I Prayed have prayed
Lord, on Sunday, June 13, the Day of Prayer for Police, we thank You for protecting our cities, our states, and our nations.  Protect our law-abiding officers as they keep us safe, standing in the gap, between good and evil.

According to a new report, the Minneapolis Police Department stands to lose 20% of their workforce in the near future as nearly 200 of their officers have applied for leave due to post-traumatic stress. This disturbing trend has hit not only in Minneapolis.  Atlanta’s force is down 13%, with many other states reporting the same issues. In a recent study, 10,000 officers were asked if they would recommend this profession to a son or daughter.  Over 80% said no.

I distinctly remember being taught to honor and respect police officers when I was growing up.  Back then, it seemed that all little boys wanted to become a police officer.  They wanted to help people.

Today, this noble profession has been tarnished by the constant anger and violence daily hurled at law enforcement officers.  Along with the violence, the threat of defunding is causing a mass exodus in this much needed workforce.

Are there some bad law enforcement officers?  Yes, I am certain there are.  Just as there are some bad doctors, accountants, and judges.  No profession is without a bad apple here and there; however, it does not make them all bad.

A righteous police officers fights, not because he hates what is in front of him, but because he is protecting what is behind him.

God tells us in Ezekiel that He looks for those who will stand in the gap – that is what a good police officer does.  He/she stands in the gap, between right and wrong.

Matthew 5:9 says, “Blessed are the peacekeepers, for they shall be called the children of God.”

The upstanding, law-abiding law enforcement officers are indeed peacekeepers.  We must, as intercessors, stand in the gap for them.  Sunday, June 13th is the Day of Prayer & Appreciation for Law Enforcement Officers.  Let’s join together and pray for these brave men and women, remembering, not all heros wear capes.  Some wear a badge.

Father, we come to You today in the name of Jesus.  We pray over police officers, deputies, sheriffs, and all other law enforcement officers.  First of all, we ask that their hearts would be turned to You.  We ask that You would give them ears to hear Your voice.  Give them hearts to understand Your direction as You show them the way to peace and protection.  God, we ask that You cause angels to surround them and keep them safe in all their ways.

We ask You to lead and guide them in the way they should go.  We thank You that they work well together in unity in keeping their cities, states, and our nation safe.

We ask You to restore their good name. Weed out the bad and promote the good, in Jesus’ name.  Restore confidence in the people of this land concerning police officers.

We pray for the families of those in law enforcement.  Protect them and keep them safe.  We speak peace to their heart and mind.

Lord, we thank You for protecting our cities, our states, and our nations.  Protect our law-abiding officers as they keep us safe, standing in the gap, between good and evil.

Thank you that You hear our prayers and hasten to perform Your word this day, in Jesus’ name.  Amen.

I prayed in agreement with the above prayer. But as I said in a previous post, there is a facet of insight , concerning police brutality, that the Holy Spirit revealed to me in a dream about 20 years ago: to condense the meaning of the dream. I saw two white police officers coming together down the staircase of our local courthouse- one had dark hair the other was blond. As I watched them, the one with the blond hair transformed into a big raging bully reminding me of a white supremest. He was huge and mad! The officer with the dark hair became meek and timid.
Then I heard the voice of the Lord say to me in the dream, “ This has happened because of the lawlessness of the people.”
I knew immediately what he meant, we the people can be guilty of all kinds of unlawful behavior that we don’t even give a second thought to, such as—driving over the speed limits, telling lies, cheating on our income taxes, Jay-walking, etc. Those are so innocuous that we hardly pay any attention to them.
God help me to get clean all the way with you! I want the fullers soap and brush! Let your people do business with you and I pray you would REVERSE this distorted shape some of our officers have turned into!
Please God!

Father God, please protect our police officers as they try to keep us safe. Give them encouragement and wisdom as they continue to be under scrutiny. I also thank the police officers as they put their life on the line for us every day. Jesus name I pray, Amen.

Thank you father for all our law enforcement, bless them, keep them safe, place a wall of fire about them as they go into dangerous settings. May they help to prevent evil and keep the people in our cities safe that we may live quiet and peaceful lives.

My grandson loves the police and would like to be one when he grows up. He is nine no and he would make an awesome law-enforcement officer. I have a neighbor who is a policeman. We are so fortunate to have law-enforcement officers who are committed to keeping us safe. God bless and encourage them. Stop the radical attacks on those whose mission it is to protect the citizens of America. In Jesus’ name – AMEN!

There is a spirit of lawlessness in our country, against our policemen, as well as against Americans. There are mayors and governors, this administration, as well as some citizens, who simply refuse to back our police (because of their agendas). If this administration would stand up for our law enforcerment, things would change. Since they won’t, we need to let our local and state mayors and governors know that we stand with law enforcement and we EXPECT them to also. If the bad guys come to the politicians homes, they yell for the police to save them! The hypocrisy is astounding! We are the ones to “stand in the gap” for our police officers! God bless and protect them!

