I Prayed have prayed
Lord, we pray against any backlash or schemes of the enemy to reverse the work you have done. We ask that you thwart his plans at every turn and give intercessors the insight and perseverance to continue praying.
Reading Time: 3 minutes

An unholy alarm went off throughout all the kingdom of darkness this week. Many Americans were surprised to learn that not only had Texas passed a law that banned roughly 85% of abortions, but also that the Supreme Court allowed it to happen.

Christians around the country rejoiced. The principalities, powers, and evil one himself are undoubtedly enraged. These demonic forces have used abortion to sear the conscience of the country and to open spiritual doors to all kinds of death and destruction.

It may be tempting to think the battle is won, but I fear that kind of thinking will actually ensure that it is lost.

Insider Intercessory Intelligence

I can tell you firsthand that much of the church in Washington was surprised by this pro-life development. That which so many have prayed for for so long seems to have materialized, but we have been caught unawares. Unfortunately, my sense is that so much of the intercessory community is exhausted or distracted by COVID and Afghanistan, that they feel unable to take on this new fight.

But the backlash and fury of the enemy will be fierce. We see in Scripture that the enemy loves to steal and kill things that appear to flourish at first. Of the four soils in Jesus’ famed parable, we see that three of them were prematurely destroyed before the full fruit could come forth.

Then he told them many things in parables, saying: “A farmer went out to sow his seed. As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root. Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants. (Mt 13:3-7)

Things may start well at first, but die in the end.

Lord, may these wiles not steal your latest pro-life victory.

I spoke with the owner of a federal government contracting firm in the Washington, D.C. area about this development. This source is also an intercessor who has tracked the pro-life prayer movement for years who affirmed that this Supreme Court victory is part of a much larger, intense battle that is far from over.

“This really is just the beginning honestly,” my source said. “There is definitely going to be an extended battle over this. It’s definitely a massive step forward, but we’re not just going to dust our hands and say ‘well it’s over.’ But I have the sense that some people are going to be doing that.

“We don’t know what the court is going to be like in a decade,” the source added.

This D.C. area resident also pointed out that the Supreme Court is not the only battlefield on this issue.

“We also have a bad habit of solely relying on the courts. Just because it’s banned, abortion is still going to happen. We still need to address family issues in communities.”

The battle is longer, and the battlefield broader, than we may have previously thought.

This article is a call to not put down your weapons. Do not grow weary. Do not declare victory prematurely. The tide of the battle has been turned, but it is far from over.

The enemy will now redouble his fervor on this issue.

Will you?

With that in mind, let us pray.

-Father, we ask that you strengthen the Christians of this country to continue praying and fighting for an end to abortion, that the innocent bloodshed would finally come to an end and those called to fight for life would not give up or be deceived into thinking the battle is over.

-Lord, we pray against any backlash or schemes of the enemy to reverse the work you have done. We ask that you thwart his plans at every turn and give intercessors the insight and perseverance to continue praying.

-Father, we ask that you would help the struggling mothers who are faced with unwanted pregnancies. Thank you for providing for them as a good Father, giving them thee courage to keep their child, and bringing your people to help them through the process.

Verses to press into as you intercede on this issue:

Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. (Eph 5:11)

But we do not belong to those who shrink back and are destroyed, but to those who have faith and are saved. (Heb 10:39)

His intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms, according to his eternal purpose that he accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord.  (Eph 3:10-11)

I am asking IFA to pray about shifting your focus to hold the fathers ultimately responsible for the lives of these precious babies. The Biblical hierarchy is that men are supposed to love and protect women but even the Christian community rarely mentions their responsibility.

Lord we know that this battle is constant. It has never let up and there isn’t much rest. We rest in the truth that we are on the winning side and that we are doing what you want us to.
We see, Lord, the enemy of all mankind continuing his deceitful assault on the innocent and those already born. We recently saw the enemy Satan deceive more men, women and falsely named health care “givers” in Fort Worth at the deceptively named Whole Women’s health clinic. Lord, it grieves and shakes us to our core that this clinic murdered 70 children in 17 hours before the new TX law went into effect. It saddens us beyond belief that they bragged about it. God we ask forgiveness and mercy on their behalf and we ask that you would deal with the coldness of their hearts and minds. We pray you would bring perfect justice for the innocent children who had their lives taken from them. God pursue those who willingly or unwillingly participated in this pit of hell act and reveal yourself to them. And we pray that You would shutter that clinic permanently.
Continue to strengthen and give wisdom to those fighting this front line battle – especially give strength, wisdom and favor to any government officials standing up for and fighting to defend innocent unborn lives. We ask that you would remove all protection, finances and anything that comes from you for those who are pro-abortion. Let confusion and instability be ever present in the lives of any officials who support the killing of innocent children. Amen.

