I Prayed have prayed
Father, we reject the false gospels presented in these prayers. Protect every Canadian from MAID, God, and remind the world of the value of life in Your eyes.
Reading Time: 2 minutes

A Canadian minister wrote these prayers that affirm euthanasia. These demonic counterfeits have no place in the church.

From The Daily Wire. As Canada prepares to loosen laws related to medical assistance in dying [MAID], prayers published by the United Church of Canada designed to help sick and disabled people follow through with the lethal procedure are drawing criticism and shock. …

Let the IFA community know how to pray for you.

The Prayer in the Midst of Fear, which is co-authored by a United Church of Canada minister and the former co-president Dying with Dignity, an advocacy group which supported the legalization of assisted suicide in Canada, can be described as an exercise in radical autonomy. …

I am afraid. I feel fear penetrating my mind and my heart. …

I am afraid to die. I do not know what lies beyond the barrier of death. I am afraid to release myself to the great unknown. …

I have let go of hope for healing, and I hold on to hope for the next life. …

But, in the midst of my fear, I have hope that my family and loved ones, children and grandchildren will understand the choice to end my suffering.

I hope they will be proud of my decision and will understand that MAID is consistent with the love and compassion of Jesus. …

Jake Meador, the editor-in-chief of Mere Orthodoxy, characterized the prayer as “actually demonic,” noting that he is usually “careful about the use of such language.” A number of fellow commentators and ministers agreed.

The Prayer to Be Offered with Children, written by the same authors of the aforementioned supplication, is meant to help children understand their parents’ decisions to be euthanized. …

We will miss our parent, we will miss their smile, we will miss their stories, and we will miss their fun. …

We are not sure what happens when a person dies. Maybe part of them goes to a better place. Dear God, please take care of our parent when they die. Hug them very close and take care of them after, too.

Far from a fringe movement, casualties from medical assistance in dying now account for 3.3% of the overall death toll in Canada, including a 4.7% rate in Quebec and a 4.8% rate in British Columbia. Contrary to public messaging by organizations promoting assisted suicide, a mere 57.6% of individuals requesting the procedure cited unbearable pain, while 86.3% reported a reduced ability to engage in meaningful activities.

I watched what happened with my Aunt. It was not a rough experience. Hospice ended her life prematurely. Period! I’ve seen it happen to others. Period!

Father God..your word says that I can come boldly to the throne of grace to receive help in my time of need. I ask dear Lord that the law that Canada is trying to pass be blocked by you..I stand in the gap for these people and pray that they would reconsider assisted suicide. I ask you to open these people’s eyes to realize that fact!!..I also ask that you would help people to understand that this is not of you. Your word clearly states “Thou shall not kill”!..I ask for your tender mercy to be with them in their pain. In Jesus mighty name I pray..Amen.

We have legalized euthanasia in America also. It is called Hospice or Palliative Care! A social worker sent my Aunt, diagnosed with cancer to Hospice when we had never heard of it. They told her children and I that they were sending her home with a hospital bed and a nurse. First the took her to a Hospice facility to “manage her pain.” Within a week she was so heavily sedated that she just lay there. One day her daughter heard her asking for water through the sedation. We were told that at Hospice they do not give food or give water or IVs or do anything but give pain medicine unless the patient asks for food and water. The patient is usually so heavily sedated that they are alone a lot except for when time to give more medicine. Eventually my aunt stopped breathing. I searched online and so many people were saying that their lived one was killed by Hospice. Do your own research! FATHER GOD we bind these demonic prayers in Canada, and the demonic practice of both MAID and Hospice! Educate YOUR people that only YOU hold life and death in YOUR hands and let us stand against these life-taking organizations in JESUS NAME! Amen!

While I agree that assisted suicide is wrong, I don’t believe Hospice and Palliative care is the same thing. I for one was thankful to have Hospice help when my father was dying after his valiant fight against bone cancer. No more chemo was going to reverse the disease. There was much prayer for healing as well. Hospice, at least in our case, was respectful of our Biblical Christian beliefs. They helped our family navigate his process of dying. The drugs made available were a benefit to ease the pain and management of my dying father. All I know was we were thankful as it brought peace to him and all of us who were at his bedside.

I was a volunteer for Palliative Care and Hospice for approximately 40 years. I have had several members of my family and close friends die with the sweet care of Hospice Workers providing care and love. C – I am sorry you have had a very rough experience. I’ve sat and held the hand and sang sweet songs of the love of our LORD to dying people. People die. It’s harsh and ugly but the love of those who help them go with dignity and with as little pain as possible is real. No medicine takes all the pain away. We cry though it all as if the person were one of ours. It is a privilege to be included in the most personal thing a person will ever go through. The love is real. The caring is real. And when it is my turn, I pray that if I go with harsh medical suffering there will be that love around me. Nothing we can do takes suffering away. What we can do is offer sitting with and helping through this harsh time. The Jewish life calls it sitting Shiva. There are no words and very little we can do BUT share the space with prayers, letting them talk if need be, singing to them and reading to them if they want, and just letting them know they do not suffer alone. The precious people of Hospice and Palliative Care are the Hands and Feet of Jesus the Christ. Their hearts have been broken by what breaks the Heart of God. None are perfect. But they are blessings. C, I pray healing in your mourning, your grief. My heart sits shiva with you and all who mourn. God’s blessings be upon you and yours. Amen

Oh Father, we cry out for those who are ill and see MAID as their only hope for relief and wellness. I pray Satan would be deposed in their lives and these people will come to the truth through you. I pray that the 3rd Great Awakening would flow over Canada and many would come to you and evil be refuted. As to these false shepherds who are promoting MAID, may they be deposed and their lies be revealed for what they are.

Lord, we have not been given a spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. In YOU we have hope, in YOU we have eternal promise, and even in the pain of impending death, it is in YOU that we have peace. And because of this, there is a reality to which we cling, one that offers a life lived with clarity and understanding, one that gives us the strwngth to face even the worst of circumstances.

Lord, we understand pain. We do not minimize what these people are going through. But there is nothing about these assisted death prayers that radiates those promises, nothing but compromise with the world through agreement of the hopeless words of the enemy.

In YOU is the fullness of knowledge, and we thank you for this. Jahova Raffa, please make yourself known to those who don’t know your healing touch. Permeate their lives through the experiential knowledge of who you are, so that the reality of YOU might be fully known to those whose lives and bodies are so full of pain that they can’t see You anymore.

We pray for those whose earthly bodies cause them such pain that they would seek out justification rather than Your hope. Be there with them as only YOU can.

Lord, forgive is for falling so far that we would allow something like this to become a national prayer. A rally cry.

We pray for those who would read this ungodly decree, and ask for revelation knowledge to be imparted into them as they do, that they would see these nihilistic statements as being the antithesis of faith that they are.

We also pray that this mouthpiece of the enemy be silenced in the name of Jesus, and stop this twisting of the office of a leader to push agendas contrary to Your will.

Let truth ring clear, in the name of Jesus!

We are living in the fullfilment of Isaiah 60:2 (NAS) “darkness will cover he earth and deep darkness the peoples”. Lord have mercy on their souls.
