I Prayed have prayed
Lord, we pray for the Trump administration as they crackdown on ensuring election integrity this November. Protect the administration as they guard our elections from fraud, and give investigators wisdom for each case. Encourage Christians to vote the Bible. Amen.

Election Day is about three weeks away, and the question of who is allowed to vote, and whether the process can be trusted, is back at the center of the national debate. The Trump administration says it is answering that question with prosecutions, new security guidance, and a plan to put monitors in polling places nationwide.

Have you taken your place on the wall?

The administration’s case spans several federal agencies, and it is colliding with Democratic leaders who call the whole effort a political stunt.

From Breitbart:

The Trump administration is taking “decisive action to protect our elections,” from prosecuting election crimes to strengthening election infrastructure security, which is particularly important ahead of the midterm elections.

More specifically, the DOJ has prosecuted dozens of election crimes, announcing 16 charges against individuals this week alone, as previously reported. Charges included individuals voting on behalf of the dead, casting multiple ballots, and making false statements on citizenship applications in order to register to vote. Many of the individuals were actually legal non-citizens, and one of them was an illegal alien, the latter of whom is accused of voting during the 2024 election.

Ahead of the elections, the DOJ plans to deploy 1,000 election monitors to polling locations across the country on Election Day.

The Justice Department’s recent cases are not limited to this week’s charges. Last month, prosecutors unsealed an indictment against a former Postal Service employee accused of throwing away mail, including roughly 300 mail-in ballots headed to Utah voters. The department also announced charges against five people in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Wisconsin, including two people in the country illegally, over alleged illegal voting in the last two election cycles. FBI Director Kash Patel said at the time that the bureau would use every available resource to pursue credible allegations of fraud. As in any criminal case, these are allegations, and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

The Department of Homeland Security has added its own examples. A Sept. 17 press release said Homeland Security Investigations agents in El Paso arrested Ludwig Uriel Espejo-Carrillo, a Mexican national, on Sept. 3. He faces administrative charges of unlawful voting and falsely claiming U.S. citizenship after voting in 2015, and he remains in ICE custody pending removal. DHS also released its 2026 Election Infrastructure Security Plan, which offers voluntary, no-cost security services to states and localities. The plan notes that more than 10,000 local jurisdictions run elections and that state and local officials hold primary responsibility for protecting them. Separately, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services rescinded a Biden-era memo and issued guidance telling nursing homes to help residents vote.

White House spokeswoman Lauren Bis said President Donald Trump has done more than any predecessor to ensure free and fair elections and that anyone who votes illegally will be held accountable. The political fight centers on the SAVE America Act, which would require photo ID and proof of citizenship to vote. After Trump’s July primetime address, in which he argued the system is vulnerable, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries called the president’s claims conspiracy-peddling. Sen. Patty Murray said the bill is going nowhere in the Senate.

Intercessors should care about this because a free people can only be governed by consent if the count is honest and the voters are lawful citizens. Scripture says a just weight is the Lord’s delight (Proverbs 11:1), and the same principle applies to a ballot. Pray that every legitimate vote is counted once, that no citizen is disenfranchised, and that no one who is ineligible dilutes another American’s voice. Pray for the Justice Department and FBI to pursue cases with careful evidence and fairness, so the guilty are held accountable and no one is wrongly accused. Pray for the poll workers, election officials, and monitors who will carry this responsibility in the coming weeks, and for protection over them. Pray also for Congress to take up commonsense safeguards like voter ID and citizenship verification, which polling cited in the source says most Americans support. And pray that believers will not give in to cynicism or stay home, but will vote, serve, and stand watch over their own communities.

Let’s pray for honest elections, for courage and integrity among our leaders, for justice that is equal and impartial, and for a faithful turnout of Christians on Nov. 3.
