The Chinese Communist Party is rewriting the Bible with revisions that attempt to portray Jesus in a different light.
It’s all part of a 10-year plan to force Chinese citizens to have faith in the Chinese Communist Party rather than a religion.
Tina Ramirez is the founder and president of Hardwired – a group that has been a vocal critic of the Chinese Communist Party and its persecution of religious groups and political minorities.

“Why would the Chinese Communist Party be rewriting the Bible if they don’t even believe in God,” she questioned. “They want the people to take their eyes off of a God and to put them on a good person and to [have Christians] deny their faith, as a result of that, and supplant that with the Communist party as the ultimate deity.”
As CBN’s Faithwire has reported, China’s ruling regime announced in 2019 its plans to release a new translation of the Bible that will include Confucian and Buddhist principles.
“This new translation…would really support the Communist Party,” explained Todd Nettleton, the spokesman for The Voice of the Martyrs (VOM) – a persecution watchdog serving Christians.
Last year, VOM shared the reimagined version of John 8, the Bible story centered on Jesus’ love and corrective compassion for a woman caught in adultery.
In the real version from the Bible, Jesus says, “He who is without sin among you, let him be the first to throw a stone at her” and the crowd begins to leave. Jesus tells her, “Go now and sin no more.”
In a version reportedly found in a Chinese textbook published in September 2020 — the crowd disperses, but then the text falsely claims, “When everyone went out, Jesus stoned the woman himself.”
Ramirez criticized the Chinese government stating it is an attempt to get Christians to leave their faith. . . .

I wrote to a pen pal in China (internationally known and traveled, atheist, possibly a member of CCP) citing this information (without sources in case it would put the sources at risk) asking if he knew anything about this and if he could freely access accurate versions of the Bible online. It didn’t surprise me that he could not find anything in their news sources about the CCP changing the wording of the Bible. But he claims the accurate text is easily accessible online. I don’t know what to make of this. I trust VOM and its sources but this is old news. Neither Hardwired nor CBN offers anything new or firsthand to indicate the CCP has done anything more since a secondhand reference to a single textbook rewording a Bible passage 3 years ago.
Can you get the actual wording of the CCP ruling in 2019 and evidence that it is being implemented in more textbooks or more widely? More evidence that Chinese citizens cannot get accurate versions of the Bible online?
This is what my friend wrote–and I know him well enough to believe he is sincere: “I searched the internet but I didn’t find a Chinese version of this news on any traditional media or SNS.
“I have a set of Chinese versions of the Old Testament and the New Testament in my home. And I checked the texts on them and they were right.
“I also searched an online bible site (http://www.chinesebibleonline.com/), which is the first website if you type 圣经 (the Bible) into Google. And the texts on it are also right.
“So, my conclusion is, it is not true. People in China have access to the right version of the Bible easily, both online and in textbooks. They are not manipulated.
“I don’t know why this kind of rumor spreads. But I guess the author of this rumor cannot read Chinese. If they know Chinese, they will immediately find that there are correct versions when you try to search the Bible.

Almighty Father and Savior, may you be honored for all that you are. You are love and most of us are on the narrow way of obedience to all that you teach and the greatest of all that you teach is love. Lord God Almighty, the Communist China Party can do all it can rewriting the word of God in its Sadistic Communist ways but the Holy Bible stands forever no matter what evil comes in. The truth and glory of God stands forever for all believers living now and who have moved on. In Jesus’s mighty name, AMEN 🙏!!!

Changing the word of God is a dangerous business! I pray that the underground church there in China continues to grow and that the truth of the word of God will ring out strong in China as NEVER BEFORE! God’s word is true and it will never be hidden! Thank you Lord, that you are true, that you continue to reign on high and will never be put down by any enemy who comes against you, our most high God!
In Jesus name I pray for those who yet don’t know you. May they be driven to you in these hard time. May they seach for you, the most high God and find you. Amen and Amen!

Father God, we come to you to the throne room of heaven where Jesus is sitting at Your right hand, asking You to send Your ministering Angels out to all those who are call for salvation according to Hebrews 1:13-14. God is Faithful and just to watch over those He loves and calls them to Himself. Thank You Father for watching over those that are Yours, for Greater is He that is in them than he (the devil) that is in the world. The Blood of Jesus Has bought them and will redeem them out of the hands of the enemy. In Jesus Name Amen
This is the most blasphemous act imaginable. I pray the Lord God, bring down a curse on the transnational criminal organization known as the Chinese communist party. I lift up the people of China that want to be free. The people of China are a great and strong people, and the Lord God will help them overcoming this.
Satan is trying to rewrite God’s words and the CCP is his scribe.
Revelation 22:18 “For I testify unto every man that hears the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book. “
May all involved in this nefarious CCP plot experience “plagues written in this book” personally so that they come to know the one & only Living God.
