I Prayed have prayed
Our God, You know what's ahead. Help us prepare, and give us direction. You are our Protector and our Hiding Place! Amen.

“We are preparing for something.”

When IFA President and CEO Dave Kubal spoke these words at a recent meeting, my ears perked up. Those five simple words pierced my heart and took me back to the early days of 2020.

Discuss issues you care about with other intercessors.

It was early January of that year when God spoke one word to me: prepare. After that, several times a day God exhorted me to prepare. But prepare for what?

At the beginning, I heard nothing beyond that one-word instruction. I had no idea what to prepare for, or even how to begin to prepare. I never imagined what would take place in our nation over the next few weeks and months. The pandemic, the lockdowns, the empty shelves at grocery stores, the closed churches, the mandates — and the deaths. For that reason, whenever I hear the word “prepare” now, I tune in and listen closely.

Back then, I sought God for insight. I remember clearly when He said to me: “Martha thought she was preparing well.”

We’re familiar with the biblical account of Mary and Martha:

Now it happened as they went that He entered a certain village; and a certain woman named Martha welcomed Him into her house. And she had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus’ feet and heard His word. But Martha was distracted with much serving, and she approached Him and said, “Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore, tell her to help me.” And Jesus answered and said to her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things. But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her” (Luke 10:38–42).

Martha was busy preparing. She was making ready what she thought in her own mind Jesus would want or need for the gathering. She was busy preparing food; tidying up the house; serving refreshments and making guests comfortable. She had her eyes on everything but the one important thing. Not only that, but she was annoyed and frustrated that Mary wasn’t helping her.

Mary, on the other hand, was not about to “miss the moment.” She wasn’t concerned with other people. She didn’t think about preparing food, cleaning house, or serving guests. She wasn’t worried or troubled about anything. She was in perfect peace. She had one thing on her mind, one focus: Jesus, her Master, her Lord.

Both women were preparing for something.

Martha believed she was doing what was necessary to properly serve Jesus and His disciples. Yes, there are times when we must prepare things in the natural. Tidy our house. Make sure everyone is fed and well cared for. Entertain guests. There are even times to stock up items we may need in case of a natural disaster or some other unforeseen occurrence. Those things are important — to us and to God. However, there are times when only one thing is needed. That one thing is sitting at the feet of Jesus. When God tells us to prepare, He is most likely talking about preparing our hearts, strengthening our spirits, and settling our minds. He is telling us to spend time with Him, listen for His voice, and stabilize our faith in His Word.

In 2020, God was telling me to prepare for what was ahead, first by realizing what the most important thing was: sitting at the feet of Jesus; listening to and reading His Word; praying; interceding; learning His ways; seeing things from His perspective.

He was telling me this was no time to be concerned or troubled about all those things requiring my attention in the natural, but to make certain that I set aside time to prepare my heart and spirit for what was ahead; time to spend in His presence; time to tune in to His voice and then to be quick to obey.

That’s what I did through the months before the COVID pandemic hit. And so, spiritually I was prepared. I had sat at His feet, and I was then unshaken when the entire world shifted into chaos.

Being prepared is something the Bible talks about often. One vital part of preparation is making sure all our weapons of warfare are in place.

For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds (2 Corinthians 10:4).

Our weapons include intercession, peace, praying in the Spirit, decreeing His Word, and the power of agreement. As the Body of Christ, we have innumerable anointed weapons at our disposal, including the full armor of God.

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints (Ephesians 6:10–18).

I once read an article about a Marine who had been given an assignment during a time of war. He was instructed to visit the front-line soldiers. The number of casualties had been growing daily, and the Marine’s commanding officer wanted to know why. This Marine arrived at the front line and discovered an alarming truth: Rather than being alert and prepared for instant action and battle, the soldiers were complacent. The Marine found them sitting against trees, with their weapons feet away from them, their helmets tossed to the side, and none of their protective gear in place. The Marine saw the problem: These soldiers were not vigilant, nor were they in military position. Hence the innumerable casualties. Those soldiers knew all the right things to do. They even had every weapon they’d ever need. And still, they were unprepared.

Just so, God has given us everything we need for success. Remember, we’re not fighting for victory, but rather from a place of victory. It’s up to us to make sure our weapons are always close at hand. Our fight is a fight of faith: standing firm on the promises of God, keeping our minds stayed upon Him, and trusting Him completely. We must be allowing the Holy Spirit to bring comfort in times of distress. We must be praying with all diligence. We must keep interceding until we see a breakthrough. These are all powerful weapons. But we must never become complacent; we must remain alert and firm in our faith.

Be alert and on your guard; stand firm in your faith … (1 Corinthians 16:13 AMPC).

