The Biden administration has put millions of jobs at risk in the private sector, federal workforce, military, non-profit healthcare, and education sectors if they do not submit to receive the Covid shot under a new OSHA rule that was just announced.  In a nation that is founded on religious freedom, what is most troubling is many employers are not respecting employee requests for  religious exemption. Second, the shot is experimental and is being mandated under Emergency Use Authorization.

OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) announced Monday that an interagency review was completed, which was the last step for their plan to enforce the president’s vaccine mandate on employees with 100 or more employees. It’s interesting to note that this is an “Interim Final Rule” with an effective date of November 5, 2021, well before the deadline for comments on the rule which are due by December 6, 2021. Apparently, this is the way business is done when the nation faces what the rule calls “Grave Danger.”

The Western Journal recently reported a statement by a spokesman from OSHA saying, “The Occupational Safety and Health Administration has been working expeditiously to develop an emergency temporary standard that covers employers with 100 or more employees, firm-or company-wide, and provides options for compliance.” In addition, “Covered employers must develop, implement, and enforce a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy, unless they adopt a policy requiring employees to choose either to get vaccinated or to undergo regular COVID-19 testing and wear a face covering at work. The ETS also requires employers to provide paid time to workers to get vaccinated and paid sick leave to recover from any side effects.”

The OSHA rule will be enacted as soon as it is published in the Federal Register and compliance is expected to be accomplished in January of 2022. The good news is Republican State Attorney Generals have vowed to sue OSHA’S Shot-or Test Rule.

What will be the impact of all the jobs lost? The economy and consumers are already impacted by employment shortages. Surely the elimination of jobs will be devastating to our stability and the many lives that are dependent on a wage and the services provided by these businesses.

For instance, Border Patrol is already understaffed; losing thousands of agents who refuse to be vaccinated will exacerbate the ongoing crisis at the border. Recently, House Republicans sent a letter to the White House warning President Biden of the possible loss of these border agents. The lawmakers are calling Biden to suspend the vaccine mandates for Border Patrol and first responders tasked with securing the border.

This week, at congressional hearings, a military physician testified about the grounding of Air Force pilots due to Covid shot side effects, and the concerns of other military who do not want the shot for various reasons.

Joshua Yoder, the co-founder of U.S. Freedom Flyers, stated last month on Fox News, “My motive for resisting it is primarily religious for myself. Among my friends I saw a need. Many of us don’t want to take this. People were being coerced, I believe in freedom and I’m here to support the freedom of my fellow employees and all people across this country. I’m not going to take a mandate, I’m not going to be forced to do something I don’t believe in.”

The trucking industry could be affected as well, according to Yoder. “The same thing is happening with the truckers, it’s happening in the shipping industry. Those Amazon boxes that typically show up in two days, you might be looking at three weeks,” Yoder added. If even 10% of the workforce is terminated, it will have profound impact on our economy, supply chain, and access to health care.

The Biden Administration is determined to mandate vaccines as much as they can. The Epoch Times reported that government lawyers urged a federal judge not to block the Covid-19 mandates that have been ordered for federal government employees, federal contractors and military. “Two dozen plaintiffs, including members of each military branch, in October, sued the Biden administration, arguing all three orders are unconstitutional in part because of an apparent lack of religious accommodations.” The response filed last week by the lawyers representing the Administration can be read here.

Yet, 11 states have filed suit against the Biden Administration for requiring employers to mandate vaccination or pay for regular testing. The case has been filed in the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals. The 11 states are Missouri, Arizona, Nebraska, Montana, Arkansas, Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, Alaska, New Hampshire and Wyoming.
