Afghanistan’s last remaining Jew, Zabulon Simantov, has decided to remain in Afghanistan despite the Taliban’s takeover due to his refusal to give his estranged wife a get, a Jewish divorce document, according to Makor Rishon…
“…If I had left, there would have been no one to maintain the synagogue,” he said.
Simantov…had previously stated he was planning to leave during the High Holy Day season…
Business Moti Kahana offered to fund a private airplane to take Simantov to Israel, an offer the Afghan Jew initially accepted. Security guards filmed Simantov reading the “Tefilat Haderech” prayer, the prayer read before traveling…

Father, reveal Your Son, the Messiah, the Lord Jesus Christ, to this precious man, Zabulon Simantov.
I pray that the Jews get the synagogue’s Torah back scribed in the 15th century, that the Taliban stole and sold on the black market according to this article. I pray that this man will follow God’s orders for him and his wife in Jesus mighty name.
Father, the time is NOW that You are regathering Your people! You are sending fishers and hunters to bring them to Israel, for the glory of Your name.
