Just the News Founder and Editor-in-Chief John Solomon is calling for the creation of a new White House press pool, one that would practice authentic journalism by asking “the people’s questions” rather than participating in what Solomon claims is an atmosphere of “political effect.”
Solomon was speaking to Matt Margolis on the podcast John Solomon Reports. Margolis, a conservative columnist and author, argues in his latest book “Airborne” that the American media has “weaponized the coronavirus against Donald Trump.”
Margolis during the podcast argued that journalists at the White House press conference are in general “trying to create a narrative” instead of “trying to get the information.”
Solomon, in response, stated that White House officials need to move toward creating “a second White House press pool” in order to “create competition” and promote authentic journalism at the executive branch.
The White House Correspondents Association “has had a monopoly on [the White House briefing room] for so long,” Solomon said, stating that the WHCA has engaged in effective censorship by the way it conducts press briefings. . . .
Recalling the at-times acrimonious interactions between Reagan/Bush Press Secretary Marlin Fitzwater and former ABC White House Correspondent Sam Donaldson, Solomon said: “[Those press briefings] may have been confrontational, but at least you got news, at least you were asking the people’s questions. Today, all you get is political effect.”
Solomon, the former Washington assistant bureau chief for the Associated Press, said: “I almost never expressed an opinion. But since it’s a professional opinion about the state of the news media, it is time for this White House to create a pool.”
“If done right,” Solomon added, “you can bring some real news every day, get the American people what they need to know. Instead, we get a lot of late night comedy skits out of it. It’s terrible.”

Father God I pray for righteous men and women to be in our press corps. I pray for repentance to come forth in America like it did when the enemy destroyed the people in the Twin Towers. 2 Chr 7:14.
Amid the onslaught of Covid-19 and men not knowing what’s next, I pray for the word of truth to go out in the land via the Internet. I pray for God’s will to be done. I pray for the continuation of the MSOG REVIVAL on Facebook and on YouTube. I pray for true apostles to come to the forefront. I pray for pastors to hear the word of truth in Jeremiah 10:21. Pastors need to repent!
Father God, You know what a mess our media is in this country. I pray for a return to sanity by our media,especially in the White House press pool. These reporters have a strong influence in our society, and honest, unbiased reporting is crucial. By the power of Your Holy Spirit, please allow the truth to be the priority for the White House press pool, and the media in general in our nation.
Heavenly Father let this be your will and your way to proceed with a new News Press etc. and not the will of the White House to control the narrative like some others. We decree all hidden agendas expose and dealt with in Jesus name.

Oh God, we give you all glory, honor and thanks for what you are doing in this nation. This is a huge step for truth in media to take stage. Father, fan the flame of truth and righteousness in this nation to return us to a godly nation that honors you. Thank you Lord for using John Solomon to lead the way for truth coming from an honest perspective instead of lies. May the truth be known to all people! In Jesus holy and powerful name we pray, Amen!

I thank you for people who make astute observations that could bring about change. I continue to lift the media to you and ask that you call people out to be true to their real job – journalism and to reject the way that they are having to spin a prescribed narrative. Thank you for those who have walked away from such behavior and I ask for more to be brave and join their ranks. Help those who have the ability to make decisions about the press corp to seriously consider this recommendation. I ask for a restoration of sanity and civility and honesty to be present so that it isn’t just a theater performance that seeks to make the president and his staff look negative or stupid. Thank you for the way you have placed intelligent and articulate people to handle these issues and I pray for a covering of protection over their families and their lives. You are the God of truth. We seek to know the truth in all realms. Please make a way for the truth to be heard in our press conferences.
Lord Jesus, Thank You for John Solomon. Thank You for divine inspiration for a different press pool, one that gives competitors to the current press pool. Father God, open the doors for this, In Jesus Name. We come against every principality and power of the dark that are waging was against the american people through the press, We break those powers in the name of Jesus. Thank You Father God for reporters that are righteous and true, those that would ask poignant questions instead of the narrative/gotcha questions that we have now. We Love You Jesus and We put our Trust in You. Amen
