I Prayed have prayed
Heavenly Father, we lift up the Christians in China. We pray that they would claim even more of their country as apart of Your Kingdom.

From Voice of the Martyrs: China’s Communist government has been preparing for months to ensure that its nation puts on its best face for the XXIV Olympic Winter Games. They’ve made every effort to make sure your TV screen is filled with beautiful images, majestic music and inspiring athletic performances.
They don’t want you to look behind the scenes at the totalitarian government oppressing and abusing its own people, including our Christian brothers and sisters. Olympic coverage won’t include images of destroyed church buildings or interviews with imprisoned Christians like Pastor Wang Yi.

While China’s government will use the Olympic Games for propaganda, Christians around the world will use them in a different way, as a daily reminder to pray for Christians in China. Click the link below to add your name to those who have committed to pray for persecuted Christians in China each day during the Winter Olympic Games, which begin on Feb. 4.

May the Holy Spirit open blind eyes and hearts in China during these olympic games as many Christians from around the world pray in secret to the Lord Jesus Christ who works in mysterious ways to bring about His purposes in this world. May God strengthen the persecuted church in China and advance His kingdom. His Word never returns void but will accomplish its purpose. Until His return.

My prayers are lifted to him, humbly asking for his protection and blessing other for our athletes, the many Chinese people that follow Christ even to their peril, the Uighur’s and all the many other people that suffer under this brutal and oppressive regime.

3,800 views and 780 prayers, what are the other people doing, are they just reading these articles to gather information? For good purposes, or for evil? Examine yourselves, and take the time to bring these heavy issues before The Throne of The God of The Universe.

Pray for sure. But I discourage anyone from watching because all “watching is tracked” through btv, smartphones or internet. And watching is a form of endorsement – which is exactly what the CCP wants as do all companies that have bought airtime. We can support our athletes through prayer.

May the Gospel that has the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes go forth into this Nation and do the work it will do, by HIs Spirit. The Name of the Lord will be Glorified.

I wish every American could read the writings of Pastor and Sabina Wurmbrand, who were imprisoned by the Communist in Romania in the 40’s and 50’s. They loved the Communists, but hated the cruelty and Godlessness promoted by Communist doctrine. I am praying no one will be
deceived into thinking that China’s Communism is a good or beautiful thing as they watch the Games. I am praying for the Underground Christian Church of China. They desperately need our prayers. I pray the Holy Spirit will stir the hearts of all the athletes, and all involved in the Games, to see Jesus.

How true that appearances can be deceiving. The perception that China will put forth to the world is not the reality that their millions of oppressed people, particularly Christians but other groups too, live every day. It is a privilege to pray for all the Christians living in China, their faith truly is costly to them and therefore very precious. We could learn much from them. I know I am ashamed to admit that over the years have I taken my faith for granted? I can go to church openly, without fear of being put in jail. I can go to a bible study in a restaurant even and not be arrested. We can still pray in public, at least for now. Having access to a bible – do I take that for granted? How precious is God’s Word! Lord, prayers of protection and blessings for Your children in China who serve You at great cost to themselves. Their faith truly costs them everything. I think of King David who said, “I will not give to the Lord an offering that costs me nothing.” How truly blessed I am to live in this free country! May I not take her for granted either but defend her against those who would destroy her from within. http://www.mtothe5th.wordpress.com

Thank you for the great article. Yes. Also, another big concern to me is that in a part of China , their government has put three cities on lockdown that are experiencing hemmorhagic fever -the Mahberg virus . This is a serious plague. So why would the Olympics panel hold the games in China -especially since they helped infect the world with the Wuhan virus and weren’t honest about the transmissibility of the virus ? We definitely need to pray that this virus in this part of China is contained and doesn’t not spread to all of the people attending the Olympics.
