A long-time IFA board member brought to our attention a critical meeting in Austin, Texas regarding radical sex education for young students. In the county where IFA is headquartered, graphically sexualized books were purchased and required to be placed in every elementary classroom and upper level language arts classrooms. In New Jersey and four other states, LGBT inclusion has been mandated throughout the school curriculum. This battle may be in your county or school district too. And if it’s not now, it’s coming. As we at IFA seek the Lord fervently about this push to use the schools to teach unbiblical sexuality to children, we sense that the Lord wants Christians to be educated and to speak up. “On Monday, October 28, the Austin ISD Board of Trustees plans to vote on the final approval of a new radical, hypersexualized sex-education curriculum teaching first graders inappropriate graphical detail on human reproductive biology while promoting non-binary and gender identity/expression.

AISD’s proposed curriculum, starting in elementary school, has been presented as being based exclusively on “National Standards” yet will not identify where these national standards come from. The answer is there are no National Standards, but there is an agenda developed by groups that are to the letter pro abortion, pro changing gender identity standards and view parents as part of the problem, not part of the solution. If this program passes in Austin, Texas, it will likely become the new standard for most schools throughout the United States.

The curriculum introduces age inappropriate graphical detail on human reproductive biology while promoting non-binary and gender identity/expression including behavior emphasized by classroom roleplaying and manipulated teaching methods. In an attempt to destroy family identities, terms like mother, father, brother and sister are discouraged in school. When the program fails to prevent pregnancy or STDs, a program for “medical referrals” will keep parents from learning about their own children’s sexual activity, pregnancy prevention and abortion services offered through clinical associations with the school district.

The proposed sex-education program will cause many children to question their identity through suggestive materials endorsing the “sexual rights” of children at all ages.
