I Prayed have prayed
Lord, we pray for the divided church. We pray unity among all denominations in the Christian church. We pray that unbelievers would know us by our unity with one another and where we stand on moral issues.

Sixty Catholic Democrats in Congress have written an open “Statement of Principles” explaining why the Catholic Church should not deny Holy Communion to professed Catholics who promote abortion.

The open letter was published online on June 18 to coincide with the June meeting of the U.S. bishops, who discussed, among other things, the question of “Eucharistic coherence” and conditions under which a Catholic should not present himself to receive Holy Communion.

“As legislators in the U.S. House of Representatives, we work every day to advance respect for life and the dignity of every human being,” the letter states.

The representatives declare that “the weaponization of the Eucharist to Democratic lawmakers for their support of a woman’s safe and legal access to abortion is contradictory.”

The Catholic Church has consistently taught that taking an innocent human life in abortion is always gravely evil.

The Catechism of the Catholic Church states, “From the first moment of his existence, a human being must be recognized as having the rights of a person — among which is the inviolable right of every innocent being to life.”

Abortion “is gravely contrary to the moral law,” the Catechism declares, and, therefore, a person who procures an abortion incurs ex-communication from the Church “by the very commission of the offense.”

For his part, Saint John Paul II wrote that “direct abortion, that is, abortion willed as an end or as a means, always constitutes a grave moral disorder, since it is the deliberate killing of an innocent human being.”

The U.S. bishops’ Faithful Citizenship letter, a “teaching document on the political responsibility of Catholics,” underscores the evil of abortion, suggesting it is not “just another issue” to be weighed against prudential matters such as immigration laws or a carbon tax, but stands out as a singularly weighty moral issue.

“The threat of abortion remains our preeminent priority because it directly attacks life itself, because it takes place within the sanctuary of the family, and because of the number of lives destroyed,” the bishops declared in the letter.

In their June 18 letter, the Catholic Democrats insisted they “seek the Church’s guidance and assistance but believe also in the primacy of conscience.” . . .

My mother was extremely Catholic. When she had been a widow six years she became pregnant with me. It was scandalous behavior for a single Catholic woman at that time and something she wanted kept secret. She told me at least a thousand times that if abortion were legal in ’55 that I wouldn’t be here. No one would know her secret. I was conceived 15 years too soon. When I was the same age my mother was when she conceived me at the age of 36, one day I was in prayer and had a vision. The vision showed my mother walking in a beautiful park contemplating her upcoming illegal abortion arranged by a doctor friend. God told her not to have an abortion. Days later I told my mother about my vision and she said that I even described the clothing she was wearing correctly. God can and does move on Catholics. God spoke to my Catholic mother and she did the right thing because of it. The Bible tells me that God is no respecter of persons. If God could touch my mother’s heart, feeling totally humiliated and embarrassed to be in the situation she was in, then He can move on the hearts of other Catholics. My prayer is that Catholics in political and religious power will take the moral high ground and oppose abortion. God does not lie. If he told my mother not to have an abortion he is not telling other Catholics that abortion is morally right. They are just not listening. I pray they listen. For me this is personal because it was and is a matter of life or death.

Prayer} Father God I thank you for my life. Move within the Catholic Church. Let them see the blood they have on their hands. Just like the vision I had, let them in a vision and see that they have innocent blood on their hands. Lord, make spiritually blind eyes see. Move on the proud hearts of politicians to see the error of their ways. Let evil not be called good. Let death not be called choice. I pray for a mighty move of God within the Catholic church. I love you Lord Jesus and pray this in your holy name. Amen.

God has blessed you mightily Rosalie,I thank our Father for your life as well! In reading this article, I remembered Jesus’ words. He said, we must give an account on Judgment Day for every idle word we speak. On that day, how will they account for a desire to change the Word of God? We will all stand before our Creator on that day, but today may He have mercy on these voiceless tiny victims, just as He did on you. You are the beautiful work of our Father!

Not only should the Roman Catholic church deny communion to Biden, it ought to deny it to the 60 Congressmen who signed this nonsensical letter. At what point does the supremacy of Scripture make a difference to these people? If killing one of ‘the least of these’ created in God’s image is OK with you, possibly the Holy Spirit has not taken up residence in you, and you are not Christian after all. A horrifying thought. The presence of the Holy Spirit will produce a certain type of person, albeit with flaws. But these people are suggesting they can soberly call themselves ‘Christian’ when 63 million precious babies have been murdered in their mothers’ wombs? And they are OK with that? Catholic church, keep your spine and kick them all out.

I pray the Catholic Church leadership will not buckle under the immoral pressures of immoral people who parade as do-gooders. Satan is a wolf in sheep’s clothing…he comes only to steal, kill and destroy (babies) and every moral conscience he can to champion and carry out his agendas…to try to usurp God’s plan in Jesus Christ to bring abundant life and destroy Satan’s power over people…which he cannot ultimately usurp God but this does not stop him from doing as much damage, destruction to people he can get away with by pulling the wool over their eyes so they do not recognize what danger they put themselves in.
