House Votes to Cut $9 Billion in ‘Wasteful Spending’
Just after midnight and early Friday morning, House Republicans passed a key $9 billion recession package, sending it to President Trump’s desk.

From The Daily Wire:
“President Trump and House Republicans promised fiscal responsibility and government efficiency. Today, we’re once again delivering on that promise,” House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) said. “This package eliminates $9 billion in unnecessary and wasteful spending at the State Department, USAID, and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.”
He added, “The American people will no longer be forced to fund politically biased media and more than $8 billion in outrageous expenses overseas. While Republicans continue to deliver real accountability, restore fiscal discipline, and protect taxpayer dollars, Democrats continue to defend waste, fraud, and abuse. This isn’t the end, it’s the beginning. We look forward to passing additional rescissions bills throughout the 119th Congress.”
We reported yesterday on how the Senate voted in favor of these cuts. Republican senators did, however, remove $400 million in cuts of the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief in order to secure the votes necessary to pass the measure.
Still, this is a win for President Trump and Republicans in Congress. Fox News notes this effort was largely seen as a test run of a process to claw back funds that hasn’t been used in over 20 years. With this measure passed, it’s likely we may seem similar efforts to cut wasteful spending move through Congress in the coming months.
For now, let’s thank God for these cuts and continue to pray for our leaders in Washington. Let’s pray that they steward our taxpayer money well and cuts things wisely.

Praise God that this has ed. I am grateful that we have a President and an Administration that are committed to eliminating wasteful spending in our government. Thank you Jesus.
We NEED to end all taxpayer money going to cruel and unnecessary animal experiments! WE NEED to end all experiments in Laboratories, universities like at Texas A & M–hurting beagles like Chami #FreeChami and Felicity , University of Pennsylvania– disabling puppies; Did you know the University of PA in Philly are doing terrible crippling experiments on PUPPIES???? Go to http://www.WhiteCoatWaste.com for the evidence. I found the information ! , For forty years, Harvard’s Margaret Livingstone HAS TORMENTED infant macaques –The National Institutes of Health (NIH) funded this lab that used infant monkeys to study visual recognition by preventing them from seeing faces, either by sewing their eyes shut or by requiring staff to wear welders’ masks around them. Monkeys were also made to wear goggles that simulated disorienting strobe lights for the first 18 months of their lives, and in some cases, electrode arrays were implanted into the monkeys’ brains. When the tests were finished, the animals were typically killed and dissected. Margaret Livingstone removes infant rhesus macaques from their mothers soon after birth and deprives them of normal visual input so that she can study the deleterious effects of sensory deprivation on their developing brains
So, I am all in favor to ending all taxpayer money going for CRUEL, UNNECESSARY EVIL AND DEMONIC procedures and so-called experiments.
I feel that the indigent, poor, the elderly, and the families in need of food assistance are being disregarded greatly. What would Jesus think about all this. Caring for those in need is a huge part of this country’s moral fiber, as well as the duty of all persons aligned with the values of Christ.
I’m thankful for every step toward a balanced budget – even though this just cuts wasteful spending and does not yet accomplish it. YHVH, please continue to work through our government leaders to accomplish that worthy goal – give them Godly wisdom as they seek You for it – for it is a worthy task, but one in which they need Your help. We’ve been crying out for You to defund evil people, organizations, schemes and plans, etc. and we believe You are transferring the wealth of the wicked to the righteous who will use it to Your glory!
AMEN!!!
Yes, praise God for these cuts that waste tax-payer dollars. May God continue to reset our nation back to our righteous roots.
