After shutting down Trump’s plans for the border, Secretary Mayorkas is calling for the construction of a wall.

The agency posted an announcement on the U.S. Federal Register that outlines construction in Starr County in the Rio Grande Valley Sector, where the administration says there is “high illegal entry.” The agency says there have been over 245,000 migrant encounters in the sector this fiscal year.
Mayorkas says he is using his authority provided by Congress to waive 26 federal laws, including the Clean Air Act, Safe Drinking Water Act and Endangered Species Act.
“There is presently an acute and immediate need to construct physical barriers and roads in the vicinity of the border of the United States in order to prevent unlawful entries into the United States in the project areas pursuant to sections 102(a) and 102(b) of [the Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act of 1996],” Mayorkas said.
The administration had put a halt to new border wall construction in early 2021, after Biden had promised as a presidential candidate that there would “not be another foot of wall constructed on my administration.” …
The announcement comes as the Biden administration is facing a fresh surge in illegal immigration, leading to record-high numbers at the southern border and intense political criticism from both Republicans and Democrats. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) sources told Fox News last week there were more than 260,000 encounters in September, which would be the highest monthly total on record.
Republicans have blamed the historic numbers on the Biden administration’s policies, including its rollback of Trump-era policies and its halt to border wall construction. The administration has also drawn criticism from Republicans for selling off border wall materials and for suing Texas over a border barrier it built in the Rio Grande. …

A wall protects our nation. A legal path for entry for immigrants protects them from the Cartels. To me it’s like first breathing from the oxygen mask in a plane that has lost air pressure in flight so you can remain conscious enough to help your child. A wall keeps our nation fiscally sound so we can help legal immigrants find safety in America.
Heavenly Father May the southern and northern borders of the USA be reinstated as the law mandates as soon as possible. Let us regain the control and begin to deal with reality. It’s highly likely that we have many people already in our country with evil intentions and plans for our destruction. Rise up, fellow Christians. Pray and then take action as the Holy Spirit leads. Look at Israel!! Heavenly Father let Israel be the victor as soon as possible. May the invasion of Hamas cause many to seek God and receive their messiah Yeshua, Jesus. Possibly this horrible war will serve to bring people to God that wouldn’t have felt a spiritual need any other way. Thank you God for the prophecy that revealed to us that in America in iSeptember all believers would be protected. Now we also plead for our country to continue to exist and that we will turn back to living your way and doing your will. Oh Lord please forgive the horrible sins committed in this country. Also I pray for peace in Jerusalem and repentance for Israel too. In Jesus’s Name amen.

Now they want to build a wall now! The damage has already been done! Where do we go from here now? And who is patrolling the underground tunnels??
Now that there is already too many for our country to adequately deal with , how convenient. They must have enough for the votes . Lord help us .
