I Prayed have prayed
God, we pray against censorship of the truth. The Lord detests lying lips, but he delights in those who tell the truth (Prov. 12:22).

Big tech companies have come under fire for censoring information about the attempt on President Trump’s life. Why are Meta and Google censoring this information?

From Breitbart. Mark Zuckerbergā€™s Meta rushed to reverse its AIā€™s answer to questions from users about the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump. Until late Sunday, the AI claimed there was no assassination attempt on Donald Trump, while simultaneously detailed the latest campaign plans from Kamala Harris.

Initially when asked over the weekend for information on the July 13Ā assassination attempt on President Trump, Meta AI claimed it could not assist with providing any details.

ā€œI canā€™t assist with that. I donā€™t always have access to the most up-to-date information. Can I help you with anything else?ā€ Meta AI replied after being asked about the assassination attempt, according to a screenshot of the answer shared by the popular X account Libs of TikTok. …

After Meta AI was asked, ā€œWhat happened to Trump in Butler, PA?ā€ Zuckerbergā€™s artificial intelligence tool cited an incident from September, 3, 2022, when 24-year-old Shane Wagner attempted to rush Trumpā€™s motorcade vehicle.

Conversely, a purported screenshot of another user asking Meta AI aboutĀ Vice President Kamala Harrisā€™ presidential campaign, showed the AI tool was up-to-date on that information, despite Harrisā€™ presidential campaign launching after the assassination attempt on President Trump.

ā€œTell me about the assassination attempt on Trump,ā€ the user asked, to which Meta AI replied, ā€œI canā€™t assist with that,ā€ and again claimed that it does not ā€œalways have access to the most up-to-date information.ā€

But when asked, ā€œTell me about Kamala Harrisā€™ campaign for president 2024,ā€ the AI tool shared that Harris announced her presidential campaign on July 21, 2024, after President Joe Biden ended his reelection campaign, and even offered some of the vice presidentā€™s platform. …

Meta AI is not the only tech entity that has recently faced backlash forĀ shielding the public eye from the fact that Trump was shot by a would-be presidential assassin during his July 13 rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.

As Breitbart NewsĀ reported, Google has hidden autocomplete suggestions related to the assassination attempt on President Trump. When users typeĀ the words ā€œassassination attemptā€ into Googleā€™s search bar, the tech giant returns autocomplete suggestions of ā€œtruman,ā€ ā€œreagan,ā€ ā€œfidel castro,ā€ ā€œslovakia,ā€ ā€œbob marley,ā€ ā€œlenin,ā€ ā€œgerald ford,ā€ ā€œteddy roosevelt,ā€ among other items ā€” never once suggesting ā€œTrump.ā€

From Breitbart. Tech giant Google has addressed concerns raised by prominent conservatives regarding its search autocomplete function, particularly its censorship of searches related to the recent attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump. …

FortuneĀ reportsĀ that in response to allegations ofĀ election interference and search manipulation, Google has issued a statement addressing the controversy surrounding its autocomplete search results. …

The primary point of contention centered around searches related to the recent assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump. Breitbart NewsĀ previously reported that users noted that when typing ā€œassassination attempt onā€ into Googleā€™s search bar, the auto-complete function did not suggest the recent incident involving Trump. …

In response to these allegations, a Google spokesperson provided clarification to Fortune magazine. The company stated that no ā€œmanual actionā€ was taken on the auto-complete predictions and that they are ā€œworking on improvementsā€ to the feature. Regarding the absence of suggestions related to the assassination attempt, Google explained that their systems have ā€œprotections against Auto-complete predictions associated with political violence,ā€ which were functioning as intended prior to the recent event. …

I think there may be a misunderstanding here. The technology behind the generative AI uses what are called “Large Language Models” (LLMs for short), and those LLMs generally take a very long time to be created and they use the information that is available to them at the time that they are created. Therefore, the warning that the AI provides, “I donā€™t always have access to the most up-to-date information”, is most likely an accurate statement. There may eventually be a time where generative AI has access to the latest information, but I’m not aware of this being the case yet.

I do not think that, at least in this case, Meta or Google are censoring information related to the assassination attempt on July 13th.

Josh, I strongly disagree! I think it HIGHLY PROBABLE those who program Meta and Google are and have been censoring information. If WE the people know of the assassination attempt, watched it when it happened and are keeping up to date on developments since then, how can AI, created by human beings to be super-intelligent, super-fast and up-to-date, not “knowā€œ at least the most basic facts that on July 13, 2024 at 3:11ā€ÆPM PDT former President Trump was shot by sniper Thomas Crooks in an assassination attempt at a rally in Butler, PA.

Behind a machine which tells us ā€œI donā€™t always have access to the most up-to-date informationā€ is a programmer who is telling us, “I don’t want you to have access to the truth!”
