Pope Francis recently addressed a group of young leaders from various religions in Singapore, saying “Every religion is a way to arrive at God.” Interesting timing, I thought, as a couple of weeks earlier I’d interviewed Jasvir Basi, author of The Light of the Satguru: Good News for Sikhs.
Basi was raised as a Sikh, the newest major religion, which believes all paths lead to God. His family moved to England when he was six, and one of his teachers was having a hard time pronouncing his name. The instructor asked him to pick a “Christian” name.
Basi pointed out that, “You had religious education in public schools, and you had a full service in the hall in the morning, like hymns, prayers, Bible reading, and you also had classes for two hours a week on religious education.” Basi had recently learned in British school the story of the boy who killed Goliath with a sling, so he picked “David.”
How fitting that he is now taking on the spiritual giants of Sikhism and pluralism.
One of the leaders the pope addressed was Sikh, so I asked Basi to do a followup interview addressing the pope’s statement. You can watch both interviews here:
Basi mentions that pluralism was introduced to America in 1893. This deception has had a long time to establish itself in our culture.
Fortunately, Jesus spoke clearly on the topic of universalism: … I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me (John 14:6).

Consider this verse from Acts 10.
Acts 10:34-35: Peter states that God does not show partiality, and that anyone who fears God and does what is right is acceptable to him.
What is meant by “does what is right”? Some might argue that this could mean someone who does good. Peter goes on to say in verse 43 that “through His name (Jesus), whoever believes in Him will receive remission of sins.” This is the living God we must believe.
We see also that Peter is speaking of the Resurrection of Jesus as His followers saw Him, ate and drank with Him after He rose from the dead. He then commanded them to preach and to testify that Christ would be the Judge of the living and the dead.
Context matters! Peter was saying that everyone who receives Christ can be saved – whether Jew or Gentile.

You are our guide, you are our truth, we do not have confusion, or doubt as to how to have eternal life with you, it is because of your Son Jesus Christ who gave His life so that the world may know YOU. Father send those who have a heart for delivering the true gospel to Sikh and the universal communities. May the anointing on them break every yoke and set the people free to embrace the truth of your word and live transformed lives that will bring you glory. I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

UNABLE TO SHARE “CONFRONTING THE POPE”F
We are in the last of the last days. Jesus is the only way to Abba Father, and there is no other way; as disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ, we stand boldly and declare to other religions there is only one God, and the way to Him is through Jesus, Christ the Son of God.
Father, I pray that the Pope and anyone else who thinks the way to get to You is through multiple religions. I pray they will understand that the only way is through Jesus Christ. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Bergoglio has what you would call a terrible, “Both large feet in mouth” disease, where he ostensibly has the right sentiment, but
rarely provides the proper exegesis needed for conversion and confirmation of faith for those who are sitting on the fence of this
miserable caste of secularism. Again, as I have always said in many of my commentaries here and on other orthodox Catholic sites,
one must first be governed by the Holy Spirit in order to discern thoughts and statements which are both compatible and anathema
to the Lord’s eternal wisdom. If all religions were to lead one to God, then our Blessed Lord would be denying his very self as the very
Son of God and Son of Man whose precious blood that he shed cleanses us from all sin and defilement and who has the only

or authority”, “a way of introspection and ascetism” or “a road to tranquility and transcendental peace”, but they will not assert as
Saint Peter states so clearly in is second epistle “that no one can be saved except by belief in the Lord Jesus Christ.” And as our Lord says so often in the gospels, “anyone who listens to me, listens to the one who sent me.” Love, faith and adherence to Jesus is de facto
love of God himself who is, as Saint Ambrose explicitly cries out, “maker of all and ruler of the height.”

If all religions lead to God, why did Jesus leave his throne in perfect heaven and live 33 years in this sin stained world to save us? Why did he suffer in the garden, endure the whipping, crowning with thorns and the agonizing death on the cross if any other way would have been enough to save us? There is salvation in no one else. There is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved. ST Peter Acts 4:12.
The Catholic Church does NOT thereby teach that one can be saved without Jesus!!!
Reflecting on passages such as the image in Rv 7:9 of a multitude too large to count, from every nation and tribe and people and tongue, standing before the throne and before the Lamb , and Rm 2: 15 So they show that the work of the law is written on their hearts, their consciences also bearing witness, and their thoughts either accusing or defending them 16on the day when God will judge men’s secrets through Christ Jesus,as proclaimed by my gospel… we understand that it is possible for people without explicit knowledge of Christ as Son of God, Son of man, Savior may be saved, but if they are, it is nevertheless through Christ that they are saved, by a means known only to Him.
I would hope you are aware of this opinion that we have before seemingly concluding solidly that we are in error and spreading the error that you don’t need Christ to be saved. If some Catholics take this too far and think it is not necessary to evangelize, they are certainly in mortal error, but I don’t believe that Pope Francis is numbered among them,

This is amazing!! My now deceased ex husband PROFESSED to be Vhristian. He was employed as a music minister in a Christian church. We were having problems. I kept praying, asking for answers. We were with friends. Faith/ religion were both being discussed. Out of the blue, he said ALL paths lead, to God. My m I uth flew open!! I was too dumbfounded and embarrassed. We went to counseling, to no avail. I knew in my heart that it was THE END!! Things deteriorated, from there. Thankfully, we divorced.
If we accept the word of man above the Word of God in anything, we will most likely be misled and fall into error and eventually even into apostasy. If we instead seek Holy Spirit instruction, and weigh every word of man against God’s Word – we will receive Truth and Life in Yeshua. Lord, deliver us from “itching ears” (II Tim. 4:3-4), from being “tossed about by every wind of doctrine” (Eph. 4:14), from any “imaginations or high things that exalt themselves against the knowledge of God” (II Cor. 10:5). Help us Lord, to take captive every thought, making it obedient to Messiah (II Cor. 10:5). Align us with Your Holy Word, and Your divine character.