I was just thinking about the gruesome and heartwrenching tragedy of the infants who died in the most horrible way in afgan, and then, when i read your prayer, i thought(holy spirit?) that our only consolation, not to minimize it..is that these precious babies will be in heaven for eternity.

also, the point of it being ongoing battle ,as Im considering the responsibility,is the hallmark,so to speak,or mantle,of a battle.. warriors are in battle for long era’s, or; long times, historically. The idea of short quick battles as I understand it- is actually more of a part of our modern world. (Remember how evil the evil one is..)
Again, this is not to glorify battle, however to underline the intense reality of it. Also ,it seems noteworthy to remember that we are all a team,..in the war together,so I know I personally have to fight the tendency to get stressed out thinking,” im doing this (all by) myself”..even though in my rational mind/self i know that is ridiculous..I am not god-( whew!!)but that is the fleshly tendency ,in some..so when one gets..to be ..low on energy, lets say,the others are still at the front lines. Praise God in Heaven..!!!

You’re right Herb. We will see them in heaven. That is truthful consolation. And battle weariness affects all of us. In America, we have not known the type of spiritual battle we are seeing today. But God is teaching the body of Christ many things right now and one of the most critical elements is that war isn’t easy, it’s wearing (regardless of what anyone says) and that we only look back in order to learn what we should or should not do.
Amen and thanks for your comments.

Thank you CN ,..I do get over stressed and battle weary,as i know many of us do..,,even yesterday accepting an offer from an online friend made last year to go out with her husband and her to protest the communist city leaders in L.A.- in residential neighborhoods,..only unlike the enemy “groups”- it of course will be peaceful and constructive, even c, constructively conversing with police who only want to do their jobs,(although,my activist freinds are discovering that many “public servants” have been coerced into taking bribes,so therefore having
lost their objective integrity)so it will; get even more stressful..so your kind words are even more greatly appreciated

Guilty of my own view like Peter at times as well, and even though Peter denied Christ, i have taken comfort in the rest of Peter’s story, that he jumped out of the boat and was the only one ever recorded to have walked on water like Jesus did! Even if only for a few steps while he kept his eyes on Christ, he did it! Then had the common sense to call out to Jesus as he began sinking! It is recorded after that, that all on the boat worshiped and believed that Jesus was truly the son of God, as if there had been doubt prior. (LORD, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.” 29″Come,” he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. 30But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “LORD, save me!” 31Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?” 32And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down. 33Then those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, “Truly you are the Son of God.”)

Let us also remember that though he was at times impetuous, Peter was one of a select few Jesus took with him up the mount of configuration, and to view certain miracles, it was usually Peter, James, and John. Peter was also the first of the original 12 to see Christ risen, and the first to speak out after the Pentecost infilling under an anointing that saved about 3000!

Acts says all who received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

So Father, in Jesus name, though i can’t truly compare myself with Peter, as He walked so closely with Jesus in the flesh, i take comfort in his final out comes, and i rest in faith knowing that if you can keep and strengthen Peter to accomplish so much in your name, writing epistles, performing miracles, speaking anointed sermons that saved multitudes, you can fo it through Susan and me, and we pray that you would. Remove all hinderances that have kept us back and help grow our “little faith” so that we can continue walking toward you confidently despite all the winds and waves that might try to frighten us. We ask you for it and believe you for it knowing your word says we are more than conquerors, innJesus name.

