A resolution passed last week by Wisconsin’s Republican-controlled General Assembly repealed the state’s mask mandate and public health emergency aimed at slowing the spread of COVID-19.
But just over an hour later, Gov. Tony Evers (D) issued a new emergency order and mandate, citing the new threat posed by “more contagious strains of the virus,” including the B.1.17 variant, which has been found in Wisconsin and 31 other states. . . .
“Every step of the way, our statewide strategies to contain this virus and prevent the spread have been met with lawsuits, political rhetoric and obstruction. Unfortunately, that happened again today,” Evers said in a video message announcing the new order.
“If the Legislature keeps playing politics and we don’t keep wearing masks, we’re going to see more preventable deaths, and it’s going to take even longer to get our state and our economy back on track,” Evers said. . . .
The vote would have made Wisconsin one of only 10 states without a mask requirement.
In a joint statement after the vote, Wisconsin state House Speaker Robin Vos (R) and state Senate Majority Leader Devin LeMahieu (R) said Evers “has abused his limited authority for far too long by repeatedly issuing unlawful orders beyond his 60-day emergency powers. The Assembly and Senate voted to end the executive overreach and restore our constituents’ voice in the legislative process.”
Vos said he supports mask requirements in certain “appropriate” areas like hospitals, nursing homes, prisons and public schools, but not statewide. . . .
“We are not anti-mask. It is about the governor exerting unlawful powers that he does not have,” Vos said.
Vos and other Republicans urged Evers to use the rulemaking process, which requires the approval of a GOP-controlled committee.
The vote in the Assembly came a week after the state’s Senate passed a similar measure. But the vote in the Assembly was delayed, after lawmakers learned the move could cost state residents tens of millions of dollars in food assistance.
As a workaround, the Assembly on Thursday passed a separate bill that contains a provision designed to ensure the state doesn’t lose the funding. . . .
The mask mandate repealed by Republicans had been in place since August.
Evers has lost other battles to Republicans during the pandemic. Last year, the state Supreme Court ended his stay-at-home order, and an appeals court ruled limits on indoor dining were not enforceable.

Plenty of controversy over mask wearing:
There is disagreement within medical community even about doctors wearing masks during surgery,
the air you are breathing behind a mask does not meet OSHA standards (a business would be shut down if the quality of air in their building was the same as what you are breathing behind a mask),
an important part of healthy bonding and emotional development in children is facial communication,
a scientist working in a biohazard lab said they don’t wear masks because of risk of passing out.

In California, we are petitioning to recall our governor-he is doing a horrible job and does not deserve his position of service! I wonder who it is possible to recall within the government. Are we allowed to sign petitions in an effort to recall someone who took votes from the actual winner of an election who declares the theft as a win? Can we the people sign petition to rid our states and country of people whose agenda is clearly unconstitutional. There is too much corruption in the people who are in position of controlling what happens to the people of this nation. Now we know that it is possible to steal elections, how many of these people stole their positions in order to become tyrannical about something as insignificant to the lives of so many as mask-wearing? People need the life that only Jesus can give, why is that not the most significant concern of the day? Especially by some of the so-called leaders.
Many of the so-called “leaders” in this nation are not loyal to this nation or her people and most certainly not loyal to the cause of Christ and His righteousness. I have been listening lately to teaching through the book of Deuteronomy. God’s laws are most certainly not man’s. We are moving so far away from the Truth, we are having difficulty discerning it. We as a nation have allowed those in power to move us so far away from the God we claim to be under, it is no wonder we are in the position that we find ourselves in now and the people we are trusting (politicians) are not trustworthy to help us get on the right track. So we the people have to be the ones to do that. Are millions of signed petitions and recalls of tens even, hundreds, or thousands of corrupt individuals the way to do that? Who has the power, really with regards to being citizens of this nation and at the same time citizens of the Kingdom of the God of Heaven who has allowed us to be citizens of this nation?
All I can think of to pray this morning is for wisdom for God’s people (James 1:5), for His strength and courage for us to act like and be God’s people and for us to live according to His Word and His will, so that His name is lifted high and exalted above the noise of fear and ridiculous mandates of man…and for this nation to have leaders that first and foremost fear and obey the Lord, and that we do the same, asking Him to save many through this trying time.
The Lord will return, and if I am paying attention accurately, it seems the day of the Lord is fast approaching-how are to live into that Truth until He does?

Abba, we invite you to rule over this situation in Wisconsin. Strengthen your people. Breathe your breath into the state legislature and into the governors office. Give wisdom, understanding, counsel, might, and the knowledge and fear of you. Use what the enemy means for evil for your glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
What’s next Evers?? Going to send the National guard door to door to enforce it. Ever hear of science Evers? Herd immunity?? How about zinc and hydroxychloriq one?? It works. Maybe the legislative body of WI should open an investigation into where Evers has stocks? What pharma companies is he invested in? To the people of WI I suggest that you start recall efforts NOW!! Your governor lives by fear, not by scientific evidence. He isn’t listening to the people of the state or their representatives!! But once the recall starts moving, he might listen.
Can someone please tell me why the left is so against America and her Greatness.Why do they want to destroy goodness.I think they have hardened their hearts to God and Satan has their souls.They made their choice,evil, wickedness rules them.Pray no one else joins them.
