President Joe Biden is supportive of Facebook and other Big Tech companies taking action to combat disinformation and misinformation, the White House said after Facebook’s Oversight board upheld the technology giant’s decision to suspend former President Donald Trump.
“The president’s view is that the major platforms have a responsibility related to the health and safety of all Americans to stop amplifying untrustworthy content, disinformation, and misinformation, especially related to COVID-19, vaccinations, and elections. And we’ve seen that over the past several months, broadly speaking. I’m not placing any blame on any individual or group; we’ve seen it from a number of sources,” White House press secretary Jen Psaki told reporters in Washington.
“He also supports better privacy protections and a robust anti-trust program. So his view is that there’s more that needs to be done to ensure that this type of misinformation; disinformation; damaging, sometimes life-threatening information is not going out to the American public,” she added. . . .
The Facebook Oversight Board, a purportedly independent body that can overrule the company’s decisions, said earlier Wednesday that the tech giant rightly suspended Trump in January following the U.S. Capitol breach.
Trump posted two pieces of content that were said to have “severely violated” Facebook’s guidelines. In one post, he told supporters that the 2020 election “was stolen from us” while urging them to leave the Capitol. In another, he wrote that events like the breach happen “when a sacred landslide election victory is so unceremoniously viciously stripped away from great patriots who have been badly unfairly treated for so long.”
Trump has said his comments following the breach were “totally appropriate.” In response to the board decision, he said that “Free Speech has been taken away from the President of the United States because the Radical Left Lunatics are afraid of the truth, but the truth will come out anyway, bigger and stronger than ever before.”
Board members also ruled that Facebook cannot suspend people indefinitely. The company has six months to decide whether to ban Trump permanently or allow him back on the platform. . . . .
“For every liberal celebrating Trump’s social media ban, if the Big Tech oligarchs can muzzle the former President, what’s to stop them from silencing you?” Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) wrote in a statement.
But Democrats, who impeached Trump over his pre-and post-breach remarks, largely focused on praising the decision. . . .

I so agree with Rosalie’s post. I confess that it was difficult for me to pray for the Biden admin shortly after the faulty election but I know it is our duty as Christians to pray for our leaders.
I believe it is God’s heart to feel compassion for our President and I feel that he is being used to advance the truly despicable plans of the “progressive” left and does not know what he is doing much of the time.
Rosalie’s post has spurred me on to focus on prayer for Biden and others in power, whether I agree with their actions or not. Did Jesus come for only those who are devout believers or for ALL people? It is His desire that all would be saved and that no one would perish. I have been an ongoing recipient of God’s mercy for me and I am never in a position to judge!(That said, I know that I have judged others by a wrong standard in the past.)
I pray that God will give us His heart for his people, all people.
At 1 AM in the morning on Monday May 10, 2021 I woke up and began praying in bed. I prayed for an a hour and a half and suddenly in a vision a picture of President Joe Biden’s head appeared before me like a picture on a billboard. The size of the picture was about four feet by six feet. All I knew to do was to keep praying in the Spirit. After about fifteen minutes I moved to a chair in my living room and the vision followed me and got bigger to about eight by ten feet. I prayed for about two and a half hours more and finally the vision left. The feeling that came over me was of deep compassion for the President. I felt like he was doing things he did not want to really do but didn’t know how to turn it around. Weekday mornings at 8:30 AM a few women in my church and I join together on the phone to pray for an hour. When I explained what had happened my Pastor’s wife said it like that the President is in over his head. Which I received as a prophetic statement that is why I just saw his head. When the vision ended I didn’t want to lose the holy moment so I started reading Acts. I stopped at the ninth chapter where Saul gets knocked off his horse and encounters Jesus. We need to pray that our president has an encounter with Jesus.
Censoring free speech is always wrong. It’s like the censors are saying, “We are going to decide what is right and what you think doesn’t matter because you’re not smart enough to think for yourself.” The arrogance of that is undeniable! Pride goes before a fall and the true God has a way of making the truth come out that will set us free.
First of all, Biden has no clue what he is signing- he’s told to , so he does. He is totally unfit for the office that he holds. His “handlers” are more full of ungodly evil , and are even worse liars than he is. It is really unfortunate that we are living in the times where censorship is the only way that the very insecure Dems can feel empowered. I pray, Lord, that this censorship of President Trump would stop immediately, and that no one else would receive this same treatment. I bind the Dem’s ungodly, radical agenda in our nation. I loose a spirit of truth and transparency, one that short-circuits satan’s efforts to ruin this nation. In Jesus’ name.

Biden has a long, long, history of lies, deception, plagerizing and he has always been “full of himself.” I have watched this man for years and always believed he would give his very soul to be President! Unfortunately, I think he might have!! I agree he is totally unfit for office. He is a “stand in” for what’s coming! I am not surprised by Biden’s support of censoring, that’s always what he and the Democrats do!
I agree. So does his predecessor. At least Mr. Trump always appeared to have America’s best interest at heart. Can’t say the same about Biden. I, too believe that he is nothing more than a placeholder for what is to come, which will make this country go down the tubes quickly. Remember, that nowhere in the book of Revelation is the America mentioned. My guess, is , that prophecy is being fulfilled. Thank God for his abundant mercy and grace. He will always provide for his faithful children. He will make a way , when there seems to be no way. That we can put our trust in!
