A federal court has ruled that schools have the right to hide a child’s gender identity from their parents. Will the Supreme Court get involved?
From CBN. Massachusetts parents of a middle school student are hoping to take their case against their child’s school district to the U.S. Supreme Court. That comes after a federal court ruled they do not have a constitutional right to be informed that their daughter changed her gender identity and name while at school. The court essentially ruled that her school had a right to hide that information from the parents.

The 1st U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals upheld a lower court’s decision to dismiss a lawsuit by parents, Stephen Foote and Marissa Silvestri, who challenged the Baird Middle School’s policy of concealing a child’s gender identity and other information from them.
The parents had written the school and told them their daughter was gender-confused and under professional care and that no one was to communicate with her about it, the Daily Signal reports. However, the child told school officials that she considered herself “genderqueer” and said she did not want her parents to know about it.
According to the lawsuit, teachers and other school employees began referring to the 11-year-old girl by a different name and gender identity of the child’s choosing at school. Meanwhile, they used the child’s given name and gender identity when communicating with the parents. …
The parents filed a federal lawsuit in 2022 against the school alleging that the school violated their due process rights under the U.S. Constitution’s 14th Amendment.
A three-judge panel ruled last week that while parents have a fundamental right to be informed about significant aspects of their child’s life and direct them, those rights are limited.
It added that the nondisclosure policy adopted by the Ludlow School Committee did “not restrict parental rights in a way courts have recognized as a violation of the guarantees of substantive due process.” …
Vernadette Ramirez Broyles, president and General Counsel for the Child & Parental Rights Campaign, represented the parents in this case. She is considering asking the Supreme Court to intervene because the 1st Circuit Court “wrongly apprehended the fundamental parental right at issue.”
“Effectively, parents are losing the ability to direct the upbringing of their child, if they choose to send their children to schools they pay for with their taxes,” she said. “That cannot possibly be the standard for the children of the 1st Circuit. We must petition the United States Supreme Court to reverse this.” …

Heavenly Father, You have made the following known: Psalm 127:3 Children are an inheritance from the Lord. They are a reward from him. We thank You for this most precious gift Lord (our children) and know this is a spiritual battle being waged against You and our families. By Your Spirit, let Your standard be exalted. Neither the school nor the judges exhibited wisdom, moral clarity nor consistent application for minors. Children cannot buy cigarettes, beer, vote, etc., yet random schools and judges can administrate their personal philosophies against parents on transitioning children (what abuse)? Would we then be able to share the gospel with their children without their consent behind closed doors and receive the same findings by both parties if challenged? Father hear our plea for our children and see the misuse of authority. Let these actions come into the full light of You and be addressed at Your throne. We praise You that You do not abandon us nor our children, but instead fight this battle for us. Walk with each family at this time and let Your favor rest upon them. Speak truth into these lies. In the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
I am pretty sure President Trump mentioned this kind of evil last night in his address to congress.

Lord God, we cry out for the protection of our children from the voices and forces of evil! We also hurt and lift up all those subjected to the parent abuse that is happening especially in our schools. Since you oppose the proud, please stop and thwart the schemes of the arrogant ones who are working to steal the minds and hearts of our children, subjecting parents to severe heartache and trials. Raise up support groups to uphold and give wisdom, spiritual and emotional support to parents going through these trials. Bring it to the SCOTUS attention to give a strong definitive ruling in support of parents rights. Root out the wickedness in our school systems at every level.
We come against this evil in the Name of Jesus. Father, send your warrior angels to help us fight this evil from hell itself. Show us what to do and how to pray that this country would have their hearts opened to the truth. We are made in Your image and our sex is chosen by You alone. We need your Almighty help Father. Amen
We pray that schools won’t deceive parents any longer. We pray that You’d give parents wisdom in ideology to send their kids to school and that public schools would fail if they keep doubling down on crazy ideals. We pray for the youth of America that they will be taught basic subjects and that gender ideology and subjects like that will be cast out of every school. I pray teachers would get back to teaching reading, writing and math and stop indoctrinating children.
King of Heaven and Earth, send Your angels and Holy Spirit to speak to this child and others like her. Tell her how beautiful she is, that You made her, and that You have wonderful plans for her life. Jesus, reveal Yourself to her that she might turn her life over to You and be saved now. Protect her from these evil spirits that prey upon children. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