If God is saying “prepare” — and I believe He is — we must take the time to sit at His feet. We must lay everything else aside and spend time in the presence of the Lord. We must hear the voice of God for what the future holds.

A prudent man sees the evil and hides himself, but the simple pass on and are punished [with suffering] (Proverbs 22:3 AMPC).

The word prudent can also be rendered as “wise.” Where does the prudent or wise person hide? In God.

For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; in the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock (Psalm 27:5).

You are my hiding place and my shield; I hope in Your word (Psalm 119:114).

You are my hiding place; You shall preserve me from trouble; You shall surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah (Psalm 32:7).

I’m reminded of Noah. God had Noah prepare long before the first drop of rain fell. And Noah and his entire family were saved and delivered. God has not changed. He has already given us the weapons we need. He has given us instructions. He even promised to hide us and our families away in the day of trouble. Whatever comes our way, we are safe in Him.

The horse is prepared for the day of battle, but deliverance is of the LORD (Proverbs 21:31). Yes, we can prepare for the day of battle, but only one person brings victory and deliverance: God! Noah prepared the ark just as God had instructed him, but it was God Himself who kept Noah hidden and safe — before, during, and after.

This year has all the markings of a turbulent one. Have we prepared where God has told us to prepare? As we do, may we never forget: Our deliverance and victory come from the Lord.

Share your prayer below and encourage everyone to trust our God, whatever comes.

Thank You LORD for your warning.
Help each of us to prepare our hearts to hear you clearly and to follow your instructions.
It is certainly a concern that the oil reserve is empty and is not being refilled because now gas is too expensive, so I pray for all of us to do what we can to alleviate the problem not only for ourselves but for our neighbor, too, My heart goes out to those who cannot afford to stock up. Please LORD, help those with much to share generously with those with little.
As we draw near to YOU, LORD GOD, we thank YOU that YOU promise to draw near to us. In Jesus Name. Amen.

The coming election of November 2024 is NOT the answer to all our prayers. The results of that election will only serve as a good indicator of where our country as a actually whole stands. In other words, are we finally awakening our spiritual eyes to see where the church and God’s children have let this nation slide. Have we remembered that the Psalmist clearly stated in 33:12, “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people He has chosen as His own inheritance.”
No matter the results of the coming election we need to be prepared to speak up and stand up wherever we can to bring our God’s principles and values back into our nation. Prepare our homes and families. Prepare our schools and colleges. Prepare our workplaces. And most of all, prepare the Lord Jesus Christ’s church to preach and teach the undiluted Word of God once again.
As in our younger days, we need to be good boy scouts and good girl scouts. We need to prepare for the worst by praying for our God’s best. It’s time to stand in the gap for our families and nation. Amen.

Preparation in prayer is essential! Noah & Joseph got divine strategy by listening to the Lord and then were used to provide a way of escape.

God is definitely moving, He is doing something. And yes, I believe that we must be prepared and ready. Just as the enemy has intensified his attacks on the world (ourselves as believers included), so we must intensify our prayers, our time with God, our Worship of Him, our seeking after Him, our Trust in HIM!!!
Thank you for reminding us to prepare, to be ready for whatever He allows, and to continually seek His face! May that desire be especially poured out upon the next generations, the young ones that desperately need hope, our prayers, our constant intercession and our GOD! May you pour out your Spirit upon us dear Lord, and have mercy on us as you bring about your will….we trust You!
Amen.

For weeks I have walked past homes displaying the flag of our country. Recently, I have been moved to pray for our country every time….I pass by the American Flag. I stop, place my hand over my heart ….say the pledge (quietly) and pray for our country. This is one small thing I can do……..as I believe I have been prompted by the Lord to do so. nancy l.

God, (ElElyon,) has unlimited power. Abba Father, I pray that the body of Christ (Church) today pray and speak in the realm of the Spirit so every Born again Believer may receive Revelation as we meditate upon the anointed Words for the body of Christ our Lord and Savior.

May we continuously speak the Word in Spirit and Truth. God is a Spirit. He’s seeking those available and our faith filled spoken words will become the Lord’s ability regular less of the circumstance or situation.

May all remember His Word confessing them, speaking them and in prayer. never forget whenever speaking to another Believer, the Lord write our words within His Book of Remembrance. ( Malachi 3:16)

We Believers, have the Holy Spirit, the Name of Jesus, the Blood speaks, the Word of God and the many Angels

Oh Lord You bestow an understanding into the Church concerning these End-Times. Because Words spoken in faith good or bad may fall into the heart(Your Spirit) is what we shall receive according to (Proverbs 18:21).

Father, God I pray that Christ body the (Church) receive revelation as we meditate upon your Word. Confessing our Identity in Christ, Whom we All Belong to and our Delegated Authority in earth. The Holy Spirit is seeking those available so that the Lord’s ability will do the rest.

