First Things First Prayer – An Urgent Call to Humility
Father God, we come before you on bended knee to humble ourselves in your Presence. Lord, forgive us for the pride that has covered us as a nation and as your people. We humble ourselves before you now so that you do not have to humble us before our enemies.
Lord, we know that pride brings us low, but if we will humble ourselves before You, we will attain honor. Please reveal to us corporately and individually where there are roots of pride. Please forgive us and help us to uproot it now. Let not the foot of pride come upon us. Holy Spirit, reveal where we are walking in pride! Forgive us for when we laugh at or ridicule our enemy rather than pray for them. Forgive us as we have patted ourselves on the back for being Americans or for the power we have obtained as a country, through military might, prosperity, or education. We recognize that it is only because of YOU that we are able to stand.
Your Word says, Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted (Mt 23:12).
And so we humble ourselves before You.
We submit ourselves to You and draw near to You so that You can draw near to us. That can only come as we cleanse our hearts and our hands from pride. Lord, please cleanse our hands and purify our hearts as we call upon You to help our nation and our President as he stands trial in the Senate. Lord, we boldly enter the throne room of grace to find mercy and grace to help in time of need. We invite you into the impeachment process and ask You to show Yourself strong.
Lord, we pray regarding the witnesses who testify, that there would be nothing hidden that will not be revealed. Let the lying lips be silenced and let truth be exalted and held firm. If there are any who bring false testimony, we pray that it will be revealed. You said a false witness will not go unpunished and he who breathes out lies will not escape. We ask for that to be fulfilled in this trial. Shine your light upon these witnesses and upon the actions of our president so that justice would prevail.
You said that You contend with those who contend with us and You fight against those who fight against us. This is ultimately Your battle, Lord, for it isn’t just the President they desire to remove from a seat of authority, it is You. Lord, help us in this time of turmoil.
We pray mercy for those who have spoken lies, whose intent is to exalt themselves. Forgive us where we have spoken against them to their harm. Lord, we will not judge or condemn our neighbor, for You are the righteous Judge.
Where a spirit of witchcraft has reigned over Washington, D.C. to control and manipulate, we declare that its reign has come to an end. Together, as the Body of Christ, we declare its authority broken. You must bow your knee to the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. For we are ONE nation UNDER God. That is how we were founded and that is to what we return. Be exalted in our nation Lord. We put our hope and trust in You.
Father, there is no darkness, only absence of light. We ask You to first of all remove any and everything in us that would distort or hold down your light in us. We repent of any darkness in us—remove it, God, and allow Your light to shine in and through us. Cause our light to shine so brightly, as a body, that it would shine across this nation and dispel all darkness, flooding our nation with light. We repent once again, with a humble heart from any and all darkness in this nation, we repent and ask you to shine Your light over our nation.
You are the One True God – we exalt Your name in this land and across this nation.
Father, according to 1 Kings 5:4, we ask You to give us rest on every side, with no adversary or crisis. Rest on every side, God, without a fight. We release our faith for the manifestation of this promise today. We declare rest on every side for our families and for our nation. Without a fight. Because of our covenant with You and because of the blood of Jesus Christ.
We lift the garment of heaviness off our families and off this nation and we put on a garment of praise—upon us individually and as a nation in submission to You.
May Your hand rest upon President Donald Trump and every person who is standing with Him in truth. May others see Your hand upon Him in a powerful way. May miracles, signs, and wonders be seen in our nation unlike anything that has ever been seen before. Show Yourself strong on our behalf, God. Arise, O Lord, and bring forth Your promises in this hour.

