Nebuchadnezzar. These powerful leaders succumbed to the LORD one way or another, as will all leaders! It is difficult to witness these atrocities with today’s technology. The battle belongs to the LORD, He has been involved all along, and principalities are His enemies. I know it breaks his heart more than ours to witness His own creation tear itself apart. We as a global Christian church join this prayer asking God for mercy and comfort in Jesus Holy Name.
Please pray for my wife’s family in Kiev who despite having opportunity, are refusing to evacuate to safer areas even in the face of eminent danger or perhaps not believing they are in danger. My niece who has a husband and young child, staying behind with her Mom (my sister in law) who refuses to evacuate. My nephew with wife and young child who decided to stay behind just to watch their apartment in Kiev. It makes no sense, parents willing to orphan their children and widow their spouse’s for an apartment or for a Mom who is holding them back. My sister-in-law willing to destroy her daughter’s family because of the stress or fear of evacuation. Every hour the opportunity to evacuate grows slimmer and more difficult and perilous. The consequences of not evacuating are unthinkable. This makes no sense and defies reasoning confirming that dark spirits are at work trying to blind and destroy families. In staying behind (not evacuating) they are actually separating and unknowingly facilitating the destruction of their family.
In the mighty name of Jesus who is above all spiritual powers, Jesus please step in and destroy the blinding works of the enemy who wants to hold back and destroy my family by keeping them from evacuating Kiev to safer places. Lord Jesus please protect my family with mighty gradian angles so that no one will perish or be harmed. Jesus change their hearts and minds tonight and undue all blindness so they will make the immediate decision tonight to move to safer places. In Jesus Mighty Name
I am so very sorry for what is happening to your wife’s family and to all the people of Ukraine. It is a terrible, terrible tragedy and I pray for the Ukrainian people daily. I also pray to St. Michael, the Archangel who is God’s warrior angel. If you do not know his prayer, here it is. It has helped me and my family through many dark and trying times:

The scriptures you posted inspired me to pray. However I have some questions. I have seen several videos over several years where Putin clearly denounces Stalin and Lenin and he publicly said it’s the worst mistake that they ever made and that destroyed their country and canceled their 1000-year Christian history which he also wants to return to. He was baptized into the Orthodox church and I believe the patriarchy baptized him and said that he thinks he was sincere. I also saw a video of him speaking to little school children and he clearly told them to never ever make the same mistake that they did, by making the state their God and following men like Stalin and Lenin. He said the number one thing is to love your parents and to love your family. I could go on with all the other Godly things that Russia has done and the ungodly things that it has repented of that makes America look like a far more wicked and sinful Nation. In fact in another video Putin was astounded at the fall of the u.s. into moral Decay and debauchery and socialism, and he said “didn’t they learn anything from us and what happened to our country?” Now my question is this all of this sound like something it would come from the mouth of a demon? Wood a demon have enough love in his heart for innocent school children to make it a law in the Constitution that forbids homosexuals from proselytizing them and trying to convert them into homosexuals? Wood a demon built 400 churches in Moscow alone? I understand that the entire Western media and maturity of the West have no clue of the things that he said and did it above. But I think my Christian brothers and sisters should know about these things. Was the author of the above article aware of these things before it was written? Conflicting stories are coming at us from every direction, especially through the media. How are we to know what is true and what isn’t? If we ask the Lord for wisdom, He will give it to us. The Holy Spirit will give us guidance and understanding. I currently understand what is going on because back in 2016 I asked the Lord to show me who I should vote for. Not only did He answer my request, but He put me in a position where I started learning the ‘who, what, where, when and why’ of what was taking place – not just in politics, but globally. And Ukraine was part of it. I was never interested in politics, but suddenly I was submerged in information, some of which I wish I had never learned. But having learned it I couldn’t just ignore it and go on with my life as I had been. I started reading and praying more about situations and events and found that the Holy Spirit helped me to discern those who were telling the truth as opposed to those who weren’t. For 6 years I have been guided to those who know the truth (mostly Christians) and those who could help me understand what was going on, not just physically but also spiritually. I am not the same person today that I was 6 1/2 years ago. I try to talk to people about the truth but then I’m called a conspiracy theorist. But I know God has placed me where I am today for a purpose. Right now I am praying that God’s Will would be done through the Russia/Ukraine situation and that He would protect the innocent citizens and the children in both countries. When this conflict has calmed down, I will move on to pray for other people in other situations. However there is one major situation that concerns me, especially for my own children. If we don’t believe those who are telling the truth and don’t have the Holy Spirit helping us discern it, how are we to recognize the False Prophets and the Anti-Christ? They will be liars who will be telling us what we want to hear and twisting the truth just as is happening today. The Russia/Ukraine situation is horrible and is affecting many people in many countries. But for those all around the world who won’t be able to recognize and discern the truth in the coming ‘end times’, it will be unspeakably horrible if they ultimately follow those who would lie to them. If Jesus Christ isn’t already your Lord and Savior, I encourage you not to delay in asking Him into your heart. I suggest finding someone in your area who could help you through that wonderful process and then help you get started on the path to knowing God’s Will and learning to hear from the Holy Spirit. You will never regret it!