Almighty Father, we pray for the safety of all of our precious law enforcement officers throughout America. We pray that You place a hedge of protection around them all, and bring them home at the end of their shift safely. We pray that they remain strong, and not allow the stress of their jobs to bring about mental and physical unwellness. Please help them in their marriages, struggles perhaps with depression, desire for alcohol or drugs or attention outside of their marriage. Please Father God, bless each of them and their families. Amen

Heavely father please watch over the law enforcement officers in this nation. They are under siege from the media and politicians fueling hate against them to benefit their political careers. Shield them from harm as they do their jobs and give peace of mind to their families who worry about them daily. Raise up leaders of integrity who support police and create reforms that do not place officers in more danger. Amen!

Father I agree with Jamie’s prayer and ask that you change the hearts of leadership to do that which is right. Let them see their foolishness in stripping these dedicated men and women of funding, of protection them as they work to protect us. And Lord I pray you will root out all wickedness from every police and sheriff’s office that not one man or woman would do anything dishonorable.
Put a shield around them as they work today and everyday. Bless their families, their loved ones and give them peace. I pray for those who don’t know you to be transformed from darkness to light.
Have mercy Lord Jesus

Lord, we pray for the men and women in law enforcement, in all capacities, to be encircled by your army of angels and to be protected at all times. We include their families and loved ones as well Lord. We ask for you to lead, guide and direct them in every situation they face Lord; they are constantly exposed to danger and physical and emotional abuse from all sides. Protect their hearts, minds, feelings and emotions Lord; we all have them and we need your protection from Satan’s demons and evil spirits. They face spiritual warfare most of us will never see Lord. Walk with them and help them keep calm and discerning, knowing you are sovereign and powerful and you will always be by their side. Thank you God for hearts that love you and are determined to do your will and thank law enforcement for their devotion to God, communities, and duty. Amen.

Lovely prayer Nan and I amen and amen it.

Yes Lord I agree with Nan for the protection of all law enforcement officers throughout the land. I know some deputies and police officers and they are doing their job to the best of their abilities. Yes, there are those who are bad but we must not tar all officers with the same brush. Lord I ask for Your divine intervention as they daily do their best for we citizens.

This was on the heart of our Pastor of our church recently. We have invited our deputies that protect our area near our church and their families to be honored and prayed for this Sunday. We are also planning a luncheon for them after our service. It’s so easy to reach out. Please consider a gesture such as this for your local enforcement. I believe God wants us as His family to extend our love to our local community officers. Lord, we pray that you will encourage church bodies to pray for their local officers, and be a blessing to them and their families at a time such as this. Please protect and keep them safe, provide encouragement and a loving community around them all. In Jesus Name. Amen.

What a beautiful blessing for the officers! May the Lord bring many opportunities to love and care for the officers and their families. I pray they all see Jesus as the church serves them. Thank you for sharing!

    Father,
We lift up Kimberly’s husband to You and thank You for the dedication of this man and their son to protecting their community and upholding the Constitution of the United States of America. We speak to cancer in the Name of JESUS and by its authority derived from the sacrificial life He lead and gave for His creation to PROSPER and BE IN HEALTH — cancer, we curse you and command you to die and be permanently gone from this man’s body and we forbid you to return to him or to anyone else. In the place of cancer we speak divine health to every cell, fiber and tissue of his being. We thank You, JESUS, for the stripes You bore that total healing would be available to all. Thank You for setting the captive free and sustaining and promoting wholeness of body, soul and spirit in all people. Thank You for Kimberly in sharing this need and trusting in Your goodness Father to be the faithful and trusted Healer Your Word proclaims. Father, cause the retirement of Kimberly’s husband to be a wonderful blessing to the whole family. May that family be richly recompensed for all they have sacrificed and continue to sacrifice through the efforts of their son to ensure that peace is maintained in their community. May they continue to garner the support and appreciation of all who know them. May their relationships with You and, thereby, with each other continue to flourish and impact others in such a way as to manifest Your glory and bring great increase to Your Kingdom. May their lives always be a testimony to Your goodness/LOVE. In JESUS’ Name…Amen.

Kimberly, I lift you and your husband, and your son—and all your family members up to the Lord.
In Jesus’s Name, God I ask you to surround them with your Holy Fire, with your Holy Spirit and cover them with the Blood of Jesus, and comfort them deeply as you promised us you would do, I thank you that the Word says You are a very present help in time of trouble. Father I rebuke that spirit of cancer NOW in Jesus’s Name. Be Lord over every necessary treatment, cause things to work for good in his life. You are the God of Peace that surpasses all understanding. May they live in this peace daily.
God these men have had a Holy calling in their lives, to be those who do not bear the sword in vain. Thank you that they have answered that call and lived that call.
Expose the hidden root of this cancer and deal with that root! Raise up faithful praying warriors that will stand faithfully and constantly by their sides in prayer. No one can ever be thankful enough for our men that You have called into this field, and their families who have shared this sacrifice with them.
Father in Heaven , put your big daddy arms around our brother now and minister deeply to him in Jesus’s Name.
    Love,
    Marsha

Thank you so much Marsha for your prayers! The root cause of the cancer has already been revealed- Camp Legune toxic water from the Marine Corp. They knew the water was toxic and the government did nothing to fix it. Now those who were there are paying for it. There are very evil people in power in our government from long ago who could have done something but didn’t. They looked the other way. I have no faith in the powers that be anymore. God is our only hope!
