Father, we ask You to cleanse the Democratic party of its rising antisemitism problem. We pray that the hatred of Your chosen people would have no place or home in America!

Senator John Fetterman is sounding the alarm over what he describes as a growing antisemitism problem within the Democratic Party, calling on party leaders to confront the issue directly. His comments come amid increasing tensions over Israel, rising anti-Jewish rhetoric nationwide, and growing division within American politics over support for the Jewish state.

From Breitbart:

Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) responded to the news that Pennsylvania Supreme Court Justice David Wecht is leaving the Democratic Party over rising antisemitism, stating that the party needs to “confront its own rising antisemitism problem.”

In a post on X, Fetterman shared a photo of an article from Politico regarding Wecht announcing that he was leaving the Democratic Party and becoming an independent. Fetterman noted that while he is not switching his party affiliation, he understood Wecht’s “personal choice.”

“I know David and his legendary father, Cyril,” Fetterman said. “As I’ve affirmed, I’m not changing my party—but I fully understand David’s personal choice. The Democratic Party must confront its own rising antisemitism problem.”

Senator Fetterman’s comments reflect a broader national debate that has intensified since the October 7 attacks on Israel and the wars that followed in the Middle East. Across college campuses, protests, political rallies, and social media, antisemitic incidents have surged dramatically in recent years. Jewish Americans have increasingly voiced concerns about hostility, intimidation, and open hatred targeting both Jewish communities and supporters of Israel.

At the same time, divisions within the Democratic Party over Israel have become more visible. While many longtime Democrats continue to strongly support Israel as America’s ally, a growing progressive faction has embraced rhetoric that critics argue crosses the line from political disagreement into antisemitism. Fetterman has emerged as one of the few Democrats willing to publicly challenge that trend within his own party.

Scripture, meanwhile, commands believers to pray for the peace of Jerusalem and stand against hatred toward God’s chosen people. This moment is not merely political — it is deeply spiritual. The rise of antisemitism should concern every believer, especially as hostility toward biblical truth and God’s covenant promises continues to grow worldwide.

Let’s pray that antisemitism would be exposed and rejected in America, and for leaders with the courage to stand boldly for truth and for Israel.
