I Prayed have prayed
Lord, we lift up Senator Fetterman and Senator Feinstein before you. Heal them, God, and use their temporary absences to promote bipartisan, aisle-crossing efforts in our Senate.
Reading Time: 2 minutes

Although we may not agree with them on everything, we should pray for healing for all those currently absent from the Senate. Your will be done, Father!

From The Hill. Absences in the Senate are becoming an issue for Democrats, leaving them with a fragile majority.

Senate Democrats have been without Sens. John Fetterman (Pa.) and Dianne Feinstein (Calif.) in recent weeks, creating a 49-49 split in the chamber that has forced members of the conference to only bring up votes that they know have bipartisan support and caused problems at the committee level.

“It’s the reality. When you’re 51-49, every senator every day is decisive,” Sen. Dick Durbin (Ill.), the No. 2 Senate Democrat, told The Hill. “This is the reality of life in the Senate.”

Fetterman has been out for much of the past month after checking himself into Walter Reed National Military Medical Center for treatment for clinical depression. Though his office has tweeted pictures of him meeting with staff at the hospital and said he is engaged on a number of legislative items, including rail safety and the farm bill, he is not expected back in the Senate this week.

Feinstein, 89, is recovering at home from a case of shingles, having missed the last two weeks of votes. The California Democrat, who is the oldest sitting U.S. senator, tweeted last week that she was continuing to receive treatment and was hoping to return to Washington “as soon as possible.” …

Feinstein’s absence, in particular, has had an outsized impact as the Senate Judiciary Committee, on which she serves, has been forced to punt votes on a number of nominees in each of the past two weeks and been unable to put them on a path toward votes on the Senate floor. …

Feinstein is expected to return to work later this month.

“Does it create challenges? It absolutely does. Does it slow the process down? Sometimes,” Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.), a Judiciary Committee member, told The Hill. “But we’re all human beings and these are the times you have to take those things into account and give as much leniency as you can. … It happens on both sides of the aisle.”

Indeed, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) was hospitalized Wednesday night after falling and treated for a concussion. It is unclear when he will return to the Capitol.

And absences are nothing new for Democrats. Two members last year — Sens. Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.) and Ben Ray Luján (D-N.M.) — suffered strokes in early 2022, forcing the party to manage without them for a time. Sen. Bob Casey (D-Pa.) was out for just under two weeks earlier this year to be treated for prostate cancer. …

I think it’s interesting that it’s several Democrats and a RINO who are out sick. These individuals have opposed God’s righteousness and justice. Isn’t there a time where we can just pray for them to be removed? May they see the error of their ways and repent. May God grant them repentance unto salvation. And may their positions be filled with true patriots who follow the Lord.

Lord I pray for them for the opportunity to receive You apart from the influence of the enemy, for Your lovingkindness that leads them to repentance, and for healing of the body, soul, and spirit. But if they will not turn to You, or stand for righteousness in their positions then I ask that you replace them with those who will honor You. Proverbs 29:2: “When the the righteous are in authority the people rejoice: But when the wicked rule the people groan.” I humbly ask You for righteous leaders that the people rejoice. Amen.

Dear Lord, You have given scripture in Matt 5:44 where Jesus says “But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of Your Father in heaven.” Therefore, I lift up Senators Feinstein, Fetterman and McConnell to You for healing which only You can fully complete, both physically and spiritually. I thank You Father that You are always at work and continue to meet our every need. Through this time which You appointed, bring forth Your perfect plan. Thank You that Your ways are higher than our ways and help us to align with You, so that Your will would be made complete. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Perhaps this is how things are meant to happen. Perhaps the Dems are reaping what they have sown. That said, I pray for the Senators- Fetterman, Feinstein, and McConnell who are absent from the Senate due to health issues. Please heal them quickly, Lord, and return them to their jobs, so that they can carry out their duties. In Jesus’ name.

Now that we know that senators are absent, we can pray for their healing or their retirement and their stepping down and allowing someone without health issues to take their seat! Mr. Fetterman should not be in the senate after his stroke(s)! Let’s not pretend that we didn’t see the debates when he was not yet healed and was unable to comprehend what was going on around him. FATHER GOD please totally heal all of the senators that are missing work in JESUS NAME! Amen!

Lord, I thank you for the Revival that is happening. I Pray that it will infiltrate into the hearts and minds of all of the legislators in Washington DC in both parties.. as there is little distinction between the character or integrity..generally speaking-, of either assembly. Whether or not some are absent or not..what is much more important is the repentance of the entire body-, and Lord I pray that you could orchestrate continually in the wake of our current Revival-, the raising of-,as rapidly as possible- of Citizen legislator activists.. that we can be the self-governing nation our Founders intended
In Jesus Mighty name, Amen

These two have actually died, you don’t know what’s really going on, Feinstein they will parade out a double or someone (actor?) with a mask. We live in a world of unimaginable deceptive illusions and evil.

Dear God, please use this need to pray for the absent Senators to bring many of us back to Paul’s urging to pray for those in authority, which he said should have top priority. Lead more of us to do so on a more regular basis so that You can keep Your promise “… that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.”
