Halloween is upon us, but there’s much more happening than just trick-or-treating and shouting “Boo!” With an election just days away on November 3, 2026, witches and warlocks have been very busy. Halloween is the highest day on the Satanic calendar, and it’s a time when demonic portals are active. Witches and pagans are lighting their candles, casting their spells, and uniting with the dark realm in order to, in their words, “Stop the corrupt, fascist government of Donald Trump and all of his enablers by taking back our government!”

This isn’t the first time that those who practice the dark arts have come against President Trump or conservative figures like the late Charlie Kirk. In 2017, 2024, and 2025, there was a concerted effort by witches around the country to “bind,” or “take back power” from President Trump and conservative leaders.

The ringleader behind many previous efforts to demonically influence elections is author and occult speaker Michael M. Hughes, whose work has been featured in the New York Times, The Atlantic, Boston Globe, CNN, The L.A. Times, Rolling Stone, Comedy Central, Wire, Elle, Vox, and Cosmopolitan. On his website, he boasts that he is “the creator of the internationally viral Spell to Bind Donald Trump and All Those Who Abet Him.”

Some of Hughes’ books include Magic for the Resistance: Ritual Spells for Change, Witch Lights, and Demon Lights. He states that he “gives regular sold-out presentations on magic, tarot, witchcraft, energy work, and all things weird and wonderful.”

Blue Wave Ritual 3.0

With Election Day fast approaching, Hughes is at it again, and this time, he’s providing very specific, detailed spells and rituals to use against what he labels as an authoritarian, wicked, deceptive, and unjust regime. On October 9, 2026, Hughes’ article Blue Wave Ritual 3.0 was posted to Medium, a popular online publishing and blogging platform. It begins, “A mass spell to save democracy…this mass ritual will take place on Monday, October 26, 2026, at 8 p.m. EST, or however close to that time you can in your time zone. You may repeat it as often as you wish (including on or the night before Election Day, November 3).”

Hughes calls the ritual “easy and powerful,” while imploring readers to share it with friends. He stresses, “I don’t care if you’re a Republican, a Democrat, an Independent, a Libertarian, a Green, unaffiliated, or if you’ve never voted or cared about politics. If you care about the principles that have sustained our fragile democracy through dark times–justice, the rule of law, equality, civility, and human rights– your country needs you now more than ever. We need the Blue Wave. We’re standing on the edge of an abyss, America. It’s time to put all of our collective spiritual energy into the fight.”

Hughes emphasizes that those who participate do not need to be witches, Wiccans, or magic practitioners, adding that “you can be any religion or none, spiritual, or atheist.” Participants can invoke any god or goddess during the ritual, or simply appeal to the “Universe at large.”

What’s Involved in the Blue Wave Ritual?

The full details of the ritual (as well as the direct link to Hughes’ spell) will not be revealed in this article to ensure that access to the demonic is limited. Nonetheless, it’s important for intercessors to understand some of its components so they can pray against this nefarious scheme.

In the ritual, Hughes directs adherents to make their own altar and burn incense if they choose. They’re also instructed to lay out a blue candle (representing Democrats), a red candle (representing Republicans), a printout of the United States map, blue paint (representing the Blue Wave), paint brushes, the Justice tarot card, a nail, and photos of candidates, or other election materials.

Hughes provides the spell to use in the ritual, which calls upon various spirits to help achieve a Blue Wave victory. The words of the incantation summon entities to “wash away corruption and injustice.” Throughout the occult procedure, participants are encouraged to “Get into it” by making “splashy water noises” that mimic a blue wave, or to repeat the phrase, “wash away the fascists.”

Manifesting Dark Intentions

Some parts of the ritual call for certain words and phrases to be spoken “with absolute contempt and fury,” as partakers visualize what they want to happen. Hughes stresses that those engaging in the ritual should “feel the joy of a Democratic sweep, resoundingly crushing Donald Trump and his allies and winning the House and flipping the Senate. Use all of your senses– hear the cheers of voters, feel the upwelling of happiness in your heart, see in your mind’s eye the electoral map flipping from red to blue on cable news. Really feel it as if it is already accomplished. That is an important key to manifesting magic.”

Eventually, any red candles are to be disposed of as “rotten, toxic garbage.” Blue candles, however, are to be kept burning, if possible, even up to Election Day.

Naming Names

Hughes gives examples of candidates that participants can focus their intentions on so they will “rise,” such as U.S. Senate nominees James Talarico (D, TX) and Abdul El-Sayed (D, MI). He also writes, “If you’re feeling a bit hexy and want to get personal, feel free to add a litany of the names of despicable GOP members” who need their power broken such as President Donald Trump, Vice-President JD Vance, Speaker of the House Mike Johnson, Texas Governor Greg Abbott, U.S. Senate candidate Ken Paxton (R, TX), and Senator Susan Collins (R, ME). He suggests adding candidates from both local and national races to the mix so their names can be used during the spell-casting.

