The pandemic has changed how we do almost everything. In this critical election year, the national conventions were already in need of prayer. Now, however, it is even truer. The Democratic Convention is happening now, August 17-20, 2020, virtually. The Republican Convention is scheduled to be held August 24-27, 2020.
During the Democratic convention this week, final platform decisions will be made. The Republican party adopted the 2016 platform in full for 2020.
You can pray this week in real-time, as the Democratic Party is formulating policy, programs, and their 2020 platform. Follow along with the daily schedule, and intercede on behalf of the Democrat Party–praying that they would honor God and His principles in their convention, and more importantly, in their platform. IFA asked Tamara Scott, the Chair of the Republican National Committee Faith Advisory Board, how intercessors can effectively pray for the conventions.
She explained the importance of seeking God about this: “While the conventions may be partisan events, seeking God’s direction and blessing is not. Our founders often sought the providence of God in their political work and we were blessed as a nation because of it.” She suggested we pray “that the platform, delegates, and speakers be God-honoring; that anyone who might plan to be a problem will quickly be exposed and their plans foiled; and that the conventions be peaceable, productive, and pleasant for all.” Her closing thoughts about praying for the conventions and elections are inspiring: “Pray this election serves as a catalyst to something much larger for God’s glory, releasing a spirit of revival, reconciliation, and restoration in our families, churches, communities, and the halls of government. For when we honor God in America, we’ll truly make American great again.”

Lord we pray that all who have fallen away from you will surrender onto you, repent and Glorify you as the one and only God. We pray this for the Democratic party members–each and everyone of them as we know their current platform does not represent Christian values. However, I also pray that you will provide your people with wisdom to know the difference between false representation of Godly values vs true Godly representation. May all evil be exposed as well as truth & faithful actions also be witnessed. Amen!
Sharion, I stand in complete agreement with you. Our most powerful weapon is prayer, and as Christians living here in America for such a time as this, we need to be interceding on behalf of our leadership.

Lord God, Holy Spirit, give everyone involved true reverential fear and respect for Almighty God and Your Word and Your Son Jesus, so they base decisions not on their desires and will but upon true reverential godly wisdom, in Jesus’ Name!

I am praying for honesty. I am tired of lies. I am tired of agencies holding helps back. At home test for this virus has been there but it took the NBA to get FDA to finally pass it and make it available. It was on all the networks but it was there all the time. Sad.
Dear Lord, we are entering into a very important part of our election process. By the power and grace of Holy Spirit, please inspire those who are formulating party platforms, to do so in a way that reflects Godly values as well as Your will for our nation. There is so much at stake with the upcoming election. Anything that the political parties plan that does not align with Your plans for our nation, make these plans be foiled. Our nation desperately needs to return to the Godly values upon which it was founded. We ask this in Jesus’s name, Amen.

Lord of all, May truth be spoken at these conventions. May wickedness be exposed if it exists. I pray for peace, for safety and for people to see through the lies I have already heard. Open hearts and minds to the truth and to love justice, kindness and mercy. In Jesus name, Amen
Lord, let this convention be a pivot point that returns national leaders of the party back to you. May you be exalted not politics. Send forth your Spirit that draws these men and women to your will and ways. Do a new thing as only you can. I place boundaries of protection around this convention. Let no weapon formed against the President, Vice President and support staff or cabinet prosper. Let UNITY rise. Expose everything hidden that is meant to rob, kill or destroy. May you be exalted in this gathering of leaders like never before. Open the eyes of their understanding and may miracles of salvations and impartation pervade this convention from start to finish. Father God, in Jesus’ name, I prayed for all the Christians or the people that were attending or listening to the DNC . Holy Spirit, OPEN the eye of their heart to see the Truth and to VOTE for YOUR VALUE. DO NOT ALLOW any other agenda cloud their mind.
Please Father, let the GRACE of CHRIST JESUS be upon the result of the DNC convention. Allow revival to take place in the heart of each member and attendee. It is not about us but it is all about YOU and what YOU want for America since its foundation.
Forgive all the sins that they have committed as they learned that they have been forgiven much.
Let America (DNC & RNC & Libertarian) be united in the name of Christ Jesus.

Who is on the Lord’s side? Government is not for the purpose of shoving the citizenry into practices or ideologies that remove freedom, or pull the citizens away from God. Many schools have not been teaching civics. Civics helps each person know of the founding of the country and how to be excited to be born into the heritage of this country.
Father let there be soundness of mind in the participants of the Democratic Convention. Bless those who truly do want to honor You. Let there be no mockery for Your Word says that You will not be mocked. Let courage rise up in the people who speak at this convention who want to take the party away from its radical positions. Guard the listeners hearts, that there will be no rush to support things that are totally against Your plans and purposes for America. Let every plan to push America from her foundations established in You and with You fail totally. Let every hidden agenda be recognized by the listeners and viewers. In Jesus Name, amen.
Amen and amen. I pray these prayers with my brothers and sisters. His will be done . Hearts, mind, wills turned over to our lord and savior. Isaiah 54:17. Come against these evil forces that are in people that are deceiving people to believe lies and destroying our cities, country.

VS 5 He loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of the goodness of the Lord.
This verse that follows jumped off the page during my quiet time with Jesus:
Vs10: He brings the counsel of nations to nothing;
He makes the plans of the peoples of no effect.
The counsel of the Lord stands forever,
The plans of His heart to all generations.
I pray for all the people of God to vote the Bible and that all the deceptions and lies that have transpired be exposed and that justice would be served. I pray that every able-bodied person would vote and have the discernment of truth and lies. I pray for unity and truth and the Lord’s protection over the President and all who attend the conventions. In Jesus Name Amem
Heavenly Father we pray, stand in the gap and decree “this election serves as a catalyst to something much larger for God’s glory, releasing a spirit of revival, reconciliation, and restoration in our families, churches, communities, and the halls of government and the body of Christ Jesus. For when we honor you God in America, we’ll truly make American great again.” It’s not about any government party or man or woman it’s about you God and your son Jesus Christ. Lord Jesus thank you for interceding on our behalf and for the Holy Spirit bring us into all truth in your timing God. We give you all the honor and glory for the positive outcome of both conventions that they will bring honor unto you God.
WE decree and declare your word for both conventions and release your change agent to do the work you ordained in the earth for such a time as this.

1 Timothy 2:2 for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.
