Former President and Republican nominee Donald Trump was delayed from speaking in Nashville on Saturday at Secret Service agents managed a “security lapse,” according to the New York Post.

Although nothing came of this event, it comes only a few weeks after a gunman attempted to assassinate Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania. At the same time, one Secret Service whistleblower is warning that we will see several more assassination attempts before November barring serious changes.

With so much tension and uncertainty in our nation, people are understandably scared. The situation feels hopeless for many. As intercessors, however, we know that we can always have hope in an unfailing, all-powerful God.

So how should we pray?

One intercessor shared four prayer points with us. We’d like to share them with you now, and we encourage you to read through them as you intercede for America.

• Please pray for the perpetrators to be discovered and the danger they pose to our Republic.
• Please pray for protection for all the past & present candidates in this race.  There may be a “false flag” attempt on a Democrat, blamed falsely on Mr. Trump’s supporters.  Riots, martial law, and gun confiscation are possible dangers to pray against.
• Please pray for our nation’s protection. China, Russia and others may take advantage of weak leadership and uncertain control over the nuclear briefcase controlling our nuclear response capabilities. We are in a dangerous period from now till inauguration day.
• Please lead prayers against any disruptions to the election this November, and for the votes to be counted fairly.
