From Fox News. A Christian woman in Michigan who served 17 years as a physician assistant for Michigan Health filed a lawsuit against her former employer last week after they allegedly terminated her because of her “sincerely held religious beliefs” regarding gender. …

The University of Michigan Health-West (UMH-West) in Wyoming, Michigan, allegedly terminated [Valerie] Kloosterman in 2021 after she sought religious accommodation that would exempt her from having to use transgender pronouns or refer patients for transgender surgical procedures and drugs, which she said violates the teachings of her Christian faith. She claimed that while she was expected to affirm such things in theory, she had never encountered a situation with a patient that would have required her to do so.
Lawyers with the First Liberty Institute who are representing Kloosterman sent a letter to UMH-West last month demanding her reinstatement, but they filed a suit against the nonprofit health system on Oct. 11 after it failed to respond. …
“There was mandatory training that all employees were required to take with a multitude of questions,” Kloosterman explained regarding the initial incident that led to her termination.
“Two of the questions that year were very specific in confirming that gender was fluid, and I had to select the box. It was not an option for me to state my concerns, and I could not complete this mandatory test without answering that question the way they wanted me to based on the university’s belief, and so I raised my concerns,” she continued.
Kloosterman said that after going to her supervising provider office manager with her objections, she was forwarded to UMH-West’s department of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI), which allegedly led to a tense meeting.
“I said I’m a Christian, which means I’m a Christian physician assistant, and I cannot answer these questions in good conscience to God and understanding the harm it can do to my patients; this is not fair,” Kloosterman recounted of her conversation with DEI.
“The meeting became hostile,” Kloosterman said. “I was called evil. I was called a liar. And I very compassionately gave my point of what my concern was from a medical standpoint from my medical judgment, as well as in good conscience to God, and I should never have been asked to compromise my faith to be able to do my job.” …
When reached for comment by Fox News Digital regarding Kloosterman’s case, a UMH-West spokesperson said: “University of Michigan Health-West is committed to providing appropriate medical treatment to all patients and respects the religious beliefs of its employees. We are confident Ms. Kloosterman’s claims, like those she filed with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, are without merit.” …

May the schools claims be proven to be without merit as they should be.
I am a teacher and was asked in the beginning of the school year not to use pronouns with my students unless they first brought it up. I have worked in this public school district for over 6 years and I love my job, the students, my co-workers and my principle and administration. I have been fortunate to work in one of the most well known and excellent public school institutions in the country. Our school district is very conservative with most of our principals being Christians, including our district superintendent. We have never encountered Critical Race Theory being taught. We have followed high standards in teaching the basics: reading, math, science, history and social studies. Now I see a change occurring because of the powerful teachers unions. I have seen the majority of literature and studies on black history and slavery, looking down on white people. I have been a part of our staff development training (SEL) Social Emotional Learning, (Equity and Inclusion) and (CRT). They have slid this in, putting it together in what looks like a noble and pretty package. I see it damaging the morale of teachers who are Christians and are against such Marxist teachings and indoctrination. My daughter brought home book after book on civil rights and slavery. She even brought home a book that is about an autistic boy who uses continuous profanity throughout the book, blaspheming Jesus Christ. Apalled, I reached out to her principle and got the run around when filing my complaints and requesting a curriculum reading list and teachings. There is now a lack of transparency for parents. There was the question now of the use of pronouns. I for one refuse to use them even if the child requests it. I will call them by their given name at birth, not a pronoun. They are an individual regardless of their choices or their parents’ choices; however, their identity is not in their sex or gender. Their true identity and value comes from Jesus Christ. I am inspired by you standing up for yourself and for your patients. I stand by you and will pray for your case. I have joined up with a group of teachers within my school to pray together about such situations. It is just wrong. Christ is sovereign over all and we need to put our trust in Him and call upon His name to help us and to have mercy on those who oppose us and have another evil agenda. We need to pray that God would bring them conviction and humble them and tenderize their hearts. In the meantime we will stand together and stand in the gap for others in the name of Jesus Christ!
Father, may she stand firm and be validated in her stand. Give her peace and joy during this process. Give her attorneys and the judge wisdom as this case goes forward. We praise You.
I pray for all those who are discriminated against because of their religious beliefs. Protect them O Lord from the wiles of the evil one.
Father God,
I lift up Your child, Ms. Kloosterman, to Your Good Shepherd’s arms. Carry her, LORD. Protect and defend her. Give her justice and let the outcome pave the way for justice and righteousness for many others. Bless First Liberty with all the resources, wisdom, knowledge, revelation, insight, discernment, and understanding they need.
I declare Ms. Koosterman and First Liberty are covered with the blood of Jesus which has NEVER lost its power. Give them victory in overcoming every scheme, plot, strategy, attack, and trick of the enemy. In the wonderful name of Jesus. Amen.
Children mutilated in this fashion should be given no-time barred restrictions to suing the medical professionals(?) who have done these procedures to them before they were fully mature and could make the decision, with the proper therapy, to do this to themselves. Period.
Everyone needs to read “Brave New World”, and “Brave New World Revisited” by Huxley to see where it is all this nonsense is trying to take us. Transgender people are not a gender opposite from their physical gender. In a physical world, bodies do matter. The claims otherwise do not make sense. At best, transgender people are both genders, one in body and one in mind/emotion. That can be respected, but they cannot, for example, be called girls who happen to have a boy body. Not trying to discuss the whole issue here, but there are compassionate and real solutions, and they are not the ones the authorities are trying to implement. The authorities are not interested in compassion, Also read Orwell’s ineptly named “1984” to see to what extent the authorities might go to get their way.