Thank you for reminding us of this great hymn.
    Our Father,
I bless all the faithful saints who have and will pray, administer this effort, give funds and minister in this great cause. Thanksgiving for the victories and even more as we bless the Lord in this just cause.
I am reminded of another hymn by Isaac Watts, Am I a Soldier of the Cross, which includes these verses:
Am I a soldier of the cross, A follow’r of the Lamb? And shall I fear to own His cause,
Or blush to speak His name?
Sure I must fight if I would reign; Increase my courage, Lord; I’ll bear the toil, endure the pain,
    Supported by Thy Word.
Thy saints in all this glorious war, shall conquer, though they die; they see the triumph from afar,
    By faith’s discerning eye.
When that illustrious day shall rise, and all Thy armies shine in robes of vict’ry through the skies,
    The glory shall be Thine.
I encourage everyone with the truth that Lord Sabaoth commands the hosts of heaven. It is breathtaking as to HIS resources and weaponry for this struggle. Blessed be HIS NAME.
His strength and provision to all his “troops”. The battle belongs to the Lord!
In Jesus mighty authority and provision we stand. Amen

Praise God for this victory! I agree, we need to remain vigilant in our prayer intercession where the abortion issue is concerned. Complacency is not an option. That being said, I cannot concern myself about what may or may not happen ten years down the road. Who knows if we will still even be here on Earth? We don’t, but Almighty God knows. We need to be sensitive to Holy Spirit guiding and directing us in our intercession. Right now, we can be grateful for the move of God in this awful aspect of societal behavior. Tomorrow will have enough troubles of its own to pray about and intercede for.

We give thanks to the Lord for men of faith and integrity, willing to stand up for the rights of the unborn. May all people realize that we have to continually pray for an end to the persecution of the unborn. We fight battle on foreign soil to protect the rights of all people; we lose many of our soldiers who give their lives to protect the freedoms of people in the world, while right here in our own world we slaughter the unborn. Life begins at conception, through the act of a mighty God who allowed us to participate in creation. We should treasure this miracle that occurs daily. How many barren women would welcome the chance to hold one of these aborted fetuses in her hands. WE PRAY FOR STATES TO CONTINUE TO PASS LAWS TO PROTECT LIFE, ALL LIFE.

Father i thank you in the name of Jesus for leadership at IFA, National and World Leaders like Donald And Melania Trump, politicians, legislators, and Religious leaders too many to mention by name from all God-fearing
denominations, who are willing to stand up publicly to oppose the Goliaths of abortion. Bless the people who have been willing to risk their careers and
reputations to oppose the giants and stand for righteousness. Father may you unite us all in this one purpose to overcome all laws protecting abortion, even as the people united at Babel to do an unrighteous thing and you said nothing will be impossible to them, may we unite in you to do a RIGHTEOUS thing in praying down abortion once for all to an absolute end of it, and end of killing all innocents through abortion, human sacrifice, child abuse, and human trafficking, may you assist us in this prayer effort through the promised intercessory help of the Holy Sprit, moving through all our united hearts, with Your WORD, YOUR power, YOUR overcoming spirit of Christ, to the complete pulling down and dismantling of all these strong holds against the innocents, as we stand on YOUR word (2 Corinthians 10:4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
Father we ask that your prayers through us, and declaration of your word, standing in the finished work of Jesus Christ who overcame all principalities and powers and made a public spectacle of them, would manifest that ultimate spiritual authority and victory in our natural human realm in our day overcoming all flesh who are opposed to your word regarding the slaughter of the innocents:
(KJV Colossians 2:15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
NkJ: Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.)

Thank you Father God, thank you Jesus, we pray that through our prayers and obedience you raise up all whom you have anointed to finish the work, even as all prayed over the rebuilding of the walls of Jerusalem, but specific people performed the physical labor. Father we pray the tearing down of all the idols in our nation and rebuild all the walls of righteousness in the United States, to an end of all the moral filth and compromise in every entertainment industry, music, tv, literature, Father send your hornets to drive out all enemies of our nation even as you promised Israel to send hornets before them to drive out their enemies,
(Exodous 23:28)
And I will send hornets before thee, which shall drive out the Hivite, the Canaanite, and the Hittite, from before thee. in Jesus name, we thank you and receive all these things.