God, without Trump our country would have gone downhill and we would have witnessed many Christians being sued or being imprisoned because of their beliefs. O Sovereign God and Holy Father: Never has this generation seen so much contempt, deception, false witness, lies, slander, and persecution of our government leaders where the temptation for power and greed and false truth have made our nation divided. We thank You for a President and now the Governor of Nebraska taking strong stands for LIFE! Yes Lord, we are praying for truth to be revealed, we lift up the intense hatred many of these Democrats have towards President Trump, we know it is You in Him they hate. Holy Spirit, come along side our President, may he be like Paul when he was imprisoned. May President Trump be led to thank and praise You Lord. Then interceding for our nation and asking God to pour out His Holy Spirit on all nations and bring people into personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Lord, I pray for President Trump this morning from today’s reading of your word in the Pray for America Bible, Psalm 18:37-50. Lord, you have armed President Trump with strength for the battle (v39), you hold him safe beyond the reach of his enemies, you save him from violent opponents (v48) I pray you will give him victory over all his accusers(v43). Thank you Lord for President Trump and the good work he is doing to uphold religious freedom, protect the unborn and support all who wish to see our nation restored to its founding principles. I pray protection for his entire family as the enemy attacks. Let them know your protecting love. Endue them with strength to withstand the attack of the enemy.

I add Psalm 37 as my prayer, which helped me in my a battle against witchcraft in local government, in support of our President Donald J. Trump and the clearly hateful, unjust arrows sent against him and every peace-loving, law-abiding, hard-working, God-fearing citizen of this country:
1 Of David. Do not fret because of evildoers, nor be envious of them who do wrong.
2 For like the grass they soon wither and fade like a green herb.
3 Trust in Adonai and do good. Dwell in the land, feed on faithfulness.
4 Delight yourself in Adonai, and He will give you the requests of your heart.
5 Commit your way to Adonai. Trust in Him, and He will do it.

Prayed early this morning using Psalm 89….especially verse 19…I have exalted one chosen from the people…also verses in part 21 and 22…Also My arm shall strengthen him. The enemy shall not outwit him, nor the son of wickedness afflict him.
Father, expose the corruptions that is fueling this impeachment process. Father, stop every word of destruction that is aimed at our President Donald J. Trump that You put into office and turn it back to wound the ones who have spoken them and let it do to them what they have intended it to do to President Trump. Let every evil intention and word be returned to the ones who have thought it, spoken it and done it. Let them reap the destruction they have intended to be done to the President You have chosen to lead this country at this time. Let it be twice fold to them what they have intended it to be. Lord, block, destroy and expose the ones who are the backers of this impeachment, the hidden ones with hidden destructive plans for this president and for this country. Let Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done in this as it is in Heaven.

Thank you sovereign Lord of Creation for the love you breathe into humanity. As our country displays justice nationally and internationally may the glory of the Lord be risen upon Americans who humbly confront the enemy through prayer. Let not humility be confused as cowardice or timidity. Lift up your people by your sword of truth as we praise your for the victory to come. A good method for “rightly dividing” the Word of God is called “20 20” – go back 20 verses, then go forward 20 to keep from getting out of context.
Beginning in 2 Chron 6:34 up to 7:14 Solomon is forming a Covenant with God and sealing it with sacrificial offerings. Verse 7:15 to the end of Chapter 7 is defining our job as intercessors to stand in the gap for our nation.

The Lord has shown me the following two Scriptures to declare: Psalm 94:15 (NIV): “Judgment will again be founded on righteousness, and all the upright in heart will follow it.” and Isaiah 28:17 (NASB): “I will make justice the measuring line and righteousness the level; then hail will sweep away the refuge of lies and the waters will overflow the secret place.”
I came across Psalm 140: 8 which says: Grant not, O Lord, the desires of the wicked; do not further their evil plot, or they will be exalted.

Amen! Karen, I too have felt called to pray against the spirit of pride in our country. I often cringe at the chanting of USA! USA! as overly prideful.
I am sensing in my spirit that this impeachment trial is a way to keep President Trump humble before God and dependent on His grace. It would be so easy for him to become proud as he sees the massive support and attendance at his rallies. Therefore the thorn in his side.
As we confess our individual and national false pride, let us look not to our economic or military might but to God who is our Provider. I pray that the Holy Spirit would give President Trump discernment to understand it is not truly about him personally but an attack on God, and the intensity of it leads me to believe time is short.
