Lord, we thank You for how You have protected boys and girls from transgenderism in schools across America. We pray this dangerous and harmful ideology would have no place in education!

After years of legal battles over the meaning of Title IX, a major chapter appears to have come to an end. Efforts to revive the Biden administration’s controversial rewrite of the law have officially collapsed, leaving the Trump-era protections in place and marking a significant victory for parents, women’s advocates, and opponents of gender ideology in schools.

Post a prayer for your state!

From The Federalist:

The Biden administration’s attempt to force males into female-only spaces through Title IX is finally dead as of Tuesday, as trans-crazed groups dropped their appeals to get the rule reinstated.

While the Trump administration effectively ended the Biden Title IX rewrite as one of its first actions after taking back the White House in January 2025, reinstating the 2020 rules from the first term, there were still lingering left-wing attempts to get a judge to block the Trump administration and force the gender social experiment on schoolchildren.

Left-wing groups intervened in cases against the Biden Department of Education in two appeals circuits to continue the push for government-enforced gender ideology. But after radical pro-trans groups dropped their appeals in the 5th and 6th Circuits, Defending Education — a group that sued the Biden Department of Education to stop the rule in the 11th Circuit — was able to file a motion to dismiss its case as moot. The court accepted the motion on Wednesday.

The Biden administration’s Title IX rewrite sought to redefine sex-based protections in schools, requiring educational institutions to treat gender identity as equivalent to biological sex. Critics argued that the changes would undermine protections for women and girls by opening female-only spaces, including locker rooms, restrooms, and overnight accommodations, to biological males who identify as female.

The rule also sparked concern over changes to campus disciplinary procedures. Opponents warned that the rewrite weakened due process protections for students accused of sexual misconduct by lowering evidentiary standards and limiting opportunities for the accused to review evidence and defend themselves.

Now, with the appeals abandoned and key court challenges effectively concluded, supporters of the Trump-era Title IX framework are celebrating what they view as a decisive victory. Defending Education’s Sarah Parshall Perry called the outcome the end of a “national nightmare,” arguing that the Biden rule violated civil rights protections, constitutional principles, and administrative law.

The legal battle over gender ideology in education is far from over, but this development represents a significant setback for efforts to redefine longstanding sex-based protections through federal regulation. It also highlights the ongoing national debate over parental rights, student privacy, religious liberty, and the proper interpretation of civil rights law.

Let’s thank God for this victory, and let’s continue to pray that schools would protect the dignity, safety, and well-being of every student while upholding truth and fairness.