Jesus said:
1. The work of God is to believe the One He has sent.
2. I came down from Heaven not to do My will but to do the will of God, who sent Me.
3. The will of Him who sent Me, is that I shall lose none of those He has given Me, but raise them up at the last day

These statements were made shortly after the disciples SAW:
1. Jesus heal a 38 year old man who had been lame since birth
2. feed 5,000 from 5 loaves of bread and 2 fish
3. walk on water

I love You Abba Father. Thank you Jesus for enabling us to be a children of God. Thank You for The Word, where we can read how You demonstrated the Will of Your Father throughout Your time on earth in the flesh. Thank You for Your protection of each life, conceived now and in the future, which YOU FEARFULLY and WONDERFULLY MADE. I pray a yes and Amen to each prayer and ask that the “unholy alarm” be in reality, abortion’s Death Knell. I believe Your Son, my Savior, “What is impossible with man is possible with God.” May we see Your will on earth as it is in Heaven. Help us Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Amen

    Great scriptures
Susan, i feel the verse about the man born blind is an example of sadly many believers who were not given the TRUE & FULL Gospel of Jesus Christ and were not taught the importance of God’s Word or were but did not continue on in the Word and who therefore have been blind since birth, and many who were raised in
legalistic pharisaical Christian denominations who need the scales removed from their eyes like Paul.

Father we pray for all the believers who have been blind since birth, and all with spiritual scales on their eyes like Paul had, may you open and heal all
believers spiritual eyes like you opened
physical eyes of the blind when you walked the earth, and removed the scales from Paul’s eyes, give all who need a Damascus road
experience exactly what they need to knock them off the horses of legalism and pharisaical faith, oh
Jesus what a world this would be when “all in the church who sought your salvation all who are called by your name” are healed of all their spiritual diseases, that you would open all ears of “all these” to hear your voice loud and clear, and give them the moral inner conviction and inner strength to obey you, that you would open eyes of “all these” to see and discern accurately in the spiritual realm, and heal “all these” spiritually lame and infirm that they may walk with strength and wisdom, and even run, Jesus cast all evil unclean spirits out of “all these”, calm all the storms of wickedness around “all these”, and let your church emerge completely new, the new creation, the one new man, whole, healed, strong, beautiful, pure, sanctified, holy, with your seven spirits. Father God when you brought your people out of Egypt there were no sick among them and you promised to keep them healthy if they obeyed your commands.
Father do the same today in your church raise up true apostles to disciple all, heal all, instruct all, bring your believers together through a complete spiritual Exodous driving out all the enemies our nation and our religious freedoms to worship you in spirit and truth, a true modern day Pentecostal-church, in Jesus name we receive it and thank you for it.

Victoria, thank you for your thoughtful words. I am going to add a few more…May God bless the unborn and all who fight for their lives, in ways we cannot even fathom!

After Jesus told His disciples how much suffering He would endure at the hands of the “righteous leaders” of Jerusalem, Peter rebuked Him. Jesus turned His back on Peter and said, “Get behind me, Satan! You are an obstacle in my path, because your thinking is from a human perspective, not from God’s perspective!” https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew+16%3A21-23&version=CJB

I tend to have difficulty expressing my thoughts and prayers but this is it in a nutshell. I want God’s view, not my own. I appreciate your comment about Jesus healing the blind. As I rode my bike this morning I prayed He would show me how HE sees me and give me His vision for my service. I tend to be like Peter, looking at things from my point of view.

The Lord reminded me that Jesus IS a miracle worker, He loves the little children, He was The Messiah as The Spirit brooded over chaos and He was The Messiah in the womb. In the womb, John jumped for joy as Mary came near. Even as an unborn child, he recognized his Messiah!

Father, I pray You deal with those who have anything to do with abortion. For those fighting to defend the unborn, favor and authority. For those who support, Divine judgement. Thank you Jesus Christ, “You are the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.” Amen

Like so many of you, I have been praying for the justices of the Supreme Court for decades. It’s tempting to fall into discouragement. Bur we will NOT give up. Holy Father, I lift Chief Justice John Roberts and Justice Sonya Sotomayor before Your throne of grace and ask, that in Your mercy, You would open the eyes of their understanding to the truth about abortion and the truth about gender and give them the courage to judge rightly. I pray that You would give each Justice an opportunity to view a live ultrasound of a child in the womb at 15 weeks that they may see the truth. An unborn baby is a human person entitled to all the rights of our constitution and the natural law. In Your grace, may abortion become not only illegal, but unthinkable in the United States of America. Nothing is impossible for You. Through Christ Jesus, we pray.
