Celebrate the National Day of Prayer
Intercessor, today is the National Day of Prayer.
The National Day of Prayer was first established in 1952 and assigned to the first Thursday of May in 1988. For over 70 years, presidents have signed National Day of Prayer proclamations, calling people of faith together for a day dedicated to God.

Every year, the National Day of Prayer Task Force gives each National Day of Prayer a theme and a prayer. This year’s theme is “pour out to the God of hope and be filled,” taken from Romans 15:13, Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
IFA has always cared deeply about the National Day of Prayer, and IFA President and CEO Dave Kubal serves on the board of directors for the National Day of Prayer Task Force, so we have provided several ways for you to honor this special day this year.
- We have released a new prayer guide titled Prayers of Protection Over President Trump & Administration Officials. As many continue obstruct, protect, and even threaten the President and his administration, we felt it was important for for intercessors to unite in praying for the physical protection of those in power. Click here to download this new prayer guide!
- We are close to officially launching David Kubal’s newest book, Impacting Generations: How Ordinary People Can Influence the Future of Nations. Click here to preorder your copy!
- Finally, just like last year, we will be in D.C. for a special edition of Pray with America’s Leaders. Join IFA CPO Kris Kubal live in DC for an exciting time of prayer in the nation’s capital. Click the picture below to pray live with us at 12 PM ET!
As we lift up our nation in prayer this year, let’s thank God for all He’s done. When we celebrated last year’s National Day of Prayer, we were in a much darker place as a nation, hot on the heels of then-President Biden honoring the “International Transgender Day of Visibility” on Resurrection Sunday. Since then, we watched in awe as God saved President Trump’s life in Pennsylvania, protected him from a second assassination attempt, and brought him back to the White House.
Since returning to the Oval Office, President Trump has not shied away from glorifying God. In a sharp contrast to his predecessor, he put out a strong gospel message at the beginning of Holy Week. He has also repeatedly credited God with saving his life. Most recently, the President marked the end of the first 100 days of his second term with worship and prayer in the White House.
This National Day of Prayer, we are thankful for leaders and a president who honor the Lord. We are also no longer the only nation praying, as Ukraine became the second nation in the world to institute a National Day of Prayer earlier this year.
Pray for the Lord’s plans and purposes for America to be fulfilled with us on this sacred day across our nation.

Praise the Lord! We must honor God on this day and every other day. We are at a critical crossroad in American history with a president who professes Christ Jesus as Lord and savior. He is constantly under attack from political foes as well as people who blindly follow what main stream media tells them. Please, let us PRAY as if our lives depend upon it, because they do.
Thank you Lord for this opportunity to be in unity with other believers.
O Lord,
In the months following the attempted (and almost successful) assasination of President Trump, we have watched in real time the spiritual growth of this changed man. What a model of Christ’s redeeming power playing out on national TV before our very eyes.
O God – You are amazing – how You love us and this nation. You have given us this president for such a time as this – our nation has been on the brink of destruction, but YOU! You have intervened and answered the prayers of those who love You – may we, as intercessors for America, continue, especially today, to pray for this nation, our president , and our people – for salvation, for service to others, for victory against the enemy.
In Jesus’ name, Amen
I will be attending a prayer service for our nation today. Many of us who have prayed and worked for God’s plan to be realized are rejoicing for this glorious occasion to shine His light on this battlefield!

It is excellent.
Fathers God, I lift up our President, his family and his administration to you! I ask for Devine protection over them! I thank you that you’ve called our President for such a time as this! Thank you for your angels that protect them from all hurt harm and danger! Thank you that no weapon formed against them will prosper, in JESUS mighty name!
Fathers, I ask you to shut the mouths of the haters and convict them of their sins against our President and our nation! Thank you for making America great and Godly again! Father God, send revival to America! Thank you Daddy for all that you are doing in our nation and all that you are yet going to do. Order our President’s steps. Let him cry out to you and depend on you in everything! Thank you for our beautiful First Lady, Melanie! Bless her and encourage her heart! I ask these things in the mighty name of JESUS, our Lord and Savior!! Amen!
I am praying for revival because our nation needs Jesus! Only Jesus can open the eyes and hearts of the blind. May today be the day.
This is from Give Him 15 today: praying in agreement as we pour out our Praise God will fail us with HOPE a hope that doesn’t disappoint!
“Pray with me:
Father, this is a significant day in America, a set-apart day when Your church crosses denominational, cultural, and political lines, humbles herself, and prays together for our nation. It is so important that we set apart a national, government-honored day to seek You. America is in desperate need of Your guidance and direction. Forgive us for our national sin of rejecting You and neglecting to seek Your plans and Your ways. We have wandered far from You, yet You are merciful.
You multiply power when we pray in unity; we do so now. We pray that the spiritual atmosphere over our nation shifts, that the united prayers of Your people would be used to usher in transformation, justice, and Your intervention in every sphere of society.
And in the spirit of unity and the power of agreement, we pray the prayer released by the National Day of Prayer Committee:
“God of hope, fill us with all joy and peace in believing, so that we will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
“You have caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead; therefore, we hope in what we do not see. This world is not our home or reality, but the Lord is our Rock, our Truth, and our certainty.
“God of hope, we pour out our praise and are filled with Your powerful presence. We pour out repentance of sin and are filled with forgiveness and righteousness.
“We pour out pain from the attacks of the enemy—anxiousness, fear, anger—and You fill us with courage, assurance, and love. We pour out our needs, the desires of our hearts, and are filled with Your Kingdom provision and purpose.
“We pour out our hearts for our nation, for the people and places, relationships and responsibilities the Lord has established: the Church, Family, Education, Business, Military, Arts, Entertainment, Media, and Government. May all who live, serve, and steward in these be filled with Your purpose, wisdom, strength, and truth.
“Let Your lovingkindness, O Lord, be upon us, as we have hoped in You. In abounding hope, anchored by our hope in the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen!”(1)
Our decree:
We decree that as we agree in prayer on the National Day of Prayer, power will be released to accomplish a mighty move of God’s Spirit, bringing healing and restoration to America.”