Arminda , have you seen the videos of Putin firmly to announcing Lenin and Stalin and saying it was the worst mistake Russia ever made? Have you seen the one where he did that in front of little school children and told them don’t ever make the same mistake, and the number one thing is to love your parents and love your family? Have you seen the Russian Orthodox patriarch saying that he baptized Putin and believe that he was sincere? Have you seen that they created a new constitution which incorporates the idea of God into it, to find marriage as only between one man and one woman, and forbids homosexuals from proselytizing or indoctrinating little school children? Did you know that this constitution was not dictated to the people but they voted on it and it passed overwhelmingly? Have you seen the video of their new military Cathedral? Did you hear that they have built 400 churches in Moscow alone over the last 10 years? Does this sound like the deeds and actions of a demon-possessed communist dictator? And did you hear what the United States did when the news came out that the new Russian Constitution had passed? The American Embassy unfurled a giant gay pride flag out of their windows on the day the Russian Constitution was passed. Now I ask you which nation is more ungodly and has more demons? I think we need to pray fervently in the spirit for the United States, perhaps more than Russia and Ukraine but we also need to pray for them. God bless them both and may God’s will be done and God’s kingdom come. And may the truth prevail and Satan be crushed
We know that the USA is and has been for some time, filled with all kinds of deviant practices done by people in the highest positions of the land. We know that more than once, Putin has stood for righteous behavior and freedom of religion. We also know that wickedness was done by Biden and his son in Ukraine, also Pelosi and a few of the Rinos. As I read this excellent article I was impressed with the powerful, detailed, and precise explanations and scripture on how to wage this battle. The graphics were superb – especially the busts of Lenin and Putin together. Something bothered me when I read all of the comments siding with Putin. Then it dawned on me. We only had a picture of 2 male Marxists, and in this generation of “equity” we didn’t have Jezebel and her modern-day counterpart. I have read articles on IFA about Jezebel that had pictures. Hi Carol, you mentioned that a prerequisite to a nation being healed and blessed is to turn from their Wicked Ways. As Christian certainly we must be knowledgeable about the wicked way that the US has been going, legalizing and celebrating homosexual marriage, indoctrinating little school children to be gender-confused in homosexual, demonizing anyone who speaks the truth of God and the Bible, punishing the church and Christians that they stand up for righteousness and and godliness, intimidating and canceling them.

I cannot find in the bible where principality’s names are given to people nor do I see where you can pray them down in warfare prayers.

When you study the Gospel accounts of Jesus and the apostles taking on demonic spirits, they were only taking on demons who were on the inside of people. There is not one verse in the Bible that I am aware of where Jesus or one of His apostles were taking on any demons who were operating in the 2nd heaven.
In the Great Commission Command given to us by Jesus right before He left us, He told us to “cast out demons.”
The way Jesus was wording this command, you can tell that He is referring to demons who are attached to people, not to demons who are operating in these 2nd heaven positions. He also does not give us any words or commands to “cast down” demons from the 2nd heaven positions. As such, I believe we should stay completely away from this kind of activity.

The reason why I recommend taking this seriously is because in the Bible we are told to pray for our enemies. This article explains why. We are to forgive because we must realize that our enemies are not in their right minds. If we have parents who are alcoholics or siblings who can’t stay out of trouble we must pray for them because they are not themselves.
Father God, as you protected King Hezekiah and your people against Sennacherib, we ask for the same protection of Ukraine and the destruction of the Russian Army and Putin. As you did to Sennacherib we ask you will repeat in our time and stop the war against Ukraine. Protect the Ukraine people and their country.

I have had 3 visions of at large bright red demon sitting over Ukraine whipping its tail ferrociously.
In the third vision i saw a large arrow, maybe more like a javelin being trhown from north-west, piercing the chest of the demon taking it down.

I have been praying 2nd Chronicles 20 over Ukraine. Also pray for a supernatural no fly zone over Ukraine that the enemy will not be able to fly over the country. Pray against the fighters that Putin hired from Syria to fight against Ukraine. Pray against the mercenaries hired to kill Zelensky. Zelensky is Jewish. I pray victory to President Zelensky and his people.

When this war first started, I was working on a sermon on spiritual warfare and I became aware of that still, small voice letting me know that this is what is happening. I am in agreement that we are not fighting flesh and blood but against “principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the high places.” Ephesians 6:12. Hell has unleashed his forces upon the face of this earth in an attempt to dethrone God Jehovah and make himself the ruler of this universe. However, we know that he will not be successful because God has recorded in His Word that He will crush the Satanic Rebellion, Revelation 20:10, NKJV, “And the devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are.
