A CITY ON THEIR KNEES: 16,000 UNITE TO PRAY ABOUT THE UNREST
A total of 135 churches participated with almost 16,000 people hitting the sidewalks, parks, and other public places simply to pray for their city.
Miles McPherson, senior pastor of San Diego’s Rock Church highlighted the huge turnout at the rally last weekend. McPherson says between the pandemic and protests, the city has been hit hard, like many others across the nation.
“God can heal all of the unrest, he can bring good out of evil and good out of pain. We’re going to see, I believe, a transformation of San Diego and our country as we go through this,” McPherson said.
People could be seen in seven different prayer sites bowing their heads and lifting their hands in prayer, crying out to God for their city.
McPherson says he believes they are going to see the fruit of this prayer effort in the days and weeks to come across the city in people’s lives and hearts. “I know that God always hears our cries, and I can’t wait to hear what God has done, not only in people’s hearts, but in families and businesses, in people’s health and relationships,” he said. “I believe over the next days and weeks and months we’re gonna see the fruit of what happened today.”
Among those who joined in: city leaders, a US representative, congressman, county supervisors, mayors, council members, and another 8,600 joined online through social media.
What happened in San Diego is just one example of Christians rising up to fight a spiritual battle during these turbulent times. As CBN News has reported, a revival has been taking place in the streets of Minneapolis where countless souls have found peace and healing in Christ.
And in Atlanta, thousands of Christians recently came together peacefully on Juneteenth to reject racism and pray together during the OneRace Movement’s “March on Atlanta“.

Forgive me, I did not give the name of the man who gave his life to save so many: Telemachus. Google and you will get the story as well as the fact that the Catholic Church, made him a Saint. One time I agree fully with the process. God bless his memory. When I get to heaven he is high on my list. Praying in Thanksgiving for such courage…needed today.

Dear Friends in the Fellowship of our Savior Jesus Christ,
Yes, this is THE WAY, THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE. I visited the great Flavian Amphitheater or Colosseum in Rome years ago. The guide, reached down and took a handful of earth and let it run through his hands saying, “It is all washed in blood.” Yes, thousands of Christians died there, fed to lions and every kind of evil possible UNTIL one man, an old man came to Rome. He head the voices behind the great wall. He found an entrance and went in. He saw the young men killing each other with swords and spears for the moment until only one stood and he received a woven crown of vine from the Emperor. He slid down the wall and ran as fast as his old legs would take him. “Stop this!” he cried, standing between them. They knocked him aside and continued the fight. Again he took the arm of one who turned and with sword, struck him with a death blow.
As he lay dying…blood spurting out with the last drops of blood on the white sand. One by one, people began to leave, slowly then more until only the Emporium and the guards remained. The great scholar and historian
H. G. Wells writes: “This is the last day this and other such were fought in Rome.” If we are such as he, we will see the revival…and peace again. That is the question…are we willing to give our all…now!
Thank You, Lord, for showing us Revival has come to America. Thank You for answering our prayers, Lord.
You will, “never leave us, or forsake us”. Thank You for allowing us to see Your calling many to follow Jesus as Savior. In His Name, Amen
Right now it seems the best way to get the truth out there is to use the same platform those who seek to destroy our country are using, namely, social media. I would encourage all of you to share all of these stories on your social media accounts. Let’s flood them with showing how Satan May be on the move but God is also and will listen when His people pray.
Blessings,
Jennifer
One scripture that comes to my mind when praying is the woman that went to court, to the unjust judge. Over & over again she went. This judge had no regard for God or man. But for that woman, I will answer because of her persistence. She knew if she was to get an answer to her problem was to be persistent to the Judge. How much more will your heavenly Father answer you. & your advocate (Jesus Christ) the righteous one. We can not fit Jesus into our busy Life, He is to become our life & everything else fits in his order. Father God this is our cry daily in Jesus’s name Amen.
remember in any courtroom you have two sides to argues side. You vs. your enemy.
So encouraging! Praying for this to go “viral” throuout the Church. Even the idea of Gods people praying becoming “viral” is exciting. Wow!
How encouraging to see people kneeling, only this time it’s before the Lord. Praying for this to spread across the entire country like a wildfire. Lord, pour out Your Spirit, like a flammable liquid, igniting the flames of revival in America and spreading throughout the world. In Your name we pray. Amen