I have rarely read political comments from the prayers on this site disparaging leftist politicians here. Why is it that those with TDS feel compelled to expose their malady without offering anything prayerful or helpful?
Reminds me of the verse I think is in book of Thessalonians that says when they say peace and safety, look up your redemption draws near. This is the type of thought that is being used to justify the persecution of authentic Christianity. Jesus also said He came not to bring peace but division. And in the same context was saying not to love anyone ever mother, father, son or daughter more than him. Those that compromise the truth for the sake of being loved by those that deny the truth that acceptance of Jesus as Lord and Savior is the only way to heaven are really loving themselves more than God. Let God be true and every man a liar.

He was offering peace and less division. Something true followers of God understand.
There is no peace without accepting and embracing Biblical Truth, which is the person of Yeshua, for He said “I Am the Way, the Truth, and the Life”. True followers of YHVH know Him, and will follow no other. Self-delusion does not bring true peace, it just quiets the still, small voice of Holy Spirit conviction until it is no longer discernable. A dangerous place to be.
Jesus Christ is the Prince of Peace who came to divide truth from error – and to sacrifice His sinless life to save every soul who receives and follows Him!

Sounds like Pope Francis needs to read the Bible, as John 14:6 is very plain. No other religion, god, “saint” or Mary, the mother of Jesus, is a conduit to God…only JESUS.
As teachers, we’re held to a higher standard.
James 3:1 says, “Let not many of you become teachers, my brethren, knowing that as such we shall incur a stricter judgment.”

Father, I lift up those who would be the light in the darkness. Help them to shine brightly and to speak Your truth so that many would come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Let those who twist Your Word be judged righteously and held accountable for their false leading.
Give us discernment and wisdom to come against these false teachers and give us strength to stand firm on Your Holy Word.

These are people who call themselves Christians. To allow many “ways to God” seems kinder to them, and more inclusive than the Truth, that Jesus is the only Way.

I’m very grieved that so many Christians & Pastors either don’t know or are turning a blind eye to the Republican party removing majority of prolife language from their platform (Christianity Today article). D. Trump has been disparaging prolife candidates who lost their races. Also he criticized Florida’s limit to abortion and agreed with Referendum 4 that the 6 weeks limit for abortion should be increased. He later reversed-with opposition? Also he’s content with the abortion issue going to the states which is a false victory as it’s reported we have more abortions since removal of Roe. God is not fooled. So even the Babylon Bee wrote a satire: “Prolifers excited to choose Moderate Amount of Abortion and(or) High Amount of Abortion.” With all the fear of the outcome of the election many wanting Trump, even though God spared his life twice, he is pushing for the abortion vote as his strategy vs trusting God. Why would God spare Trump’s life to have him promote a sin God hates: the shedding of innocent blood? Praying Trump will read his bible, get into a bible study with strong men of God. He does have time. It’s good to be abe to ask questions.

I’m not sure what this has to do with the Pope, but regarding President Trump, I agree about disparaging others. However, please understand he is trying to win an election. Have you forgotten he was the first president to overturn Roe v. Wade? Have you forgotten that he appointed 3 pro-life judges to the Supreme Court? President Trump is the most pro-life president we have ever had and I’m confident that as the next president he will continue to promote the pro-life agenda. If Christians don’t vote for him or don’t vote at all, we could have 4 more years of killing babies up until birth and beyond, a continued border invasion and massive crime, runaway inflation and loss of our religious freedom. Jesus was not about politics, but he was about government. And we His people have been given charge over the government on earth. I am praying for worldwide revival, protection for Israel and that America will once again become one nation under God.
By the way, I stopped reading Christianity Today when they featured Reba McIntire who apparently thinks there’s nothing wrong with drag queens saying “God bless ’em to wear those high heels — I feel for ’em.”
There is only one way to salvation; worldly heretics may preach otherwise, but belief in Jesus Christ and His Gospel is the only true road to salvation.

Your word is clear that Jesus is the only way to You. You are also clear that those who advocates another doctrine (1tim 6:3) is conceited and knows nothing. Many is the Catholic faith want to excuse the Pope saying to denounce him is heresy. His followers have put man above Christ and made an idol of their religion. Therefore because Pope Francis’ words caused those who believe in you to stumble, you have said woe to him. I pray for his heart and soul. May he be called to step down. Dear Heavenly Father: You know what is going on. You see that even preachers — even those you thought never would, are falling prey to the devil and compromising themselves and their congregations straight into hell. I pray Father that you will convict them and purge the ones who will not follow your word and your guiding. You know my own pastor has recently done a whole series of sermons he claims are about the Sermon on the mount but are based on a book by another supposed pastor. In reading only the Introduction to this book I discovered that his very first words are I LOVE Harry Potter and then he cautions the reader to not lay the book down if they don’t agree with that. I couldn’t go on. It caused me such concern in my spirit and I have now had to leave that church even. You know I tried to warn them and when I wrote them about my concerns, I find they think it is ok to model a sermon after someone who professes love for something that God abhors and warns us not to do. (divination, witchcraft, sorcery) . I pray they do not fall further into the clutches of the devil by opening this door. Please Savior shine your light and help your True followers. Give us discernment about and strength to not compromise and accept worldly ways and practices even if they come from someone we thought KNEW you. Help us Father to remember YOUR words and that only through you and your son can we truly be saved. Help us to learn to test the spirits and bring all things we see, hear, or read back to confirm it in your Word. We give you all Honor, Glory, Power and Praise for you alone are worthy to be praised.
