Following an executive order President Trump signed earlier this year, Rush University Medical Center in Chicago has announced it is pausing trans treatments for minors.

Spokesman Tobin KlingerĀ saidĀ the hospital system will still offer such procedures to adults, but will stop so-called āgender affirming careā to new patients under the age of 18, theĀ Chicago Sun-TimesĀ reported.

The center had not done a āgender-affirmingā surgery on a minor since 2023, but will now stop providing hormones and puberty blockers to new patients, the outlet reported.
Asher McMaher, executive director of Trans Up Front, said current transgender pediatric patients at Rush will still be able to continue.
As IFA covered at the time, President Trump signed an executive order in late January cutting federal funding for institutions that perform trans surgeries on or prescribe trans medications for children. Although this order has been held up in legal limbo, it is still protecting minors by forcing medical centers like Rush to change their practices.
Rush is only the latest institution to cancel its trans treatments for minors. Other centers and hospitals have already instituted changes, and Breitbart notes that the nation’s largest provider of pediatric “gender-affirming care” will shut down on July 22.
This is an answer to our prayers. Let’s pray that the President’s executive order continues to stop hospitals and medical centers from irreversibly harming children!

Trans gendering our children has been the biggest destruction of the family and of our nation. It is deception to crush the future of our land. Our children are our future . This is s goal of Marxist philosophy . We must pray against it day by day and year by year. God Almighty gives gender at birth ā¦ period .He is hearing our prayers . Keep praying . He is able !
This trans issue is a bigger issue itās an issue of violence towards gender itās inappropriate in all fashions to accept and encourage things to continue on. Itās gender mutilation of course theyāre harming kids who cannot make these decisions or protect themselves from war tactics thatās exactly what it is war tactics psych warfare on society. For these kids they deserve love the hospitals and government didnāt protect society and they trusted institutions who donāt protect gender what is that itās like borderline intellect and warfare
I had to become physically violent Iām very serious when I say itās gender mutilation and they attempted to even force me to abandon my gender and to protect myself I had to use violence on more then one occasion in other countries itās a sign of genocide. I cannot forgive them ever
What and where is Rush Universities proof they are doing whatās right. Iām glad President is so involved. I believe in teaching kids to be their gender. Confusion is a normal occurrence in youth. Iām not saying their isnāt certain conditions weāre gender reassignment is needed. But it is rare. Why are people not parenting their kids counseling their kids. I wonder if those parents are borderline intellect. And these hospitals have cause problems with my own kids and Iām finding it hard to forgive as I know and believe in teaching appropriate gender roles and privacy. They have opened these young people up for perversion and possible easy predator prey. Itās upsetting so suppose to be trusted institution wow way out their in my opinion on par with mutilation of genders which is a very serious charge in my opinion

My husband and I noticed an important word in this statement – PAUSING. I’m concerned that it is a purposeful choice to send a clear message that they are assuming the right to resume these hideous practices. As long as it is available to adults, how hard would it be to resume “offering” it to minors. I’m thankful for this, Lord, but continue to repent for this heinous gender denying abuse of our children. Help us, oh Lord!
By saying I’m thankful for this – I meant I’m thankful for any ‘pause’ in trans treatments for minors, but would prefer a swift and permanent end to any medical treatment for transgendering. It needs spiritual treatment – salvation and deliverance.
Great news, but it is a shame that the only reason for those in charge to do so was the fear of losing federal money. May God remove them from their position and replace them with people who protect Godās creations from those who follow satanā s evil plan. Trust in God.
