Last week, The Answer is Just God described an amazing event planned for Resurrection weekend. IFA’s Judy McDonough interviewed both Pastor Arthur Hunt and Pastor Dana Coverstone about the event and prayed about it as a community. At the time, the permit was hanging in the balance due to the National Park Service closing events in Washington, DC between March 26 and April 12, 2021 which was announced that same morning.  Thanks to our amazing God and your prayers, the event will go forth and is the only one we know of to receive a permit to take place during this time period. What an answer to prayer.

If you can’t be there in Washington, DC at the event gathering, we can all gather in spirit together that weekend by praying, interceding, humbling ourselves and through the reading of the Word.  We have done that previously as a community here and here.

IT’S AS EASY AS 1 – 2 – 3 –4:

Pastor Hunt has portioned the Word among the 50 states, the U.S. Territories and the District of Columbia.

If you are working alone, it will take you approximately 75-90 minutes to read for your state, but this is why it is so good and pleasing to God when His people work together (Psalm 133:1)!  If you gather a small team of 5 to 7 people, it only takes 15-20 minutes per person!

HERE IS HOW YOU CAN PARTICIPATE:

1. READ FOR YOUR HOME, CITY, STATE & NATION: Visit Just God to learn more about the event & project, then get your state’s reading passages. Commit to read God’s word aloud preferably on Saturday, April 3rd, 2021 and completed no later than  Sunday, April 4, 2021 before sundown.
   You do not have to sign up to participate – but if you do, we can better inform you for the next time! Click the link(s) above, click on your state, and read the passages assigned.
2. RECRUIT FRIENDS & FAMILY: Multiply your efforts by encouraging family and friends to participate. Ask 3 people to help you, then ask them to each ask one more person. The more who agree to read, the more quickly we are all covered! Consider praying together before you begin! Many people are more open to spiritual activities during this quarantine.
3. COMPLETE THE READING: Working individually or as a team, read your state’s portion. This is a wonderful opportunity for us to stand in the gap for the nation, and the world, with our arms raised in praise and in worship.
4. THEN REPORT BACK: Let us know when you have completed the full reading for your state you are from here on the comments of this article, on The Cleanse USA Facebook Page,  or by emailing [email protected].

We have participated in this effort several times since January of 2019 and have never been disappointed. It creates a great sense of purpose and unity within the community of people who engage. Our nation needs this more than ever!

Be sure to share this announcement with others. The more hands, and mouths, on deck the better right now. Dressed in His armor, we are still called to take up our shield of faith and pick up our Sword. Both of which require action on our part.

PRAYER:
Father, may you hear the humble cries of your children this weekend as we call on You, our only Savior who loved us so much that you gave Your Son for us as a ransom for our sins.  Help us to walk in your ways and in newness of life, leaving the former things and our former sinful nature in the past and embracing the new creation You have called us to be through the grace You have extended to us.  Help us to spread your Good News and Amazing Grace.  Help us to steward this effort well.  We thank you and bless you for your mercy, kindness, steadfast love, faithfulness, truth, provision, power, protection and healing.  Please hear us Lord!  Please heal! You are just God. You are the only living, one true God, of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and we want to walk worthy in the manner of our calling by You.