How far has this nation strayed from our Judeo-Christian ethic and Constitutional freedoms! My heart & soul are grieved deeply over the transgender movement which is delusion, and the destruction of the essence of humans created in the image of God! Once children are indoctrinated with a choice of dozens of genders to choose from, medically mutilated, and life is not just devalued but even demonized in the womb, I fear God’s wrath cannot be far off. ‘He who stands firm to the end will be saved.’ We must keep rejecting Satan’s lies and hold fast to the Lord without fear of reprisals like loss of jobs and foul judgments against us that call evil good and good, evil. Christians have united throughout the course of history and changed things through God for the better. My prayer is that Christians would get off the sidelines and unite in huge numbers to support Godly values, those who are persecuted and vilified, gathering in such great numbers out there in the public square that the message to the warped, wicked alphabet mafia would be clear.
Many employers are getting boilerplate “diversity, inclusion, and equity ” ( DIE) training materials to include in their annual training. As a Christian, I have found questions that I could not answer. I went to my employer and received a religious exemption. They could have just fired me for not completing the training. Thanks to the LORD, that I don’t have to support a family, that I got the exemption. Pray that more Christians will notice these questions and refuse to go along with the lies. “Live not by lies.” A. Interesting how people working for Satan project what THEY are on the righteous (i.g “You’re evil”, “You’re a liar”, etc.). If one has any doubt where someone on the Left stands, just let them open their mouths.
Father, we pray that this woman would win her case, and we pray that transgenderism would not be used to persecute believers in this nation.

My understanding is UMH-West abused Valerie Kloosterman by calling her “evil” and a “liar for not violating her religious freedoms to support their unGodly demands. The courts should rule in her favor,

Her stand is honorable and Godly. May You grant her justice and keep her in Your hands as the conflict may be brutal. The enemy fights without ethics.
Lord, we needed this reminder as this is only one battle in a very long war. Pray You raise up Godly soldiers who are willing to pay the price for truth: on their knees, via the courtroom, and in the ballot box.
Truly we are weak and ill equipped for such an engagement. We humbly ask for Your strength and direction. Help us not grow weary nor discouraged.

Lord, may your righteousness pulse through the heart and veins of our country once more, but specifically of the Michiganders. May you refresh the dry church with Your living water. Revive us! Heavenly Father we pray for Valerie that You go before her in this battle. Strengthen her and give her wisdom from above. We plead the blood of Jesus over Valerie and this case. We pray no weapon formed against her will prosper and every tongue that rises up against her in judgement shall be condemned for this is the heritage of the children of the Lord. We ask for Your provision as you go before Valerie and You Lord Jesus will provide for all her needs, in Jesus name we pray 🙏 Amen