This was a confirmation for what the LORD has given to me. After the election the Holy Spirit gave me three words. I was to STAND firm in the faith, I was to WA IT upon the Lord ” for those who wait upon the Lord will be renewed” and I was to WATCH for the Glory of the Lord will be seen. These last few weeks the Lord has intervened and answered. These answered prayers are only attributed to the intervention to a mighty God, Yes this is a time to be away with a loving God, ready to hear, listen and obey for the Glory of God to be seen by many.

The Thread of Life is Cut

PRAYING FOR FAMILY, FRIENDS, CHURCH & NATION

May this great nation of America return to God before it is too late (Jer 51:6-14). #ReturnNowToGod #Repent

Any nation, any city, yea, any person who thinks they can commit sacrilege towards God, can commit arrogance towards God, should think again. Before you know it, greatness can become a vapor. America could learn a lesson from Babylon (Isa 26:9). Babylon’s enemies were found, swarming, her streets, shouting, triumph over her.

America’s greatness is being squandered. Criminals, illegal aliens and terrorist are streaming in and swarming in and through streets. Her systems of law, order, justice and moral sensibilities are crushed. Only God knows the outcome. Will America’s “thread of life be cut”?

Lord, may we as a people in America turn to you before it is too late (note v9).

Thank you Kim. Reading this I was reminded that I had 3 revelations from different teachings come together, alive and new a few weeks back. The first is that the Pharisees and Scribes living 2,000 years ago knew Scripture very well. They studied it, They were dutiful. They also knew Prophecy and they were expectant in looking for signs of Maschiach’s arrival. But They missed it! God revealed His Son to the elderly Anna and Simeon worshipping in the Temple.
Later, we come the Martha and Mary story. Martha was doing all of the right things. In that honor and shame culture she had to perform those duties. Yet She, a personal friend was missing it! Mary was not! Yeshua lovingly showed Martha the course correction!
In Revelations 2, The Lord speaks to His Ecclesia in Ephesus, the most important Church in Asia Minor. God commends them. They are patient, persevering, and doing good things! They were missing it! Holy Spirit gives course correction if they will repent and turn!
All three stories are about Believers like us. People wanting to do the “right things.” God is all about hearts. He shows us how Anna and Simeon had a deep abiding love for Him as they sought Him and worshipped Him. God knew!
Mary loved Yeshua and didn’t want to miss anytime she could have in His presence. God lovingly showed Martha that seeking, and loving Him was far more important than any duty or obligation.
And then Ephesus, standing strong in a wicked culture, doing wonderful works but had lost their first love.
Even in this dark, threatening time, God is lovingly showing us that we can be doing it all right, yet miss what He is doing. I don’t want to miss it! The Battle is for our Hearts!
The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed.
A refuge in times of trouble.
And those who know Your Name will put their trust in You;
For You Lord, have not forsaken those who seek You! Psalm 9:9-10

As a child, I lived through World War ll in England.
Few of us were prepared for all those years of war where our homes were bombed and the young men from our family were killed on the battlefield, or on the seas, or in the air, or taken prisoner.
And when the local shops ran out of food, we stood in the long lines when we heard some food had been delivered to a distant little shop. We would purchase whatever was left, sometimes only the head of a codfish which would make good soup. God bless those brave fisherman who risked live and limb to bring in a catch.
We were not prepared for the ring of the telephone which was answered in a trembling voice for fear it was bad news.
Be prepared!
Nothing could prepare us for nights in air-raid shelters and days digging through rubble.
Nothing could prepare us for the body of my young father being brought home to be buried.
But GOD.
Hopefully, the woes in these United States won’t be so severe . . . .
But who knows?
But GOD.
Draw close to HIM now and be prepared.

Many years ago my husband went missing. His helicopter flight didn’t return to base that day and no one knew what had happened. As I stayed up all night praying and hoping… the main cry of my heart was “God, prepare me…” Prepare me for whatever is ahead. Maybe he’s hurt, maybe he’ll have landed safely and just be unable to communicate… or maybe worse. The next day his body and crashed helicopter were found. In the years since then, each time I’ve faced confusion, chaos, heartache, unexpected events, unknown endings… I’ve prayed again “Lord, prepare me.” And for friends and their sicknesses, longings, pain, I’ve prayed the same…”Lord, prepare them….” And so I love what you have written here because it’s such wise advice. May we prepare our hearts and minds for whatever is ahead – trusting and believing that God is faithful and will be our hope, our refuge and our strength. And that He will never leave us or forsake us but be with us until the end… whenever that may come. And until he takes us home, may we live faithfully – walking with him, living for him and sharing his love with others.