Hughes isn’t the only occult aficionado who is calling on Americans to cast spells. One witch who calls herself Professionally Ungovernable posted a “Spell for a Blue Tsunami” that was timed to the full moon on October 25, 2026. She insists that the time is right for “gathering up righteous rage” and that “there’s no room for doubt or fear in this spell.”

All of the above details are disturbing. But whether it’s witches on YouTube, Reddit, WitchTok, or Etsy, they all share a common theme: they despise conservative values. It’s quite telling that those who call the GOP and conservatives wicked are the same people who support the murder of babies and mutilating the bodies of children. They compare conservatives to fascists, yet they are the first to censor the views of those who disagree with them and demand that everyone accept their dogmas.

The Red Line Coup

IFA recently warned intercessors about a possible Red Line Coup that is reportedly being planned from inside a network of former USAID democracy officials, retired national-security leaders, protest organizers, and constitutional “reform” activists. A detailed guide (provided here) was released that reveals the details about how the 2026 midterm elections can be used to create a “crisis of legitimacy.” This is an evil conspiracy designed to dismantle our nation’s foundations, from our government to the Constitution. Make no mistake, these are the very same goals that the witches and pagans aspire to. With “Do as thou wilt” as their mantra, nothing is off the table.

The Occult: A Dangerous, Demonic Trend

This trend of casting spells, hexing candidates, and overthrowing the government should be greatly concerning to Americans and Christians. Unfortunately, since 2020, witchcraft and occult practices have increased exponentially as more and more people turn to tarot card readers, Wiccans, psychics, shamans, and New Age teachers, rather than the Lord Jesus Christ. Occult apps are also on the rise, as well as necromancy and psychedelic use.

The pagan worldview is spreading across the nation as pride and idol worship run amok. John Daniel Davidson, the author of Pagan America, The Decline of Christianity and the Dark Age to Come, warns that a spirit of paganism has taken root in America. He states, “There is only one alternative to Christianity and that is paganism…when we say paganism, I don’t mean there is going to be a sudden resurgence of the worship of Zeus…what I’m referring to is the return of the pagan ethos…a rejection of transcendent or objective truth.” In fact, many have become enchanted by “radical moral subjectivity.”

The LGBTQ movement, Critical Race Theory, Black Lives Matter, abortion, feminism, socialism–they are all tied to paganism in some way. Witches and spellcasters paint these things as “good.” All the while, anyone who stands up for truth is “wicked.” Pagans claim that their rights and “democracy” are under attack by tyrants, Nazis, and the religious right.

Unfortunately, they cannot see their own ignorance. Paganism expert John D. Davidson stresses that “individual rights, rule of law, consent of the governed–these aren’t things that just exist in a secular, liberal utopia. They depend on an actual Christian society to sustain them.”

Isaiah 5:20 warns, Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter! Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes and shrewd in their own sight!

Intercession is the Key

Assassination culture, reproductive “rights,” gender confusion, transhumanism, antisemitism, medical tyranny (vaccine mandates), and Marxism–these are all the rotten fruit of paganism. But we are not helpless in this battle. Let’s take our cue from godly men such as Rees Howells, a missionary whose life of intercession literally changed world events. U-boats, tanks, bombs, and Hitler himself were no match for the powerful prayers that shook heaven during World War 2.

The forces of darkness stand no chance against the King of Kings! Jesus Christ has ALL AUTHORITY over any spell or any demons that could be summoned. As intercessors, we partner with Him.

Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you, Luke 10:19.

Lord Jesus, we ask for Your mighty hand to halt the forces of darkness that seek to influence the 2026 midterm elections and any evil plan in the works. We plead Your precious blood over our poll stations and workers, as well as over the people of our nation. We also plead Your blood over any spells, enchantments, or curses that are being cast by the Blue Wave 3.0 Movement. We declare those spells null and void! We know that many who are engaged in pagan practices, such as witchcraft, do not know who You are, Lord. We pray that instead of a Blue Wave across America, we would have a wave of revival where dark hearts are enlightened by the truth of Your Word and by Your sacrifice on the cross. Give Your angels charge over our citizens, over our elections, and over the beloved land You have given us.

It’s amazing to know that IFA intercessors were on a 911 prayer call on Monday night, October 26, 2026, at the very time when witches began their Blue Wave spells. Never doubt the power of prayer! Keep interceding!
