I Prayed have prayed
Lord, we ask You to expose the full truth about Ilhan Omar. Let leaders on both sides of the aisle put aside partisan politics to pursue true, unflinching justice.

A Minnesota Democrat with deep ties to his party’s establishment says he believes the long-running allegation that Rep. Ilhan Omar married her brother as part of an immigration fraud scheme is “almost certainly true,” a rare public break in Democratic ranks as the federal investigation into the congresswoman intensifies.

Join others crying out to the Lord day and night.

From Fox News:

A prominent Minnesota Democrat who served in the state’s House of Representatives revealed on Thursday he believes the federal probe into Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., has legitimacy.

…

“Democrats should understand that the allegation is almost certainly true—whatever conclusion they draw from that point could vary—and her denials calling it a right-wing, Islamophobic or racist conspiracy are almost certainly not,” Joe Radinovich posted on X in reference to the claims that Omar married her brother as part of an alleged fraudulent immigration scheme.

…

“You’re right,” Radinovich wrote. “I’m not stupid. I believe the Trump DOJ has next to no credibility and that it’s unclear to me the timing of the raid was appropriate—though it’s notable a DC judge signed off on it—but I’m pretty confident this specific allegation is true.”

Radinovich is no political outsider. He served in the Minnesota House from 2013 to 2015, managed Rick Nolan’s 2016 congressional campaign, ran Jacob Frey’s successful 2017 bid for Minneapolis mayor before becoming Frey’s chief of staff, and was the DFL nominee for Minnesota’s 8th Congressional District in 2018. He also worked with Don Samuels in both of his unsuccessful primary challenges against Omar in 2022 and 2024, a history Omar’s campaign seized on Friday, calling his claims false and accusing him of being a shill for Republican and corporate money. Briana Rose Lee, who served as an operations director for Omar’s campaign, dismissed his post as a “witch hunt.”

The comments follow the Oct. 12 raid on Omar’s Washington, D.C., home by Homeland Security Investigations, during which agents seized her passport, phone and computer. Sources told Fox News Digital the raid stemmed from an investigation into whether Omar or her late father fraudulently filled out her citizenship paperwork decades ago, a probe that could lead to her denaturalization. Fox has also reported that investigators have Omar’s DNA, and her sister, Sahra Noor, voluntarily submitted to questioning shortly after the raid. Court filings from the U.S. Attorney’s Office in D.C. refer to the congresswoman as “Ilhan Omar Nur Said Elmi,” sharing a surname with Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, the British citizen she married in 2009.

The marriage questions are not new to this administration. Fox News Digital confirmed that the Obama administration opened a probe into the alleged fraudulent marriage in 2016, and a source said it remained open until the Biden administration closed it in 2021. The New York Times reported that investigators believed the statute of limitations had passed. No criminal charges have been filed, and Omar has consistently denied the allegation, most recently calling the scrutiny a political “vendetta” by President Trump. Radinovich also cautioned Democrats about defending her on questions surrounding her finances, an area that has drawn scrutiny before.

Let’s pray that the full truth about Rep. Omar’s marriage and citizenship would be brought into the light, and that investigators, prosecutors, and judges would follow the evidence wherever it leads, free from political motive in either direction. Let’s pray for integrity in America’s immigration and naturalization system, that fraud would be exposed and the law applied equally to the powerful and the ordinary citizen alike. Let’s pray that leaders in both parties would value truth above partisan loyalty. And let’s pray for Rep. Omar herself, that she would come to know the One who is the way, the truth, and the life.