Yes, we definitely need to pray, listen and try to understand, hold faith and maintain our hope. I am, however, distressed by the battle tones of this entry. As a people of God, we also need to be a people of love and community, which is not consistent with battle imagery. Early Christians did not need breastplates, swords, shields, helmets, and all the other accoutrements of medieval warfare. They needed to remain steadfast in their faith and in their love of God, extending to their fellows, particularly their fellow Christians. The needed community, of which we have little today as Cyberspace is in the process of trying to separate us out. We need to forgive without yielding. We need to hold the vision of a Godly world. There is enough war and battling going on. We do not need to engage in more war and more battles. We need to simply know that God and God’s word is and not deviate from that. We need to make consistent witness as we are given opportunity to do so,. We do not need the imagery of war. It is not war we worship. We need to keep our focus on God and His Word.

Our weapons of spiritual warfare are indeed spiritual, faith, trust and prayer. This IS a battle….a battle for the hearts and minds of God’s children. The analogy is portrayed in the book of Ephesians. Jesus said ‘have you not read?’

I believe the world is in the greatest spiritual battle of my lifetime. I pray believers will wake up out of their apathy and engage in spiritual warfare, putting on the armor of God and taking a stand for righteousness! Saying and doing nothing is the same as participating in the evil pervading our nation and world. The Old Testament is our history lesson.

My Bible study lesson for this week is the Mary and Martha story! My Heavenly Father is being sure I get the message in multiple ways I guess. This was such a relevant and encouraging word – thank you. The marine’s story analogy is so apt, for indeed “His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and goodness.” (2 Peter 1:3) God has given us His “full armor” detailed in Ephesians 6 – we just have to put it on and keep it on. We are told to put on the full armor of God so that we will be able to stand and then we are told “And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.” Those are our marching orders – armor up and PRAY. Ours is to be obedient in preparation, like Noah, but it is God who brings about His desired result. I need to be laying up treasures in heaven rather than stockpiling stuff here on earth. You are so right – God has given us everything we need, we just need to avail ourselves of His provision, (keep those helmets (of salvation) on and don’t lose our grip on our God given weapon, the sword of the Spirit) We are to be about His business rather than our own. “Sitting at His feet” is not idleness but the most necessary, intense preparation that we can be doing. May He find me faithfully pursuing Him today, tomorrow, and everyday until He comes again. http://www.mtothe5th.wordpress.com

Then the angel of the LORD came and sat under the oak that was in Ophrah, which belonged to Joash the Abiezrite as his son Gideon was beating the wheat in the wine press in order to save it from the Midianites. The angel of the LORD appeared to him and said, “The LORD is with you, valiant warrior.”
Judges 6:11-12.

Father God, Divine Avenger, Great Strategist: Thank You for Your overwatch, being involved in and orchestrating Your will on Earth. You have no equal, nothing compares to Your Trinity . Your valiant warriors are expecting great movement in many matters of this age.

As in 1 Maccabee 3:1: “And his son Judas, who was called Maccabeus, rose up in his place.“.

”And he prepared himself.”
‭‭1 Maccabees‬ ‭3‬:‭15‬ ‭in part

”But when they saw the army coming to meet them, they said to Judas, “How will we few be able to fight against so great and so strong a multitude, even though we are weakened by fasting today?” And Judas said: “It is easy for many to be enclosed in the hands of a few, for there is no difference in the sight of the God of heaven to liberate by means of many, or by means of few. For victory in warfare is not in the multitude of the army, but in the strength from heaven.“
‭‭1 Maccabees‬ ‭3‬:‭17‬-‭19‬ ‭

In Your name, Jesus, we go against this multitude of those who are trampling on Your Word, knowing that the triumphing of the wicked is short and the joy of the hypocrit but for a moment.

Captain of the Armies of Heaven, with the Angel of the LORD who took stand in the way as an adversary against evil, I/we stand. We stand ready in prayer, petition, praise and battle as these matters are resolved with Your will.

… but the wicked will be cut off from the land, and the unfaithful will be torn from it. Proverbs 2:22.

For Your Glory Elohim, God Mighty Creator. I bring this to You in Jesus Mighty Name and with the Holy Spirit’s leading.

Amen.

Isn’t this a state we should always be in? Preparation, hearing God’s voice, praying, memorizing scripture., going. Shouldn’t we already have been sitting at his feet and partaking in the best part?? We’ve had it easy in the US yet our brothers and sisters around the world have had to live in a state of alertness daily because the danger is real. It is Luke 10 not 8❤️
I also heard the Holy Spirit speak before the
“Plandemic” He said, “memorize”. I had no idea how important this would be to me as I memorized scripture versus He brought to me. Some I knew, some I had never memorized. Every one of them helped me during the shutdown. When others were scared, mad, etc. I had peace and the verses continue to stay with me today and I continue to have that piece!
